McCain as the watchdog over federal spending, and whether it includes the F-22.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
As we said, the topic of earmarks was big at the John McCain rally in Cobb County tonight. Former U.S. senator Phil Gramm, who is McCain’s national campaign co-chair, declared that the world wouldn’t know of the Alaskan bridge to nowhere (requested by a GOP senator) had it not been for McCain.
Saxby Chambliss, too, characterized McCain as the guard dog of the federal treasury. Every senator and congressman in Washington had tangled with McCain at one point or another about spending.
Which brings up the topic of Lockheed and the F-22, made in Marietta. The entire Georgia delegation, House members and senators, have fought McCain’s efforts to trim the program substantially.
We asked Chambliss if he thought that would hurt McCain in metro Atlanta. He said no. After that particular battle, the Georgia senator said, “He moved on and we moved on.”

Go Mitt! You are just what our sagging economy needs right now! I think McCain’s little trick several days prior to the Florida debate was deplorable! Lying and twisting your position on any withdrawal timetables in Iraq was his obvious desperate attempt to change the focus to the war and away from discussion of the economy, which he knows you clearly excel on. McStain has readily admitted he is weak on economic matters. Dirty tricks and politics! McStain you should be ashamed!

Actions speak louder than words. McCain’s advice to “stop spending” is also a way of saying “spend with care” - an unwelcome philosophy is this environment. Comfortable with telling the truth to Americans - even if it means losing the nomination - make McCain a candidate worth considering. Attend one of his town hall meetings. He speaks AND listens. Questions are not scripted at these events. Actions speak louder than words, and McCain was the only candidate to visit the troops over the Thanksgiving holiday. Meet the candidate, and then decide.

McCain sold his soul down the river in Florida, and nobody can express it more accurately than comedian Jackie Mason: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkrHn9TOqCo.
Saxby & Johnny, surely you know this about the man you endorsed:

VOTE FOR ROMNEY
We are currently in a fight to save our country. We are currently fighting for the futures of our children and grandchildren. What will be left for your children in 20 million illegals—-plus millions more through chain migration are given amnesty???
If John McCain, Clinton, or Obama are elected——the first thing that they will do is try to push amnesty again!!!
Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee have ZERO chance of winning. Please vote for Mitt Romney so that we can stop John McCain—-and save our country!!!!

Huckabee has ZERO chance of winning. He is only staying in the race to steal votes from Romney, as he is hoping that he will get a position if McCain is elected.
Therefore, whoever votes for Huckabee or Paul—-is actually voting for McCain.
And, McCain will mean MORE WAR!!! Remember when he was asked what we should do about Iran—-and he sang “bomb bomb bomb—-bomb bomb Iran”.
Is this who you would want to see in office??
PLEASE support Mitt Romney—-we must stop McCain!!!

Bren, zero chance? Come on, all he needs is a little surge by Tues. and he’ll be fine. He isn’t stealing votes from Romney and he isn’t running for VP. I could say Romney is stealing votes from Huckabee. This race is only 8% over and after Tues. there are still plenty of delegates and states left. I’m not giving up on Huckabee, he will win some states Tues. and we’ll see where it stands. No, I don’t want McCain he seems like he’ll be stubborn and he’s liberal(pretending to be conservative now)on some policies. He does support cutting spending by Congress, I like that, but, Huckabee is the man. Sorry, Mitt’s just going to have a big write-off from this campaign.

Thanks EAV girl for sharing the great video of Jackie Mason’s comical rant about John McCain’s lies to try to get ahead! The link didn’t work and it looks like that is because the period at the end was included in the link. Here’s another post of the link. Thanks again, EAV!

atman, Please learn more about Huckabee. He truly is not what he seems to be:
Many would question whether Mike Huckabee is a true conservative due to being pro-illegal aliens and pro high taxation; I would question whether he is even a true CHRISTIAN! For an ex-Baptist preacher, the man sure has a potty mouth! Re: where to put the flag pole if anyone disagreed with his position on the Confederate flag, and also considering the risqué music/song lyrics used by Huckabee and his band, Capitol Offense www.irdial.com/blogdial/?p=909 . Imagine the pastor of your church singing H*y Tonk Woman or Devil With a Blue Dress (song lyrics would be offensive to many). It seems to me, this type of music would appeal more to liberals. Mike Huckabee and Hillary Clinton both are having an MTV event today; perhaps Huckabee and his band will find a “clean” song or two to perform during the event?
Huckabee has a history of corruption and lack of ethics and is one of two republican presidential candidates on the list of TOP TEN MOST CORRUPT POLITICIANS of 2007 http://www.judicialwatch.org . One example, after being married for 30 years, Huckabee set up a WEDDING registry at Target for him and his wife to receive gifts for their house. The wedding registry was a way to avoid ethics laws prohibiting gifts to politicians.
Huckabee has also spawned a son who stoned and hung a dog to death. David was fired as a Boy Scout’s counselor for disobeying the “Be Kind” rule. Daddy Huck hindered the police investigation of David for animal cruelty. This should bring pause to anyone thinking of voting for Huckabee. Family animal cruelty issues often times indicate other problems as well.
His personality is described at Wikipedia as petty, thin-skinned, self-righteous, and somewhat vindictive http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Huckabee .
I truly believe Mike Huckabee is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I read somewhere that he wants to be the opening act for a Led Zeppelin concert. I for one, will not be voting for this rock-star-wanna-be. I hope other voters will do their homework and really learn about the candidates rather than just voting party lines and/or for whoever SEEMS to be the most conservative. Please don’t follow Mike Huckabee like blind sheep simply because he can joke around and was a minister. Actions always speak louder than words. Just ask those people who believed in Ted Haggard or Jimmy Swaggert.
Even if somehow, Mike Huckabee were to win the Repub nomination, he could never win in a general election. Just imagine the confederate flag flap being played over and over and over on the Democrat’s TV ads. And does anyone seriously think independents or moderates would vote for Mike Huckabee when he has made it clear that he would change the Constitution to ban abortions and gay marriage? Regardless of anyone’s view on abortion and gays, no candidate will win the White House by alienating so many Democrats and even moderates and independents on these issues.

Shelby, I’m sure we could show any of the candidates rep. or dem. in a negative light. Now, I could do a write up like this on any candidate and make them look bad. There are no perfect people. Huckabee is authentic and will shine if he gets a chance. He would be the best republican against the dems because his message sounds similar in some respects. He has a fresh message about economic views and Americans as a whole. Huckabee is the real CHANGE we are looking for.

Huckabee is just as much of a corrupt liar as John McCain—except Huckabee hides behind religion to get away with it!! PLEASE do research before you vote!!
Romney won more evangelical votes in Nevada, Michigan, and South Carolina than Huckabee did——because most evangelicals know what Huckabee is “really” about!!!
Huckabee has ZERO chance of winning—and so does Paul. If you waste your vote on Huckabee or Paul, it is just like you are voting for McCain!!
Huckabee Exposed as New World Order Puppet
editor on 29 December, 2007 The National Expositor
“Mike Huckabee recently named Richard Haas (the President of the CFR) as his advisor on foreign policy.
So what does Richard Haas believe in? He basically states the Bill of Rights and Constitution should be given up in favor of a cooperative world body run by elite consensus.
Just wait till you see what your children will have to deal with.
Richard Haass: —-states must be prepared to cede some sovereignty to world bodies if the international system is to function.——- Our notion of sovereignty must therefore be conditional, even contractual, rather than absolute.———

Do you realize how the primaries work?? Do you know how many delegates that McCain and Romney have won compared to Huckabee and Paul??
There is NO way that Huckabee or Paul will win as many delegates as Romney and McCain currently have—-NO WAY!!
Therefore, no matter what happens on Tuesday—-Huckabee or Paul are NOT going to win any states. Therefore, they are NEVER going to win enough delegates.
So, if you waste your vote by voting for Huckabee or Paul—-who will NEVER win—-you are actually helping McCain to win!!!

Gee, I thought Isakson was tough on border security - guess he had me fooled, just as Juan McAmnesty fooled ‘em in SC! Chambliss has always been wishy-washy on law enforcement so his endorsement isn’t quite the shocker.
