McCain rally starts.

We’re at the Cobb performance center, in a ballroom that’s packed — certainly the largest GOP rally involving a presidential candidate.

State Sen. Jeff Mullis of Chickamauga is the emcee. Former Georgia attorney general Mike Bowers is here, as well as his lobbyist son Bruce. Both were onboard with McCain early.

“He’s a man of courage, and that cannot be disputed,” Mike Bowers said. Bowers is West Point. McCain is Annapolis. So some compromise of principle was necessary.

Obviously, it’s not necessary to mention that Johnny Isakson and Saxby Chambliss are somewhere in the region.

McCain’s on the ground. We’re waiting.

McCain is a fraud. He is conservative on some issues, but his greatest fun is to make Republicans mad. McCain/Feingold, Bush tax cuts only benefit the rich (of course now that’s not what he said), McCain/Kennedy amnesty, McCain/Leiberman to raise your gas by $0.50 per gallon.

The Democrats voted for Kerry because he was electable. Anyone falling for that argument should think long and hard.

McCain is a RINO. I and many of my friends will stay home rather than vote for him. He’s CLinton-Lite. I see very little difference from him and Hitlary.

For those of you who will stay home and let Hillary win OR vote for Hillary over McCain, you have just cast a vote for Osama bin Laden. Hillary will dishonor those in uniform and pull us out of Iraq and Afghanistan. She will pull us back and leave us less guarded against terrorists. You have just stated you will dishonor those in uniform and make them retreat from their mission unaccomplished. I hope each of you are willing to accept you have publicly stated complete disregard for those service men and women and the defense of your nation. Your selfish aims are to put your hatred first over your nation. This is a time to stand up not to run and hide. Perhaps it is better you do go hide in the corner and let Hillary win. Only cowards would allow such action to happen to their nation. This proves how pathetic the party has become that people would openly let their nation turn to weakness. By all means, do your part and rub your nation’s flag in the dirt. May the blood of those who die in the process be placed on your hands.

Sean Hannity said McCain is not conservative. I say, pro-life is conservative. Supporting the Iraq war, supporting conservative judges, opposing universal health care, being for less government spending and low taxes, and against gun control is the definition of conservative. Rush, Ann Coulter, think the Republican Party will be destroyed with a McCain nomination; I say attacks on McCain from people like them is what could destroy the Party, not McCain himself.

Go Mitt! You are just what our sagging economy needs right now! I think McCain’s little trick several days prior to the Florida debate was deplorable! Lying and twisting your position on any withdrawal timetables in Iraq was his obvious desperate attempt to change the focus to the war and away from discussion of the economy, which he knows you clearly excel on. McStain has readily admitted he is weak on economic matters. Dirty tricks and politics! McStain you should be ashamed!

We need Mitt because he is outside the Washington establishment. Just like Washington was trying to ramm amnesty down our throats, the RNC is trying to do the same with John McCain. He is the exact opposite of Ronald Reagan. Our only chance for conservative action is Mitt Romney. He is able to go there without any promises made to Senators, Govenors, or lobbyists! Go Mitt!
