Isakson, Chambliss endorse McCain; ‘Disappointment’ reigns at Christian Alliance meeting
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Tension over the Republican race for president bubbled into the open on Saturday, as Georgia’s two U.S. senators endorsed John McCain — to the outrage and disappointment of many of the activists who form the party’s base.
Talk about the move by Saxby Chambliss, who is up for re-election this year, and Johnny Isakson filled the hallways at the annual winter meeting of the Georgia Christian Alliance, a gathering of religious conservatives that attracts many Republican activists.
Both senators are to appear at a 5:30 p.m. McCain rally at the Cobb Galleria.
Isakson attended the GCA meeting this morning.
“The war in Iraq — the war on terror — is to me the most important issue we face,” Isakson said afterwards, explaining why he had cast his personal vote for McCain the day before.
Isakson also mentioned McCain’s opposition to the growth of the federal budget, and uncontrolled spending through “earmarks.”
“He was strong on that before it was cool.”
Said Chambliss, in a telephone interview:
“We’re a strong military state and we need a strong commander in chief,” the senior senator said. “At the end of the day, we’ve got to rally around the fellow that can win.”
Former U.S. senator Phil Gramm of Texas, the national co-chairman of the McCain campaign, appeared before the religious group to argue that McCain’s emergence as the Republican party’s nominee on Tuesday was inevitable.
“I hope we can close ranks,” he said.
D.A. King, an illegal immigration activist and Romney supporter, walked out on Gramm when the former Texas senator defended McCain’s record on immigration.
Pat Tippett, a South Georgia activist who supports Mike Huckabee, had the harshest criticism for Isakson and Chambliss. She said they “have undermined the conservative principles of our party by embracing Senator McCain.”
Said Sadie Fields, chairman of the Georgia Christian Alliance:
“We honor both our senators and hold them in high esteem, but this is disappointing.”
Fields predicted that the impact would be felt at the grassroots level. “It just takes the winds out of their sails.”
Four Georgia congressmen who support Romney held a conference call on Saturday, in which they dismissed the endorsement of McCain by Isakson and Chambliss as an example of Senate “clubiness.”
“The Senate’s a universe of 100 people. They almost seem to be removed from their constituents. I don’t know if they sprinkle them with some sort of dust or whatever,” said U.S. Rep. Lynn Westmoreland of Coweta County.

Too bad there wasn’t space to allow Mr. Galloway to include the fact that others in the room laughed at Gramm along with me as I walked out with extreme contempt at the point that Gramm was sent to sell: McCain would only repeat the failed amnesty of 1986 by legalizing the millions of illegals “after the border state governors cerify border security”.
Umm..yeah, that’s what we want - governors who pander to Mexico in Mexico and are elected based on how deeply they bow to the business lobby in supplying it with taxpayer subsidized black market labor.
Why not ask the Mexican government for the high sign on when its time for legalization?
MEMO to Americans: there is no intention of ever securing the border - as proof, note that the horror of 9/11 was more than six years ago…people are walking into the U.S. illegally from all over the world as you read this and the Georgia Senators are somewhere else shilling for McCain Inc.right now.
As someone who is not a member of any political party, I watch with fascination as the GOP sits on the brink of suicde by nominating open borders John ‘Amnesty-Again’ McCain.
The Swimmer Kennedy would make a good VP choice…but perhaps a tad too conservative for the McCain camp.
Any voter who forgets the McCain/ Kennedy amnesty of less than seven months ago gets exactly what will come to them.
The Ann Coulter path of resistance http://boortz.com/more/video/coulter_clinton.html is sounding quite reasonable today.

oops…typo again above, hard to concentrate while trying to remove a knife from my back…I meant to say ” Any voter who forgets the McCain/ Kennedy amnesty of less than seven months ago DESERVES exactly what will come to them.”
Also, readers should take careful note of what the Border Patrol union local in Tucson has to say about McCain…their own Senator - here http://www.local2544.us/ You must scroll down below the photos of the services of the Border Patrol Agent killed last month by an illegal alien drug smuggler - but you already know all about that tragedy from the front pages news items. Right?

D.A., who knifed you in the back? As if you mattered enough anyway to have someone do so…
Let’s face it, the Chambliss/Isakson record on immigration is clear. Hell, Chambliss and Isakson forced the border security first issue to become part of the debate. They’re not backing McCain because he is pro amnesty, which is opposite of their position. They’re backing McCain because of political opportunism and because all reports are that McCain is the kind of guy who is vindictive enough to screw over whomever wasn’t backing him during the campaign should he be elected. Definitely not a profile in courage on either part, but to be certain very smart politics and a very shrewd move by both. I’d rather have my Senators be in the game then be on the sidelines.

Jason, it is beyond time for alarm. At this point, D.A. King can be called a pragmatist.

…who has yet to comment on the Roman Catholic Church’s master plan for taking over America by controlling Congress, the White House and the Supreme Court, and promoting illegal immigration - both here and throughout Latin America - with the multi-tiered stratagem explicitly enunciated in their “National Pastoral Plan for Hispanic Ministry,” available at Amazon.
“Funny” how people with traditionally Roman Catholic family names apparently “lead the fight” against illegal immigration but don’t bother showing Rome’s playbook, published and available, to conclusively demonstrate that illegal immigration is an organized invasion for conquest of the United States by the same historic entity known by America’s Whig Founder as the Anti-Christ.
The same bi-partisan political false-elite faction controlled by Roman Catholic vote getting…to McCain, to Hillary, to Romney…”just can’t seem to buy a copy of their plan” and read it on the House floor or in the well of the Senate.

If Clinton(s) are the nominee they will dig up tons of dirt on John boy going back to his Naval Academy days, his POW torture (you can hear ‘em now insinuating he’s a little nuts because of it, and they’re right) on through his divorce from his first wife, etc, etc. Get ready for 4 years of Clinton hell.

Great comments D.A. Isakson and Chambliss screwed up royally be making ANY endorsement. They need to mind their own business and stay out of it while the race is close. House Members are fine to endorse candidates since they represent the constituents of their district - not the entire state. Sadie Fields is right - this is a HUGE let down for grassroots Republicans. Our Senators failed us.

Let’s face it guys, short of building a wall 30 feet high, we will never be able to stop the illegal immagrints from Mexico. And, if we did we still have the issue on our hands of the ones that will remain. We, as a country, should take advantage of what we have here…..dirt cheap labor. The fair tax law should be passed (with some tinkering) and our problem will be quite close to being solved. Also, as long as cities and counties don’t inforce “single-family housing” laws we will continue to have property values drop and cities will continue to be run by illegals. As a republican voter I am completly torn on who should represent our party for this election. Immigration is one of my most important issues along with abortion.

Jane, it’s a “Bronx Cheer”. If you’re going to say it, get it right.
JeffAtlanta, I’m not easily fooled. I’m smart enough to look at the voting record, especially the votes both Senators took on amendments during the immigration debate and on final passage. Amendments to require illegals to touchback at home, that provided stiff penatlies for their lawbreaking, that denied them benefits, that punished those who assist illegals in coming here. The voting record speaks for itself, but why would you want to let the facts get in the way of your argument.

The issue before us is not Iraq or the War on Terror. The great question is, “What kind of America will we leave our children?” The greatest generation left us an America we could trust, that had our back. Ask yourself this: would you turn your back on George Bush in a war? hell no, he’d shoot you in the back if it suited some misperceived tactical advantage. We need a course correction. there has occurred a spacious disconnect between America and our government. That’s gotta change, and Hillary/Obama can change it.

We need 3,4,5…..50 parties and not the two party system. The two party system is dying. This election will give additional proof of this. The Democratic party will fracture as I see that coming. There are many Democrats who have problems with both Obama and Clinton. Obama’s affiliation to the hateful and pro-Farrakhan (a racist and hateful person who leads a racist black cult) church will come to the forefront very soon and it will be very dvisive as it is already becoming on radio and the blogs. Clinton is a symbol of corruption. McCain makes deals with the Kennedy types who millions distrust. Romney is too rich for a number of people. What ever happened to working class leaders? Leaders who will tax the rich but make the poor work so that neither enslaves the middle class? That is why many more parties are needed and the two party system is dying.

The GOP has abused the constitutionally awarded powers due a president and vice president. These two pirate-puppets have broken just about every law there is confining the white house. She will pull us back and leave us less guarded against terrorists. You have just stated you will dishonor those in uniform and make them retreat from their mission unaccomplished. I hope each of you are willing to accept you have publicly stated complete disregard for those service men and women and the defense of your nation. Your selfish aims are to put your hatred first over your nation. This is a time to stand up not to run and hide. Perhaps it is better you do go hide in the corner and let Hillary win. Only cowards would allow such action to happen to their nation. This proves how pathetic the party has become that people would openly let their nation turn to weakness. By all means, do your part and rub your nation’s flag in the dirt. May the blood of those who die in the process be placed on your hands.

The right wing fanatics are getting a dose of what they deserve. The majority of people in this country, including the Republican party, are sick and tired of their trying to push their religious beliefs onto everybody else. While I am a Democrat and not in the least thinking of voting Republican, I do think McCain is, by far, the most level-headed and experienced candidate in the Republican race. Huckabee and Romney just scare the heck out of me with their religious beliefs which they would inevitably try to legislate upon all of us Americans. I applaud Chambliss and Isakson (which I don’t very often) for making their own minds up and not letting a bunch of religious freaks force them to do something else.

When the Democrats were in control of this state, the roads got built, crooks got locked up, and murders got fried.
Now, under Sadie Fields and Ralph Reed, Republican lawmakers shake in their boots to these two idiots. The metro traffic is in gridlock, we’re running out of water, and the criminals run the courts and prisons (think Brian Nichols and Hinton Fuller).

No one has taken a position on immigration based on any religion including Christianity. That is a red herring. Illegal immigration is a problem because of the financial and social cost to the country. Our senators have decided that currying favor with McCain is more important than representing their constituents. Well, there are lots of fine Republicans who could fill those slots quite nicely. And come election time, I, for one, won’t forget. McCain is a disaster on free speech, immigration, global warming, guantanamo and other issues. I don’t deny his military service for this country, however, that does not give him a free pass for his horrible legislative record. In addition, he has a very thinly veiled nasty streak and hair trigger temper. Thanks, but no thanks. This has nothing to do with hating anyone, but more to do with loving my country. McCain stands for the stifling of free speech, the invasion of our neighbors to the south, pretty lame on the economy (what tax cuts, oh yeah, the ones I voted against twice) closing of guantanamo and a long list of other liberal positions. If you want a choice in the general election then Vote Romney - a true conservative who can WIN!!!!!!!!

Political, national security is a POLICY, not an appropriation, and your comments show just how little you understand it. You asked in an earlier post, “what kind of America will we leave our children”. The kind of America you would like to leave apparently is one where our children live in fear of Islamofascist terrorists, who won’t stop attacking us even if you get your wish of us surrendering in Iraq. I for one want to leave my children a nation that is strong and secure. We disagree, I get it. So go vote for a “change of course”, and go vote for the candidate that wants us to surrender and leave. However, I’ll vote for the guy that has a better understanding of national security, who understands that it is more then “just an appropriation”, and that keeps our country on the offense rather then on defense.
Like I said, too bad for you there’s no surrender party on the ballot with Osama bin Laden as its nominee. I’m sure you’d vote for him.

Realize that he is a war hero, but all war heroes do not make great leaders with multiple PROBLEMS on their plate. Simply would ask him to address the following fundamental challenges with some specific answers, and not “Well my friends, it is going to be hard!”
*Revamping public education to cause our kids to be competitive in a global environment in the future? We continue to fall behind competitive countries, especially in math and science. Our high school diploma graduate rates continue to fall, and many who do graduate have difficulty reading their diplomas!
*Specific plans to cause American enterprise to become more competitive in a global environment? What we seem to hear are threats against businesses, yet some claim they are going to bring back jobs — HOW??? (Her husband suggests that we should ‘slow down economic growth to protect the planet’!)
*Providing additional health care availability without throwing the baby out with the bath water… HOW? (really do not think that dictating from Washington is the answer or the right precedent to establish.)
*Plans and policies to cause the US to become energy independent in 10 - 15 years (walking vice driving is not a solution!)?
*Revamping the US military to bring the strength of the forces back to the levels of 1990 — prior to the cuts of the mid 90’s — with heavier reliance on robotics and artificial intelligence?
*Maintaining the sovereignty of the US by closing the ‘open borders’?
*Cleaning up the obscene waste by the Federal government — especially earmarks by both parties?
*Fixing Social Security, MEDICARE and MEDICAID, including the hard decisions that future generations are either going to have to dig real deep, or some major modifications to the systems will have to be made?
Very hard to imagine that Saudi Arabia, China, Japan and other countries we borrow from today are going to continue to prop us up with loans if we do not subsequently clean up our own house; start managing at national level; and STOP making promises that we know cannot be kept much after being elected.

This life-long democrat’s vote for Senator McCain will cancel out at least one of the republican radio entertainer’s votes.
Hannity, Boortz, and Limbaugh listen day-after-day to people who fawn over them or go speak to adoring audiences and believe that what they hear from their fans is what is representative of America.
The hate and venom being spewed at Senator McCain is troubling but this man spent six years being beaten and tortured. I doubt there is much that these types could do to truly hurt this fine patriot.

If you want to put untold Negroes in prison because illegal immigrants have become a priority in the workforce, elevate Negroes to the highest positions in the criminal justice system; director of prisons, chief of police, and police man/police woman, etc…There will be no measurable blow back from that respective community; neither will they understand the process.
If the New World Order crowd decides to put Barack Obama in the White House, look out Africa. The powers that be will declare that Al-Qaeda has set up business in every African country; obviously military action will be required; chaos and mayhem will follow. The Negroes in America will never understand the process.

Also, I plan to vote for the Democrat who I think will end up being the biggest embarrassment for their party. I hope all of the right wing trash that allowed these immigrant haters to use your party for their nefarious purposes relize that the Republican party will pay heavily in lost elections for generations to come. These uncalled for attacks have rallied immigrant citizens that had never voted before to register. Green Card holding Latinos are applying for citizenship in droves just to be able to vote. In Cobb County alone there are 10,000 newly registered Latinos. Great job D.umb A.zz King. How does it feel to have helped the cause of these hard working people to such a degree. It is a sad day when Republicans think that McCain, Romney and Huckabee actually represent “conservative” prinicples. The fact is that Ton Paul was the only hope. The enraged bigot/theocrat wing of the Republican Party is in full roar and it’s a source of great amusement for those of us on the other side. A suggestion to the DumbA$$ Kings and Sadie Fields of the world: start your own party and run some combination of Tom Tancredo/Lou Dobbs/Tom Delay/Rick Santorum/George Allen on the Presidential ticket.
All the crying on the right about the lack of a Reagan-like candidate for Prez is a sympton of the delusional state of modern Republicans. Reagan gave millions of illegals amnesty, cut and ran from Lebanon, did absolutely nothing in 8 years to end abortion (he put Sandra Day O’Connor on the Supreme Court), had to agree to a huge tax increase after his initial tax cut helped explode the deficit, and basically sounded the death knell for fiscal responsibility within his party.
And you people revere him. Since you lemmings really think he ended the Soviet Union by telling Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin Wall, you deserve what you get. Unfortunately, you geniuses left us with the most incompetent President in the history of the country the last 7 years.

Go Mitt! You are just what our sagging economy needs right now. I think McCain’s little trick several days prior to the Florida debate was deplorable! Lying and twisting your position on any withdrawal timetables in Iraq was his obvious desperate attempt to change the focus to the war and away from discussion of the economy, which he knows you clearly excel on. I’ve never been a big fan of John McCain but reality is beginning to push me in his direction. I could live with Huckabee but he can’t win in the General Election and I don’t think Romney can either. It’s time the non-democrats united behind a candidate that has the best chance of winning, even if they see it as the lesser of the evils. Otherwise, we will have to live with Clinton/Obama.

Many would question whether Mike Huckabee is a true conservative due to being pro-illegal aliens and high taxation; I would question whether he is even a true CHRISTIAN! For an ex-Baptist preacher, the man sure has a potty mouth! Re: where to put the flag pole if anyone disagreed with his position on the Confederate flag, and also considering the risqué music/song lyrics used by Huckabee and his band, Capitol Offense (www.irdial.com/blogdial/?p=909). Imagine the pastor of your church singing H*y Tonk Woman or Devil With a Blue Dress (song lyrics would be offensive to many). It seems to me, this type of music would appeal more to liberals. Mike Huckabee and Hillary Clinton both are having an MTV event today; perhaps Huckabee and his band will find a “clean” song or two to perform during the event?
Huckabee has a history of corruption and lack of ethics and is one of two republican presidential candidates on the list of TOP TEN MOST CORRUPT POLITICIANS of 2007 (www.judicialwatch.org). One example, after being married for 30 years, Huckabee set up a WEDDING registry at Target for him and his wife to receive gifts for their house. The wedding registry was a way to avoid ethics laws prohibiting gifts to politicians.
Huckabee has also spawned a son who stoned and hung a dog to death. David was fired as a Boy Scout’s counselor for disobeying the “Be Kind” rule. Daddy Huck hindered the police investigation of David for animal cruelty. This should bring pause to anyone thinking of voting for Huckabee. Family animal cruelty issues often times indicate other problems as well.
His personality is described at Wikipedia as “petty, thin-skinned, self-righteous, and somewhat vindictive” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Huckabee).
I truly believe Mike Huckabee is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I read somewhere that he wants to be the opening act for a Led Zeppelin concert. Which does Huckabee want more, to be a rock star or to be the president of the US? I for one, will not be voting for this rock-star-wanna-be. I hope other voters will do their homework and really learn about the candidates rather than just voting party lines and/or for whoever SEEMS to be the most conservative. Please don’t follow Mike Huckabee like blind sheep simply because he can joke around and was a minister. Actions always speak louder than words. Just ask those people who believed in Ted Haggard or Jimmy Swaggert.
Even if somehow, Mike Huckabee were to win the Repub nomination, he could never win in a general election. Just imagine the confederate flag flap being played over and over on the Democrat’s TV ads. And does anyone seriously think independents or moderates would vote for Mike Huckabee when he has made it clear that he would change the Constitution to ban abortions and gay marriage? Regardless of anyone’s view on abortion and gays, no candidate will win the White House by alienating so many Democrats and even moderates and independents on these issues.

I agree SOS, but nobody with a sense can figure out that this country and my wallet were much better off during the days of Clinton than they’ve been during the past 8 years. But of course he’s judged by an affair instead. It’s okay though when the neighborhood pastor takes a little extra from the collection basket, molests a kid, is a drunk, or cheats on his own wife. Better yet elect a president who is a so-called God fearing Christian, but can’t string together a sentence that makes sense, certainly can’t speak from the heart or without a speech writer, has been shady from day one and has slapped the middle class across the face, took us to a war in a region that has been at war with itself for hundreds of years and it’s fact his reasons were wrong, has done his best to ignore the man and organization that actually admitted to being behind 9/11, has no respect from leaders or people of other countries with a high standard of living, has turned his back on environmental issues, has lied time and time again, and has been a lame duck for the past 3 years. Yet people around here think you’re nuts for even thinking he has failed, even when over 70% of this country thinks he’s a joke. So they’ll continue to vote for the same old conservative leaders that use God as a way to get votes from these blinded fools in this state.

D.A. King do you deny being associated with the Federation for American Immigration Reform? Is this not what they and you ascribe to?
The Teflon Nativists: FAIR Marked by Ties to White SupremacyBy Heidi Beirich, Southern Poverty Law Center, Dec. 2007
At the center of the Tanton web is the nonprofit Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), the most important organization fueling the backlash against immigration. Founded by Tanton in 1979, FAIR has long been marked by anti-Latino and anti- Catholic attitudes. It has mixed this bigotry with a fondness for eugenics, the idea of breeding better humans discredited by its Nazi associations. It has accepted $1.2 million from an infamous, racist eugenics foundation. It has employed officials in key positions who are also members of white supremacist groups. Recently, it has promoted racist conspiracy theories about Mexico’s secret designs on the American Southwest and an alternative theory alleging secret plans to merge the United States, Mexico and Canada. Just last February, a senior FAIR official sought “advice” from the leaders of a racist Belgian political party.

We all know what Hillary Clinton stands for. McCain while is honorable in respects in his service to America. But, I’m afraid he is just another example of the Washington DC establishment. He is a politician. Tells you what you wanna hear. The Democratic party WANTS McCain to Win the Republican nomination. His sidekick Lindsey Graham is not a true conservative as well and thats another story. But all these people who say just vote for McCain and the republican party so it will defeat Hillary are kidding themselves. You might as well sell your soul to the devil. If Americans want change it starts in CLEANING out both houses of congress. Its not going to change no matter who wins the presidency, the gridlock will continue and the real important issues will not be solved. It also starts in Local governments as well and holding elected officials accountable. Our Government is a* Republic* not a Democracy. It belongs to the people that elect representatives. Its also funny that people who attack conservatives who have Jud-ail Christian values compare them to Islamic Extremist. Hmmm ..I haven’t seen Christians in America running around blowing up themselves and others. Those People who accuse politicians of wearing their relgion on their sleeves, Well who are they is my question? Last time I checked prayer is out of schools, In God WE Trust is in jeopardy and some don’t wanna salute our Grand ole Flag or even recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Like it or not and believe it or not America was founded on the Jud-ail- Christian Values and Morals that influence our Laws. If a person no matter what his or her religion may be, its not going to change the government like some folks going around trying to scare people that its the impending Apocalypse. One thing about it… I very Thankful to live in America, we could all be in the Middle East throwing Rocks at each other and really living in fear. Last but not least GOD BLESS AMERICA

It’s amazing to me as a foreigner, how the so called “greatest nation on earth”, can’t seem to understand that great nations MUST separate religion from politics. You cannot interpret the constitution properly if your judgement is influenced by your own personal religious beliefs. Unfortunately the U.S. is now in the same category as the arab countries who make all decisions based on religion. It’s sad. America used to be a great nation who defended all - not just those who went to the Baptist church on Sunday. Good that there are still some countries left who know that separation of church and state is the only true and fair way to achieve a government that represents all fairly.

By Just Nasty and Mean

Senators Chambliss and Isakson:
I am deeply upset and disappointed at your endorsement of Sn. McCain. As you know, he was:
1) Key senator for amnesty with McCain/Kennedy and wanted to rush the bill through before the public knew what it contained
2) McCain/Feingold, the biggest assault on the 1st amendment in America’s history
3) One of only TWO Republican Senators to vote against the Bush Tax Cut
4)Was a leader of the “Gang of 14” intending to maneuver close votes in the Senate-usually for the Democrats,
5) Is considered a “maverick” on virtually EVERY Republican bill and provided contentious resistance against the leadership. Daschle calle him “a friend of Democrats”.
And as you know, he has the reputation of a “hothead”.
I am sick and tired of your being against conservative values. McCain is left of center from where the core Republican Party wants to be—and left of where Georgia’s republicans are.
That puts you OUTSIDE of our party’s value system.

Allow me to introduce many of you to the concept of the “Lesser of two”, or in the present circumstances, “three evils”. With the momentum McCain has mustered of late he is very likely to be the GOP nominee. Giuliani’s political demise leaves McCain as the only remaining GOP candidate who seems to be able to garner strong independent support. A key requirement for defeating either Democrat in a time when all indications point to the country as a whole leaning towards the Dems.
He clearly has many policy flaws from the perspective of the Right-most side of the political Right. However those flaws notwithstanding, he is still a far cry better than the fascist Hillary and newly declared uber-liberal Obama, both of whom can’t wait to raise taxes as their first priority. If McCain simply does nothing on that front, he’s still better. He can do no worse domestically than his Democratic rivals.
Also, I believe his foreign policy and defense credentials alone have earned my vote. Considering his life experience, I doubt few if any can intimidate him. It’s a harsh and dangerous world out there and no time for Democratic weakness in the White House.
I also want to address the more ardent of the illegal immigration foes. In the short term and technical sense you are absolutely on target. However, you have missed the strategic point those with a long term vision understand. Your efforts to alienate (pun intended) our undocumented, un-legal, Hispanic friends is going to pay major dividends to the Democratic party. Unless the American people muster the will to allow a modern-day trail of tears, our illegal residents will be a fairly permanent fixture. Sure, we’ll deport the criminals on occasion, but collecting and deporting them by the millions is simply not a practical matter.
Eventually, an amnesty package or other “path to citizenship” will occur. The potential for votes and taxes is too strong an aphrodisiac for our politicos to ignore. With Hispanics as the largest minority group in the country we are grooming generations of them to hate the Republican party. Smart move.
In summary, strong arguments can be made that McCain is a RINO. I’d advise you to take a step back and really think about a Clinton Co-Presidency White House and a Democratic congress. Really, I mean it. I want you to think about it all day on election day when your sitting at home pouting that McCain is the GOP nominee. When Hillary care, raised taxes, and military defeat/general weakness occur along with the other likely bad things that us thinking and productive folks fear, I’ll blame the GOP no-shows. My suggestion, get over it. A vote for McCain is really a vote against Hillary/Obama.

It just so happens our religion/country doesn’t mandate our laws and government are “one”, and if you don’t like it—-we’ll cut your head off!

John McCain said at the GOP debate two days ago: “I’ll rely on people to judge me by the company that I keep.” — The company John McCain keeps: Russ Feingold; Teddy Kennedy; Lindsey Grahamnesty; Juan “Mexico First / Free Flow” Hernandez; Jerry “Spanish first” Perenchio; Geraldo Rivera; La Raza…..
It is an outrage and disappointment for Saxby Chambliss, who is up for re-election this year, and Johnny Isakson to endorse John McCain.
Our two Senators just don’t get it! But they will next time them appear on a ballet. Personally I cannot wait to vote against the (I).

Maybe folks are just tired of the Religious Right trying to claim they have an inside track with God.
Maybe folks feel like gay rights aren’t as big a political issue as security. Maybe folks are tired of eight years of intolerance and everyone trying to claim the Reagan legacy as their own.
Maybe it’s time for ‘change’.
McCain is the closest thing the GOP can offer there.
My side has Barack Obama, who I’ll proudly vote for. But if I were a Republican, Senator McCain would have my vote. And that’s the problem. Republicans hate it when a Democrat respects one of their own…it means they must be doing something wrong.
It’s time to reach across the aisle folks. This country can’t be healed by more divisiveness and in-fighting.
Heck, even Ann Coulter is willing to vote for a Democrat under the right circumstances. Ahhh, the winds of change!

Oh so funny to watch the Rethuglicons eat each other alive. Too bad they’re focused on the wrong issues. Face facts, people are fed up with far right religiously-driven ideology. They’ve had their fill of Bush and his holier-than-thou approach to running the country. The consequences of which can be seen all around you. A crumbling infrastructure (roads and bridges for those that don’t know big words), wages are stagnant or decreasing as basics like energy, food, and medical continue to soar, the unnecessary and mismanaged war in Iraq continues to drain billions each year, and the dollar continues its slide to the junk heap of third-world currencies. Thank you very much. While you people are whining that McCain isn’t “conservative enough” you’ll be looking the wrong way when the election is over. Go ahead and put Mitt the Twitt up as president. Please. Pretty Please. With sugar on top. I’m sure everyone will be looking forward to voting for another theocrat to run the country further into the ground.
When you vote Rethuglicon, you vote against your own best interests. And the whining cats of the conservative right are living proof.

BTW AMERICA IS STILL THE GREATIST NATION ON EARTH! The Baptist, Methodist, Jewish Faith, Presbyterians, Catholics, Muslims and Atheist’s are protected in the Constitution and they have the right to vote! Paul… the problem with you not understanding the Constitution is that many of our laws are based on morals on Jud-ail Christian Values. I have not witnessed Religious people going around in America Forcing me and others to pray. The people of Christian faith wants common sense morals not to deteriorate from the rule of law. Not to force religion on people like some people want to insist.

The law of the land that these politicians have taken an oath to uphold is being mocked by most of them and the Mexican government. The statement that we need to allow them to come out of the dark is ludicrous. Everyday masses of illegals are breaking our laws constantly and laughing constantly in American citizens faces. Maybe a class action lawsuit should be filed against our government for not upholding our constitutional rights and failure to protect it’s citizens. We are on a path of destruction in believing these so called leaders. McCain was a past hero and as a veteran I thank him for that, but now I put him in the same class of Jane Fonda, as he tends to sell our country out to Mexico and forsakes the American Citizen. If the only thing that qualifies someone to become president is the service he gave to this country and suffering by the hands of the enemy by golly our list is endless. Aahhh! Ms. Kitty, my thoughts exactly!! I emailed all of the Republicans of this state via Congress.org and told them just what I thought. If they are going to endorse a Democratic purporting to be a Republican, then I shall pick a Democrat instead of taking a Democrat wanna-be.
McCain is too much like Bush for me with his focus on fear, fighting, and lack of respect for others. Yes, he’s a hero, or was. Time and too many years in politics has warped his values.
Yes, I would gladly vote for either Hillary or Obama instead of McCain - he’s a two-faced flip-flopper. At least Romney has grown and evolved… Oops! Isn’t that what McCain keeps saying about Romney??? Yes, blame someone else for the faults you’re trying to hide before people realize what you’re doing.
The Republican party needs to find a pair, or at least change the party logo from an elephant to a mouse.

ANYONE in the GOP who either votes for Hilary or stays home in November has just admitted voting for Osama bin Laden and supporting al Qaeda. Your actions to help elect a cut and run candidate proves you put ego over your nation. You would rather dishonor those in uniform by backing them out before completing their missions in Afghanistan and Iraq. You would rather let Osama win and drive us back behind our borders than drive them out and defeat Islamofascism. So by all means. Go ahead and stay home. Go ahead and turn on your nation and vote for Hillary. You do those in the military a disservice by supporting the voices completely counter to them. Let the blood of these honorable men and women be on your hands as well as more innocents attacked in the future by these thugs. Your hatred just gives Osama what he wants. Thank you.

Chambliss and Isakson are not to be trusted on illegal immigration, no matter how they voted last time.
It would serve some well to remember a few facts. Most republican senators opposed the last amnesty attempt but were joined by 15 democrats even though Bush was pushing it as hard as he could.
Most state laws targeting illegals are republican initiatives but not all. Azizona was a republican bill with bipartisan support and signed by a democrat governor. Colorado was a dem legislature that brought forth the bill to a republican governor. So, if you think this is strickly a partisan issue you aren’t paying attention.
I can’t tell you why so many support Juan McCain, you’d have to ask them. But I can tell you that immigration usually ranks 3rd or 4th on the priorities list.
I seriously wonder if it will make any difference what candidate is elected as far as illegal immigration is concerned. Of course I’d rather see someone willing to take a stand for this nation but Bush couldn’t get the last amnesty passed and I believe, considering the trend across this nation towards enforcement, that it won’t be any easier next time.
Currently, these states have passed bills targeting illegals and or those that employ them: Colorado, Arizona, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Georgia. States likely to pass similar bills this year include: Missouri, Mississippi, Kansas, Iowa, Wyoming, Utah, Virginia, and Nebraska. Maybe more, including Arkansas.
State enforcement is having more of an impact than federal efforts. In some areas, these laws are ahving a strong effect and many illegals are leaving. But, as we know, laws without enforcement are meaningless.

And, upon reviewing the republican field, find only one I could support —- only one with the stones to have served in the military —- only one who knows what it is to sacrifice for his country —- only one who has any credibility to address the national security issues.
I wish to heck you Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh nuts would crawl back under your rock. Your moralism and legalistic approach rings hollow under the scrutiny of your life choices and personal behaviors.

Umm, Theeny, I’m buddhist… and a Republican. Christianity has nothing to do with it. Commonsense does…
Giving up what you work hard for should be a choice, not a gov’t mandate (democratic healthcare).
Free speech should be upheld, not suppressed (democrats pushing uniforms in public schools and denying choice and the peaceful expression of protest).
And finally, upholding the laws of our country - our Constitution - and expecting others to follow it like millions of other immigrants have done (illegal immigration) is just reasonable.
Our country needs immigrants - those who respect our country, citizens, and laws. Those here illegally, don’t. Who would you rather have as a house guest? as a neighbor?
Send the illegals home, and to the back of the line, then give them the same opportunity as all immigrants that who wish to come here from all over the world. No matter the religious preference, no matter the pigment of one’s skin, it comes down to common sense.

I have one main question - How can anyone say they are conservative - making them “Pro-Life”, yet be willing to vote for a candidate who is pro-War???? How does that fall in line with Pro-Life? Or is pro-life just for those that are still in the womb? I guess in your eyes, once you’re old enough to hold a gun, you’re old enough to die and aren’t considered part of a pro-life situation!!!
At least when Democrats say they are Pro-Choice and Anti-War, they aren’t speaking like a bunch of hypocrits. Anyone that supports John McCain - who thinks Bush has done nothing wrong invading Iraq under false pretenses of weapons of mass destruction - allowing thousands of our young men and women to die - disgusts me!!! A vote for McCain is a vote for our continued involvement in Iraq for many more years to come! Is that what you want for our soldiers? If so, shame on you.

Sure McCain may have military service, but he is not a leader. He’ll be another one that is asleep at the wheel. Do you honestly get fired up and excited when he speaks?

Huckabee has a history of corruption and lack of ethics and is one of two republican presidential candidates on the list of IITOP TEN MOST CORRUPT POLITICIANS of 2007**(www.judicialwatch.org).

Illegal alien amnesty…driver’s licenses to illegals, lifetime of public benefits to illegal aliens and their progeny, open borders, social security for illegal aliens….if you agree then vote for MCCAIN, HIllary or OBAMA. Romney knows that Americans are tired of the status quo with illegal immigration and want it stopped. No more public benefits for illegal aliens, no more free passes for employers to exploit illegal alien workers, no more allowing criminal illegal aliens to victimize Americans, not one more. VOTE for ROMNEY….Si se puede! YA ES HORA.

This Hispanic American like the overwhelming majority of AMericans feels compassion for all the victims of illegal immigration, and crimes committed by illegal aliens. It is time that politicians talk to the real stakeholders on this issue rather than the special interests of the profiteers of illegal immigration and the ethno-supremacist illegal immigration advocacy groups. We the citizens of this country hire elected officials to represent us…not foreign nationals squatting illegally in our country.

Attention race-baiting former USMC Lt. Cols and bloggers: YES, I proudly founded The American Resitance Foundation with my own money in 2003 when I quit my business… Resisting Illegal immigration - French Resistance…get it? Oh nevermind.
I am not aware of a “Movement”. The site is still up, www.theamericanresistance.com if you La Raza/SPLC open borders goons will read it, you will see that it was shut down in 2005 because we ran out of money..( not a problem the open borders lobby has…)IT IS NO LONGER ACTIVE Our goal? Steady now - (again): TO FIGHT THE CRIME OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION…the horror!
It is easy to tell you thinkers get your points from Jerry and MALDEF/La Raza…you all make the same exact inaccurate statements. YES, I am proud to help FAIR fight illegal immigration I am also “associated with” AAA roadside asistance, American Legion, AARP, Cobb EMC, two gyms and others that I don’t have time to list.
This one wil likely make you feel faint: I am working to make English the official language of Georgia as a constitutional amendment. Pretty extreme si?
Retired USMC Lt Col: shame on you Colonel. Are the Latinos and black American supporters and on our board included in your mindless attack sir? Aren’t you going to ask me if I still beat my dog?
This is for you Lt Col. Americans are dying protecting our borders, more than half of Border Patrol Agents happen to be Hispanic. Ask yourself why you aren’t outraged over their deaths and abuse…are they racist too? Is the government of Mexico for deporting illegal aliens who are Latino?

John McCain can call himself anything he wants to, but to call himself a Repulican and/or a conservative is disingenuous, at best.

Hillary panders to La RAZA, has a former president of La RAZA as a campaign advisor….Raul Yzaguirre, a fanatical, left-wing, ethno-supremacist advocating for illegal alien amnesty…so what kind of “immigration advise” do you think good ‘ol RAZA RAul is giving Hillary….certainly none that benefit law-abiding citizens and respects the rule of law. McCain is even worse, he has a former MExican Cabinet minister from Vicente Fox’s administration as “Hispanic Outreach Coordinator”…Juan Hernandez is a self-described “Mexican first” open borders, pro-illegal alien dual citizen whose loyalty is to Mexico first…Since when does a Presidential candidate hire a foreign nation’s cabinet minister to advise/influence a U.S. presidential campaign. This traitorous act is enough to show that McCain is completely lying about his “about face” on amnesty and border security and is unfit to be President of the United States. Obama wants amnesty, driver’s licenses and is against making English the official language of the U.S. ROMNEY is the only candidate who is willing to listen to the overwhelming majority of American voters who are fed up with illegal immigration and the rhetoric from the ethno-supremacist illegal alien advocacy groups like La RAZA, MALDEF, LULAC, MECHA, MEXICA and the like. I for one do not have a problem with Mexican people coming to this country to better themselves and their families. I only DEMAND that they get in line, and come here the LEGAL way, get yourself a LEGIT SS Card and PAY YOUR DAM* TAXES. As for the Far-right, radical christian fundamentalists, no they do not MAKE you pray, but they do look down on those that do not buy into the myth of Jesus that is written about in that good work of fiction, known as the bible. And, before any of you say that I do not believe in a god, I will tell you that I believe in MANY of them. I feel like that the radical christian fundamentalists just need to let folks believe in who/what they want to believe. If the christians want to pray for me, that is fine, just DON’T pray to or at me and DON’T preach to me. As for Hillary, if you all want to see where this country is headed if she is elected, research some of the countries that are headed by Socialist governments, and the old U.S.S.R.
P.S. I use the term radical christian fundamentalist the same as most people use the term radical islamic fundamentalist.

He has a fresh outlook on taxes with the fair tax which is great, non-income tax payers can chip in. He recognizes how the government can hender striving for success, (corporate taxes, estate taxes, taxes on savings,…) once you’ve achieved success and would like to past that on to your loved ones the govt wants to tax you again (death tax). What we forget is that everyone living in this country is a descendant from someone who immigrated to this country, either freely or against their will. We get all wrapped up in issues, like immigration, abortion, gay marriage, flag burning, etc. and it distracts us from paying attention to real issues, like education, government spending, and corruption. We need to stop letting church leaders, Fox News, CNN, Entertainment Tonight, and advertisers tell us what to think and develop our own thoughts. We as voters should demand more from our elected officials. All I hear these days are buzz words and meaningless chatter. The saddest element is that I’m sure there are many more people in America today that know more about the contestants on American Idol then the Candidates for President of the United States. Why are we so easily distracted?

I don’t know how everybody else feels about it, but to me I think Hispanic people in this country, legally or illegally, made a huge public relations mistake with their recent demonstrations.
I don’t blame anybody in the world for wanting to come to the United States of America, as it is a truly wonderful place. But when the first thing you do when you set foot on American soil is illegal it is flat out wrong and I don’t care how many lala land left heads come out of the woodwork and start trying to give me sensitivity lessons.
I don’t need sensitivity lessons, in fact I don’t have anything against Mexicans, I just have something against criminals and anybody who comes into this country illegally is a criminal and if you don’t believe it try coming into America from a foreign country without a passport and see how far you get.
What disturbs me about the demonstrations is that it’s tantamount to saying, “I am going to come into your country even if it means breaking your laws and there’s nothing you can do about it.”
It’s an “in your face” action and speaking just for me I don’t like it one little bit and if there were a half dozen pairs of gonads in Washington bigger than English peas it wouldn’t be happening.
Where are you, you bunch of lilly livered, pantywaist, forked tongued, sorry excuses for defenders of The Constitution? Have you been drinking the water out of the Potomac again?
And even if you pass a bill on immigration it will probably be so pork laden and watered down that it won’t mean anything anyway. Besides, what good is another law going to do when you won’t enforce the ones on the books now?
And what ever happened to the polls guys? I thought you folks were the quintessential finger wetters. Well you sure ain’t paying any attention to the polls this time because somewhere around eighty percent of Americans want something done about this mess, and mess it is and getting bigger everyday.
This is no longer a problem, it is a dilemma and headed for being a tragedy. Do you honestly think that what happened in France with the Muslims can’t happen here when the businesses who hire these people finally run out of jobs and a few million disillusioned Hispanics take to the streets?
If you, Mr. President, Congressmen and Senators, knuckle under on this and refuse to do something meaningful it means that you care nothing for the kind of country your children and grandchildren will inherit.
But I guess that doesn’t matter as long as you get re-elected.
Shame on you.
Pray for our troops.
What do you think?
God Bless America

It is safe to say that Chambliss does not care that the majority of Georgians are against illegal immigration and the hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens here using up our precious resources. I will not be voting for Chambliss come November. I continue to hope someone will step forward to run against Chambliss in 2008.
Below, an email sent to Chambliss…apparently he did not take heed, or he would not have endorsed “opened borders” McCain. E-mail to Chambliss:
A U.S. Border Patrol agent, Luis Aguilar, has been brutally murdered by an illegal alien criminal… and who’s to blame? None other then our elected officials. The deceiving and lying leadership in Congress who —after promising to build a fence across our southern border— smirked and winked at each other and voted to gut the fence in order to keep the drug dealers and murderers pouring into this country. Make no mistake, your lack of resolve when it comes to securing the border sends an unmistakable message to illegal aliens and drug smugglers. Our Border Agents operate under a no pursuit law and if they use guns to protect themselves, they are hauled into a Kangaroo Court so the corrupt government of Mexico and their drug dealing, murdering, raping criminals will know WE HAVE NO INTENTION OF ENFORCING U.S. IMMIGRATION LAWS…
Until you the elected leaders get serious, law enforcement agents and innocent Americans WILL CONTINUE TO DIE NEEDLESSLY!
Is it that you do not care or is it that you do not realize that these illegal alien criminals have killed more American citizens than the war on terror?
Under your watch, America is quickly becoming a country of terror ruled by money hungry or power hungry self serving politicians catering to the Mexican drug cartel run government.
Please tell us what the citizens of America owe the corrupt government of Mexico that prevents you from carrying out your oath of office?

Good riddance to them—if they are against a candidate—that is a good reason to vote for that person. GO JOHN.
Of course, some of you did not receive an invitation to the events tonight—I did. Saxby and Johnny—always go for the winner. I am not wasting my vote on someone who can not take control of our beloved USA before it is too late.

McCain is at least 50% Democrat. We can not trust him. He voted not once but twice against the tax cuts. He was the co author of the Giant Amnesty Bill. He voted against freedom of speech. He votes most of the time with the Democrats. All of our liberal friends want him. He stated last week in a article by Paul Krugman in the NYT that he knew very little about economics. We owe him just like we owe every other soldier, more than we can ever give them, BUT WE DO NOT OWE HIM THE PRESIDENCY. We need MITT ROMNEY he will build a strong country, McCain is a hard head worst than Bush. He is like a time bomb. Romney can lead us out of this mess we are in. VOTE FOR MITT ROMNEY. I agree with Craig at 12:39. I’ll go with him to help pack the bags those who want to leave the country if the nominees are McCain and Hillary. Either one would be a much better President than Romney. Regardless, if your love for the country is so shallow that you want to leave based on who the Presidential nominees are then good riddance!

CIGAR ANYONE? There are four candidates left, and only one of them can ensure that the Democrats will not run both Congress and the White House. John McCain polls ahead or at worst even with both Democrats, while Romney polls woefully behind in EVERY poll, even Rasmussen. Can you imagine Romney debating Mrs Clinton on health care, when all experts point out that HILARYCARE is based largely on Romney’s model in Massachusetts!? So, if you have a burning desire to see Slick Willy padding around the Oval Office in his bath robe, a fresh cigar in his mouth, go ahead and vote for Romney and get ‘er done.

Ginger, you’re right on with McCain, I think he’ll be a stubborn old man as President and he is liberal (although he is claiming conservative stances now). Now, I wish you would lean towards Mike because Mitt is not as conservative as he appears now. I do like him more than McCain, but Huckabee has the wisdom and the fresh outlook we need for Nov. and beyond.

To the guy who spoke of meth heads, exactly where do you think the meth is coming from? Over the border from Mexico with the illegals, exactly. This whole country is getting totally screwed up because of our wonderful politicians, mostly “THE BUSH” He has killed more people than Sudam ever did, neither did the dirty work of using the gun but they caused the deaths just the same. Sudam paid for his crimes but Bush and his friends just keep getting richer. We really need a president who listens to the people who pay his wages and it certainly isnt the wealthy, its the tax payers. We need a change but I dont see it coming.

I have to make another point. McCain said in the last debate when asked about immigration. “I am a border Senator I know how to secure the borders”. MY GOD he has been in office for 25 years and has not even voted on one bill to secure it. Do we believe him? I THINK NOT. VOTE ROMNEY.

Scott, forget polls. Guilliani was being handed the republican nominee a few months back, in July the polls had McCain dead. These things change overnight and how accurate are they anyway? atman, Please learn more about Huckabee. He truly is not what he seems to be:
Many would question whether Mike Huckabee is a true conservative due to being pro-illegal aliens and pro-high taxation; I would question whether he is even a true CHRISTIAN! For an ex-Baptist preacher, the man sure has a potty mouth! Re: where to put the flag pole if anyone disagreed with his position on the Confederate flag, and also considering the risqué music/song lyrics used by Huckabee and his band, Capitol Offense. Imagine the pastor of your church singing H*y Tonk Woman or Devil With a Blue Dress (song lyrics would be offensive to many). www.irdial.com/blogdial/?p=909
It seems to me, this type of music would appeal more to liberals. Mike Huckabee and Hillary Clinton both are having an MTV event today; perhaps Huckabee and his band will find a “clean” song or two to perform during the event?
Huckabee has a history of corruption and lack of ethics and is one of two republican presidential candidates on the list of TOP TEN MOST CORRUPT POLITICIANS of 2007 http://www.judicialwatch.org .
His personality is described at Wikipedia as petty, thin-skinned, self-righteous, and somewhat vindictive http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Huckabee .
I truly believe Mike Huckabee is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I read somewhere that he wants to be the opening act for a Led Zeppelin concert.
Just imagine the confederate flag flap being played over and over and over on the Democrat’s TV ads.

No doubt well-meaning, “patriotic” Roman Catholic Germans claimed early on the pope’s concordats with Hitler weren’t approved by “90%” of Germany’s Roman Catholics when confronted by apprehensive Lutherans or Jews, but the Holocaust was committed by them, under Rome’s auspices anyway.
Same goes for illegal immigration now being approved by the Roman Catholic-controlled Congress, Supreme Court and White House. Planned out for taking over the U.S. and published as “The National Pastoral Plan for Hispanic Ministry,” for all to read, whether papist or American Patriot, the plan is succeeding whether or not you endorse it in any way other than your allowing yourself to be regarded as a Roman Catholic apologist.

Scribe said: In the republican party we are allowed to have disagreements. But in the end we will all pull the same way on the same rope
Well said, scribe. Unfortunately, as you argue your differences on the tree of ideology you are just tightening the noose around your collective necks. After reading a fair number of posts by so-called ‘compassionate conservatives’ it appears there are two major bones of contention. One is running all the ‘wet backs’ out of the country and sealing the boarder to keep us safe from all the terrorists that are now flooding into the country. What a bunch of paranoids. First, the 9/11 terrorists entered the country legally on student visas over two years before the attacks. They didn’t just sneak across the boarder from Mexico or Canada. Second, the vast majority (say 95%) are here to make a better life for their families in Mexico. They go about their lives under the radar so as not to draw attention to themselves. Third, so what if their culture changes the US a little? The US has survived the Irish, the Italian, the Jewish, and the Vietnamese immigrations with no ill effects. You people are just a bunch of bigots and Hispanics are today’s easy target. When your views are the same as the KKK, white supremacists, neo-Nazis, and skinheads, you need to change your views.
The other issue is that Mitt the Twitt is a ‘business man’ and will heal the economy. Yeah. Right. Being a business man means nothing in terms of running the country. In business you do things to make a profit. In running a country, you do things to make peoples lives easier. Big difference. You really don’t want someone with a profit motive running the country, but it makes for a good sound bite that all the suckers will swallow. Hook, line, and sinker.
When you vote Rethuglicon, you vote against your own best interests. And scribe is living proof.

I am a Republican and a Christian…—I will vote this Tuesday for the person who I think can win the election. That man is McCain, and I hope Huckabee is his VP choice. I don’t trust Romney for several reasons…..Massachusetts, and he is a Mormon…I will stop short of calling it a cult, but, they believe Christ has come again once and spoke to Joseph Smith, and oh yeah, he’s coming back to Missouri…..and not to mention some of their other beliefs like we will all be gods…..nope, can’t go for Mitt or a Jehovah’s Witness. So, we are left with a guy who leans toward the middle in McCain who might win. I can’t believe the Americans who say that they would stay home if McCain wins and let the Muslim win…or the lesbian….wow! Remember, Presidents are most important for matters of National Defense and the Judges they appoint…they don’t make law; that is Congress’s job….

The 2 ga senators are a disgrace to everyone in the state, they suckle up to the oil companies, while we get reamed, push for illegals, love that 40% of IRS audits are on people making less than 50 thou a year, refuse to simplify the tax code, insist on giving foreigners extra cheap loans and tax breaks to open businesses. Carry on this mantra of the boogie man fear tactics used to take away our rights, while at the same time refusing to acknowledge that 911 was partly their fault for not holding the security agencies accountable. McCain is just more Bush, As much as I hate to vote Republican Romney is by far the best choice this time around.

The chatter from the various factions is interesting and amusing. One one side we’ve got “gay liberals” and on the other side we have the Baptist Taliban. But the reality in our two party system is that each faction must compromise on election day or stay-home. Unfortunately, the compromise for fiscal conservatives is far too great at this point in history. However, staying home is dereliction of duty IMO.
I never thought I would say that it is time to vote for a Democrat, but conservatives and Republicans NOW is that time. The Republican party has strayed too far from conservative principles to deserve any votes. Instead, the strategy should be to give Democrats an overwhelming majority of the seats in congress and the Presidency. They will self-destruct just like we did and open the doors for true conservatives to take back seats.

Turning the cheek over and over while picking up our national pride as we sulk off to the next humiliation? The list goes on and on. Imagine all that has been gained gone in one fell swoop… With no check and balance in Congress, the Democrats would quickly eliminate tax cuts, put more “voters” on the taxpayer dole, and weaken America’s sovereignty as we bow at the altar of the United Nations. Well it seems that Chambliss has grown tired of being a Senator and it is time to help him retire. He and Isakson are more interested in the welfare of invaders who violate US law, than in the welfare of legal taxpaying citizens. And both senators enjoy insulting citizens with foul accusations and name calling rather than being pro US law.
These 2, who are being well paid by legal citizens, claim to be very concerned about the War on Terror. Then why do they support McCain, a man who believes in leaving our borders open for anyone to just stroll through?
If you are concerned about a home burglary, don’t you close and lock your doors and windows? Chambliss and Isakson do not seem to have that much basic sense.
There are well documented reports from Homeland Security of mid-east groups who have come across our US/Mex and US/Canada borders illegally. Some have been caught. That means some have not been caught and are still in the US.
IF you care about the War on Terror then you should be enraged that there are terrorist groups within the US while senators Chambliss and Isakson support a person like McCain who wants that border kept wide open. And who fought FOR full amnesty for the 20 to 30 million illegals already in our country.
McCain is NOT a republican or even a loyal US citizen. He promotes bills and treaties that badly damage all American citizens. In fact, McCain himself is a weapon of mass destruction for the legal citizens of the USA.
Looks like Chambliss and Isakson have joined McCain in the WMD club. this text will be bolded Its time to get them out of the Senate and get two genuine Americans in their places.
Speaking personally, I have been a Republican for the last 35 years, but I will vote for Ron Paul, or my dog, or a Dem before I would vote for an Open Borders Amnesty lover like McCain or Chambliss in 2008.

I have no need to be anti- any other country to be pro United States of America.
I have no need to be anti- any other people to be pro American.
I have no need to be anti-anything to be for the rule of law and to expect that laws will be enforced fairly, impartially and without prejudice as they were written by Congress and signed into law by a President.
If our immigration laws had been and were being enforced by INS with the same diligence and dedication as that with which the IRS enforces tax laws would we even be talking about this?

To Voice of Reason, I hear you BUT. While we do have some degree of checks and balances now, it’s not what it should be. Just look at what happened when the Republicans had control of all both houses. They squandered an opportunity to make real progress and instead acted just like we expect Democrats to act. Just last week Bush was pushing this insane stimulus package which gives my tax dollars to people who didn’t even pay taxes. Things won’t be any better under McCain whether he has a Democrat or Republican controlled congress. Let’s suck it up and bite the bullet and let the emotion-driven Democrats scare the pants off the American public. I don’t agree with several of the issues that McCain has put forward, but I admire that he’s the only one of the republican candidates that actually tries to make things happen. Both of the parties run their campaigns on the promises they will reach out to the other side to put legislation on the books. But they never do, because they would have nothing to run on in the next campaign. In fact, the two biggest issues in the last 15 years that were actually decided, were made law by the opposite parties. Welfare reform was a huge issue in the republican campaign for many years, but to shut the republicans up, the democrats passed welfare reform in the mid 90’s. Then the repblicans turned the tables with medicare reform a few years ago. THIS IS HOW WASHINGTON WORKS, PEOPLE! THEY DID THIS SO THE OTHER PARTIES WOULD NOT HAVE THIS AS A CAMPAIGN ISSUE! When I cast my vote this year, it will be for a politician who says he will try to reform things, and actually will try to do so. I probably won’t agree with him on several issues, such as amnesty, but Reagan granted amnesty in ‘86, and I think he was the greatest president of my lifetime. And for all you McCain-Finegold bashers, McCain is winning while following his bill, while Romney is losing despite putting $40 million of his own money into his attempt. One final question….. How could you vote for someone on the economic issue like Romney who tries to parlay $40 million of his own money into a salary of $400,000 yearly for 4 years, a net loss of $38.4 million? Yea, I want him running our economy!

McCain IS a hero
Gunny, McCain was strung up by his broken arms for 2 years each night. When the Cong found out his father was the CINC of the Pacific, they offered McCain his release. If you are military you know the code:
first in / first out. last in / last out.
So McCain refused special treatment. Can YOU say you would have done this after being tortured?
McCain WAS a hero unlike W and Cheney who dodged the draft.
Cheney took 7 deferments and said he had “other things to do” other than defend his country.
W used daddy’s connections to hide out in the national guard and then went awol when they started drug testing.

Take note folks. BOTH Senators endorsed McCain in Maine and campaigned aggressively for him. McCain lost the caucus yesterday by 30 points and got 2 delegates to Romney’s 18. Romney got 1 less than McCain got in South Carolina. Also, for a guy that has an admitted F in economics, how does he propose to fianace a 100 year presence in Iraq? Borrow from the Chinese ?

The demise of the Republican Party That’s it for the Repubs, folks. True conservatives who despise the little RINO vermin McCain will consider this the last straw. It’s time for someone like Newt to create a new party that is truly devoted to conservative principles, instead of just giving them lip service, as the Repubs have done the last 15 years or so.
I’ll cast no vote for President if McCain is the only choice. And I’ll never never NEVER again vote for Chambliss and Isakson. Thanks for stabbing us conservatives in the back, you jerks.

Reagan granted amnesty to 3 million illegals. We now have 12-15 million. Unchecked we will have as many illegals as the national deficit and who will want to be a ” LEGAL.” Lot of extra cost and paperwork. As to Romney’s money, what an incredible canard. A guy makes alot of dough in the American system and wants to give some of it back. How novel. Better to spend your own money than the usual route of borrowing from PACS with IOU’s. Take a look at McCain’s borrowing on the web and it will show you where the ” smart” money is coming from in the last month. Not from McCain, that’s for sure. So, what are the IOU’s ? They don’t give money for free.

You were told 20 years ago that America will be Brown by 2025. Wouldn’t it be better to just accept the fact and join with Mexico while we are still on friendly terms? McCain will help us to be one country with Mexico while doing it peacefully. Remember we are here and reproducing in numbers that you have no choice but to accept us. Your leaders know this. It is the racist nativists who will cause you the pain.

I OK securing the border, now. Sending back any illegals who have committed crimes. But, the ones that here need to get legal and start paying taxes, and emergency room visits, etc… Huckabee says he’ll build a fence in 18 months after election, and Huckabee will do the right thing on immigration. Why the neocons hate McCain:
He’s not mega millionaire new money and thus can’t & doesn’t donate to their causes.
He’s from an old (very old) military background (descended from two Admirals) with royal lineage back in Scotland. IE, the real thing insofar as good blood.
Most important, the neo cons can’t conrol him, he actually thinks for himself (something Bush can’t or doesn’t do). McCain is a threat to people like Coulter and Limbaugh, they’d be outa work with him as president. Hell, that’s reason enough to vote for the man!

Without the Roman Catholics on the Supreme Court unconstitutionally putting the son of JFK’s assassin into the White House to commit 9-11 a lot of things would be different.
But they did and the Constitution that makes The People sovereign and to which we who serve the Nation take the Oath has been shredded by a draft-dodging closet-queen who’s been quoted saying “the Constitution’s just a g.d. piece of paper.”
A Constitutional Law professor and honorable, noble true senator, who voted against traitor-pervert Bush’s now proven false war, is the prescription the People’s Physician, the Conscience of the Electorate, requires: Barack Obama, a good, decent legitimate husband and father with the Vision bequeathed to all Americans by the foundational documents and the Founders.
Additionally, as we come together as the motivated, righteously guided People of Georgia on Tuesday to right the wrongs so plainly before us and our threatened posterity by making Barack Obama the candidate for all patriotic Americans to support let us concentrate our support behind one man to help us remove Bush’s fellow Vietnam draft-dodger/lapdog Saxby Chambliss, as well, by voting for Dale Cardwell.
His smokestack stunt is overcome by his vocal support for the man we need to make Elect - Barack Obama.
I ask all Georgians and Atlantans of conscience to keep Senator Obama and America in your thoughts and prayers for the treasonous Fifth Column faction, in service to that which America’s Founder recognized as the Anti-Christ and fascist plutocracy, now assailing the eighty percent Middle Class, is alive and evil and won’t disappear without a fight won only by grace and guts.
We can do it and it must be done.
May G-d bless America once more. Annuit Coeptis

Illegal immigration is an ECONOMIC issue!
Public educations for children of illegal immigrants cost at least $30 BILLION/YEAR!
According to a USATODAY article last week, the state of Texas spent $1.3 BILLION for healthcare expense due to illegal aliens. Add in the other states for a total of at least another $30 BILLION/YEAR!
Remittances to home countries run $25 BILLION/YEAR (not an estimate)! It is the second largest source of income to Mexico after OIL!
Add up the costs for courts, incarceration, uninsured motorists insurance…and many others for at least another $30 BILLION/YEAR.
The TOTAL COST OF ILLEGAL EACH YEAR IS AT LEAST $135 BILLION!
That is the cost of the IRAQ WAR and it will continue for decades to come with CHAIN MIGRATION that will allows decades of low skilled immigrants into our country.
Is this what US citizens really want???
McCain or the Democrats will see that this happens in the next four years.

If a candidate has upset the extremes of both parties, they’re probably doing something right.
The term “true conservative” has been hijacked by a vocal wing of the Republican party, and is as malleable as play-doh. Unfortunately, that same wing blindly embraced the failed Presidency of Bush, and now will pay the price for their dedication to social conservatism above good governance.
It’s funny, because McCain acts a lot like the real Reagan, but doesn’t fit the “idea” of Reagan created as a rallying cry of these “true” conservatives.

The US can not absorb all the poor people in countries outside of the US!
For those who only want to allow the Hispanics that have ILLEGALLY crossed our southern border into the US to stay are really adopting a RACIST position.
US immigration laws attempt to let in legal immigrants from ALL NATIONALITES. Isn’t that a fair approach to immigration? How about all the immigrants that are waiting in their home countries for lawful entry to the US?
Regardless, the US taxpayer can not afford the cost of illegal immigration. $30 Billion dollars are spent on public educations alone (3 million students X $10,000/student year).
You want to find a RABID illegal immigration opponent? Go ask the opinion of a legal African (or any other region or country) immigrant that waited years and spent much $ to get here legally and has family back home finishing their wait to come here.
You defenders of the illegal immigrant might want to keep your opinions to yourself in their presence, or you might want to get ready to possibly physically defend yourself. I’ve had conversations with a few from the back seat of cab, and they got VERY RILED UP just talking about it as I completely agreed with them 100%.
It’s unfair to those people that have done the right thing and come here legally. What these people are doing is illegal.
It has nothing to do with hate. I’m sure many of them are perfectly pleasant people. It doesn’t matter. We HAVE TO enforce our laws.

All this angst over Chamblis and Isakson’s endorsement of Mccain is troubling to me. Talk radio and their minions have a chicken little atmosphere. Perhaps the best thing these old farts can do for their family and the nation at large is take the old eskimo way out and float off to the sunset. What a bunch of whiners

It is an illusion that illegal aliens are CHEAP LABOR.
Consider a lettuce picker that picks about 500 heads of lettuce per hour (makes the math a bit easier). That about 8 heads of lettuce a minute.
The cost of labor to pick a head of lettuce at $5.00/hr is ONE PENNY! The cost of labor to pick a head of lettuce at $20.00/hr is FOUR CENTS!
I would rather pay a higher wage to US citizens to pick that lettuce (or let it be shipped in from another country) than PAY $10,000/year for a public education for a child of an illegal alien!
My son’s teacher has to spend more time with non-English speaking students SO MY SON GET AN INFERIOR EDUCATION!
We have had families move out of our subdivision because the schools are up to 30% NON-ENGLISH SPEAKING STUDENTS!
Is this what US citizens want???

In 1994 Republicans were swept into Congress with a conservative agenda - one of which was to abolish the Department of Education. Here 14 years later, a Republican candidate for the White House, Mitt Romney, wishes to not only protect No Child Left Behind and the Department of Education, but build it up further. In one of the leading conservative issues the GOP took up in 1994, Mitt Romney completely buries it and builds up the exact opposite of that principle. Romney wants greater federal control of education of our children. He wants to add to the Kennedy-Bush education plan, NCLB, and inject the DC mentality over education even further. This is no conservative act.

John McCain is a superb liar. You can tell when he’s lying, his lips are moving. I am a lifelong Republican, I used to be a supporter of our two turncoat Senators, just call me Democrat from this point forward. It is much more honorable to elect people who tell you they are going to screw you than to elect those who screw you and lie about it.
This is one current Republican that would never, under any circumstances, vote for John McCain. I’m a disabled Vietnam Vet, conservative in everything I believe in, and a Christian above all else. McCain is worse than John Kerry, he should be running for the Democratic nomination.

You’d rather hand our nation over to terrorists and slap every member of the military in the face with cut and run. Just as the Dems do, you cut and run when your country needs you. You will put Hillary in the White House to give us surrender in this fight and turn the Supreme Court back over to the liberals. Folks. There you have it. We have cut and run Republicans. So Mc cain will secure the borders? Says he’s heard “the people and he knows how to do the job!.” Oh really? Then why after 20 years has he not secured the Arizona border? How many millions of illegal aliens have entered America along with terrorists, according to the FBI,in the past 20 years? Apparently he only hears what he wants to hear because the American people want more than secure borders.
He has no intention of securing our borders or the nation! Seems politicians find something attractive about blood red hands. He will do just as Bush. He will take us into wars around the world under the guise he is fighting to make America safer while leaving the front and back door to America wide open. What did he say? We could be fighting these wars for 100 years, whatever it takes! Now there’s a leader for ya.
I’m sure the Clinton camp will dig up Mc Cain’s Mafia ties. Maybe too his wife’s drug addiction and the fact she stole drugs from her own charity organization according to an employee there. Then there’s his ex wife who waited faithfully for his return from war. She was in a serious accident and suffered very serious injury. But instead of Mc Cain “sticking it out ” with her as she did for him, he had an affair and left her for Cindy. You know the rest. Man of character? Not from this view!
I’m sure Mc Cain will do the same to the Clintons. Maybe he’ll bring up the sale of military secrets to Russia that now threaten America. He can’t bring up Clintons many affairs for obvious reasons. But maybe he could mention the many dead bodies that showed up all around the Clintons. How many were there, 40 something? Yep looks like everything is running as normal in Washington!
Isakson and Chambliss will get what they deserve.
Next thing to go is our guns so we can’t even defend ourselves. Of course the enemy within America will get to keep theirs. And keep a close eye on your sons and daughters. Mc Cain will have to draft them into the military to fight all those wars for the next 100 years. Nice choice America!

“A man is best known by his enemies.” - Chinese proverb
This article, the parallel Anne Coulter statement that she’ll vote for Hillary if MCain wins the nomination, and (especially) the ugly anger shown in this AJC comment section shows me that John McCain promises to remove the iron-fisted control conservatives have on the Republican party.

A VOTE FOR MCCAIN IS A VOTE FOR AMNESTY! A good American would not want to give any illegal alien amnesty, unless they new everything possible about him or her. We don’t even know how many are here, research grops say 12 to 20 million, it seems like we have 10,000 of them in this little town of 12,000. They are now within a 1/4 mile or so of our wealthiest neighborhoods, the rich can now hear their party music at 3:00AM. The rich around here are starting to want the same thing as the middle class and that is to remove ALL illegals, GRANDMAWS, GRANDPAWS and all. After all hispanics have a couple of kids while in their teens and the grandparents are the age some Americans wait to reach, for reasons of finacial security, before they have children of their own. After all if you are legal and earn under 35,000 a year and have two kids you pay NO INCOME TAX, get a 4,500 earned income tax refund can get medicaid and good old food stamps. Illegals are 10 to 1 in my once nice neighborhood, now it looks like a third world neighborhood that you see on the National Geographic Chanel. Believe me, you do not want this, but if you do, vote McCain.

Of John McCain - “He has moved in the right direction strongly and forcefully on taxes,” said Grover Norquist. “I have no residual issue with John McCain,” Tony Perkins said. Richard Land, an official of the Southern Baptist Convention and a longtime critic of Mr. McCain, agreed, saying, “He is strongly pro-life.”
“When I hear Rush Limbaugh say that a McCain nomination would destroy the Republican Party,” Dr. Land added, “what I want to say to Rush is, ‘You need to get out of the studio more and talk to real people.’”

Amerixico - I cannot be any clearer for you….WHERE DOES MCCAIN SAY HE IS FOR OPEN BORDERS? You just cannot find it can you? You are on here repeating lies about the record. If you took the time to actually read the bill, instead of being spoon-fed garbage by talk radio, you’d see the bill NEVER called for open borders. But by all means, keep spreading a lie. And you also realize that McCain’s bill requires MUCH more than your “deport them back” method right? All you want to do is slap them on the wrist and send them on a free scenic ride back to Mexico only to allow them to come back. YOU are for amnesty. YOU won’t even punish these people for breaking the law. YOU only call for bussing them back. WOW! Boy THAT is tough stuff. Oh please don’t punish me like that. Please don’t give me a free trip home which is what I do anyway…Get real people. Stop being spoon fed lies. Read the bill for yourself.

As we freely write on blogs radical leftest groups such as LaRaza & MALDF want to brand our dissent as ‘Hate speach”. Millions of illegals take jobs and depress wages for everybody. “WE” pay for their health care and education. Go to any DFCS or State health clinic and see it. Why do you think PEACH CARE went broke. McCain has been in Congress for 26 years, the last 22 as Senator. The Arizona border has been a sieve during that entire time. More illegals cross the border through Arizona than anywhere else. McCain not only has turned a blind eye to securing the border, he wants to make those that invaded citizens of the United States. Arizona senator John McCain is not only unfit for command of any sort, he certainly must not be elected President!

Cuz - it’s the “cut and run” faction of the GOP. They’d rather dishonor those who have fought and died for this country. They’d rather mock those who died at the WTC and give in to Osama and other terrorists all because of some schoolyard hatred of McCain. It’s all about hate. Too bad none of these hate filled people are Christians.

Mr. King: After reading most of the posted comments here, I’d say that many of these people are nutcases. Some are very vindictive, very hateful. Personally, I salute you and all you’ve done as well as other patriotic Americans. This is and will continue to be a very difficult fight to get what’s best for us and this country. There are so many against us who will do virtually anything to bring us and our country down. Thanks for all you do. You’re a great American.

Jack, you can believe anything you want about McCain being a hero, but I’ll state it again, a POW is not a hero, just an unlucky s.o.b. I feel for them, but they’re no hero. Go read a few of the citations for gallantry and bravery of those that received the CMOH, Navy Cross, Silver Star, etc. Then tell us if McCain’s a hero.

McCain advisor is former Mexico cabinet member under Vicente Fox:
McCain’s “Hispanic Outreach Director”, Juan Hernandez, is the same guy who was a close advisor to Mexico’s President Vicente Fox! Hernandez headed up a Mexican bureaucracy called the “Presidential Office for Mexicans Abroad.” It was designed to allow Hernandez to travel across the country, meddling with local, state, and federal immigration enforcement on behalf of millions of illegal aliens in America. Prior to aligning with the campaign staff, Hernandez has been serving in McCain’s Reform Institute as a Senior Fellow of the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Initiative.
Hernandez has worked for years lobbying U.S. governors to issue drivers’ licenses to illegal aliens living in their respective states. While in his official role for the Mexican government, he pressured Western Union to lower or drop altogether their fees for wire transfers for illegal aliens sending money back home to Mexico.
Hernandez is an ardent supporter of the re-conquest by Mexico of the American Southwest, and hosted lectures on the subject at the Center for U.S.-Mexico Studies in Dallas which he founded in 1995. He once told Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-CO) that the North American Southwest “is not two countries, it’s just a region.”
U.S. born dual citizen Juan Hernandez is notorious for having said of Mexican Americans on Nightline on June 7, 2001, “I want the third generation, the seventh generation, I want them all to think Mexico first.”
Does John McCain agree that they should always “think Mexico first?” With Hernandez as his “Hispanic Outreach Director”, who began serving last year, I don’t think there is any question. Is there any reason that anyone should think open borders fanatic Dr. Hernandez wants President McCain to secure the border? Is there any reason that anyone should trust a man to secure the border if he is getting his “Hispanic Outreach” advice from Dr. Juan Hernandez? Is there any reason why anyone should not think that John McCain is committed to giving amnesty to the 20 million illegal aliens in America?
Hernandez also said to the Associated Press in 2001, “I never knew the border as a limitation. I’d be delighted if all of us could come and go between these two marvelous countries.”
Two poignant quotes below are from Hernandez’s 2007 (propaganda) book, “The New American Pioneers”:
“There are twenty million people, like myself, who have one foot in Mexico and one foot in the United States, and we’re very proud of it.”
“We must not only have a free flow of goods and services, but also start working for a free flow of people.”
Be aware John McCain supporters. One of his closest advisors is a former Mexico cabinet member. As well as a globalist, open borders, illegal alien advocate, amnesty demanding dual citizen with his allegiance given to Mexico.

If you had to support your kids you wouldn’t be popping them out like rabbits. You do so only because hard working Americans have to support them. You have no honor or dignity. You have no character. It is quite troubling that our two Georgia Senators have endorsed John McCain. If America’s war on terror is really important to them, they should honor their oaths and secure our borders. It would have been best if they had remained neutral on this Presidential race. Senator McCain’s “straight talk express” has taken some documented “twists and turns” along the way.
He does NOT represent America’s conservatives.

Groups cooperating with the Roman Catholic Church’s stratagem promoting illegal immigration by Latin American Roman Catholic Hispanics are not “left-wing.” The “right-wing” is made up of those aligning themselves with monarchy and papacy - the Old Sectarian Order supplanted by the “left’s” New Secular Order…enshrined in the Motto bequeathed by the Founders: *Novus Ordo Seclorem.”
Theocrat sectarians, regardless of denomination, are allied with papists and supporters of fascist plutocracy. The Bushes and the Clintons represent the new “monarchy” of Rockefeller and Rome’s treasonous Fifth Column, which Bush called his “base.”

It is not bigoted to want our immigration laws followed. It is unfair to expect some to follow our immigration laws and give some a free pass on following it.
There are many people in India, Pakistan, Africa that would love to come to our country but can’t because they are not just able to sneak over our borders like the illegals have… It is bigoted to expect some to follow our laws and some not to.
The election is not over yet. The majority of people here oppose amnesty and were able to stop it even though the Senate, Whitehouse and Chamber of Commerce supported it.

Illegal Immigration is the #1 issue facing this country, even over the war on terror and the economy. The only reason I might consider voting for Hillary is that when she proposes amnesty, ther may be a Republican backlash in Congress. If McCain proposes is, the Republicans will go for it in a minute. Better to have congress view the Pres. as an enemy on the issue rather than an ally.

Hey Atman, I would not vote for Mike Huckabee and I mean you no disrespect. Most of us have had our fill of “compassionate conservatism.” A new phrase for liberal. And Mike Huckabee is a flip flopper too on the most important issue of our time-illegal immigration. And as far as his theology is concerned I am not in complete agreement with that either. While I am deeply religious I am a firm believer in the separation of church and state. I am not voting for a pastor. I see flaws in Gov Romney, don’t agree with some of the things he speaks about, but it would be a great change of pace to have someone articulate a position as well as not be a career politician. PLEASE VOTE FOR ROMNEY!!!
We must make sure that our children and grandchildren will have opportunities and a future in our country.
If 20 million illegals—-plus millions more through chain migration—-are given amnesty…..What is going to be left for US citizens and our children/grandchildren??
The first thing that McCain, Clinton, or Obama will do if they are elected, is push for amnesty!!
Don’t fall for the lies of McCain!! If he truly was concerned about the problems that illegals have caused—-Arizona would not be in the bad situation that it is now.
Also, if you vote for Huckabee or Paul—-who have NO CHANCE of winning—-you are actually voting for McCain!!
Huckabee knows that he does not have a chance at winning—-he is staying in the race so that he can help McCain to win—-and possibly be able to get the VP position. Hmmmmm——what happened to Huckabee wanting to stop illegals??? McCain is going to do NOTHING to stop illegals.
For those who are trying to bring religion into the issues regarding illegals…….The illegals are not refugees. There are currently millions of people throughout the world—-in WORSE countries than where the majority of illegals came from——who have been waiting in line trying to come into the US through the proper, legal process. Why aren’t you concerned about these people——why should the illegals be able to take the place of these people throughout the world???
We cannot take in the world. Therefore, illegals are being rewarded for breaking our laws—-while people throughout the world who have been trying to come here through the proper, legal process are sent to the back of the line. Some of these people waiting to come here are in countries a LOT WORSE than where the majority of illegals are coming from.
AGAIN, PLEASE VOTE FOR ROMNEY!!! YOUR FUTURE AND THE FUTURES OF YOUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN DEPEND ON IT!!

For those of you foolish enough to still be supporting and promoting Huckabee……..
Did you know that his “Fair Tax”—also known as the “consumption tax”—-means a 23% tax on ALL purchases (on top of the state sales tax). This means—-if you buy a house, car, groceries, clothes, etc.—-you are paying 23% tax on top of the state sales tax??
Are you people crazy?? Do you know that this will destroy the middle class!! Do you know that you will be destroying your own children and grandchildren with this tax??
All people pay this 23% tax. If you are below a certain income—you can then apply for a refund on a monthly basis and wait for the refund to be returned to you. So, you will be continually waiting for the “check in the mail” in order to get some of your money back.
How can anyone possibly think that this is better?? How can anyone want to intentionally destroy the middle class—-including their own children and grandchildren—-who will not be able to survive while waiting for the “check in the mail”.
Huckabee is a snake oil salesman—and he uses religion to get away with lies and corruption. Do research on his lies, theft and corruption while he was governor of Arkansas. He even lied that he has a theology degree!!
Romney won a larger percentage of the evangelical vote in Nevada, Michigan and South Carolina——as those citizens were aware of the “real” Huckabee!!!

I believe that all of us would love to be able to just pay the state sales tax on purchases and not have to pay state and federal income taxes—-just like the illegals get to do!!!

Remember when McCain was speaking in Iowa 2 months ago and someone asked him what we should do about Iran. McCain sang…..”bomb bomb bomb—bomb bomb Iran” (Barbara Ann, Beach Boys).
Granted, no matter who gets elected we may still end up in a military confrontation with Iran—-but McCain will GUARANTEE that the military confrontation takes place!!

BOTH claim they are fiscal conservatives, yet they have never seen a spending bill they didn’t like.
BOTH claim they are tough on illegals, yet they endorse a pro amnesty candidate.
Isakson claims to be pro family values, except the worst kept secret in Georgia and DC is that two of his staffers engaged in an affair that broke up their marriages, and he didn’t do anything to get rid of them.
Chambliss is behind the Farm Bill, the biggest spending subsidy in history.
And you’re surprised they endorse someone who was almost on the ticket with John Kerry?

Thanks Pam. I’m from CA too. It’s sort of like being on the front lines trying to save a once beautiful and fantastic State from going down a third world toilet.
For those who still pass the propaganda the 9-11 terrorists didn’t come across the border therefore leave our borders open, the FBI seems to think otherwise. Just last week a bunch of illegals were pulled over on I-20. Two of the men were from the Middle East, one from Pakistan. They came across the Mexico border! According to the government, if one illegal gets caught, 5 got in. So please tell me how in the hell anyone could stand on the argument that terrorists don’t come across our borders? If you think we are not in serious trouble, read this article. That’s if you can understand enough English to get through it. Even if you are American, that’s doubtful now since we dumbed down our schools so third world invaders can be accommodated.
Islamist ‘Trojan horse’ in Pentagon, say experts http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=59995
And for those who claim illegals pay taxes every time they buy something, yes that’s true. Most likely they buy it with money they DIDN’T PAY TAXES ON UNLIKE YOU AND ME! And for the argument they pay property taxes via rent, yes that’s true. And the landlord pays the same tax if he has 2 renters or 50 in the same apartment. Yet those 50 illegals will use services way beyond any tax they may have contributed! Even if an illegal owns his own home, same thing! Except he owns it illegally! If you are not brighter than light bulb maybe you shouldn’t post.

Let us look at McCain’s conservative credentials: -IMMIGRATION: he wrote the bill granting amnesty to illegal immigrants (co-sponsored by Ted Kennedy) -SOCIAL SECURITY: he voted to give your social security money to illegal immigrants -TAXES: he voted against the Bush tax cuts multiple times (he has since flip-flopped and has campaigned as a lifelong tax-cutter) -RHETORIC: he routinely engages in Democratic class warfare against big companies in America, particularly the “evil” drug companies who research cures to debilitating diseases for a profit -ECONOMY: as recently as December 2007 he admitted “he does not know the economy very well” and needed to get better at it -1ST AMENDMENT: he wrote the McCain-Feingold campaign finance bill that was declared to be an unconstitutional infringement of the 1st Amendment (co-sponsored by ultra-liberal Democrat Russ Feingold) -2ND AMENDMENT: he was called the “worst 2nd amendment candidate” by the president of the NRA -ENERGY TAX: wrote a bill (co-sponsored by his buddy Lieberman) imposing a massive tax on energy which, according to the Department of Energy, would drastically raise the price of gasoline and put 300,000 Americans out of work -GLOBAL WARMING: supports radical global warming legislation which involved him voting with every Democrat; think only America is responsible to take action, not other superpowers -JUDGES: he joined forces with Democrats (Gang of 14) to block the Senate Republican’s attempt to confirm conservative, strict constructionist judges; also said Alito was too conservative for his liking -WAR ON TERROR: fought with Hillary Clinton to demand that terrorists be given a full American trial -GAY MARRIAGE: he joined liberals to fight against a federal marriage amendment supporting the institution of traditional marriage -CHRISTIANS: campaigning in 2000, he famously described Christian leaders as “agents of intolerance” -PRO-LIFE: he filed an amicus brief against pro-life advocates in Wisconsin -BI-PARTISANSHIP: he met with leading Democrats in 2004 to discuss the possibility of being John Kerry’s Vice-President; publicly considered leaving the Republican Party in 2001 after he lost the primary -PROFESSIONAL ETHICS: ringleader of the infamous Keating 5 ethical scandal which cost US tax payers $160 billion (Google it) -PERSONAL ETHICS: McCain cheated on his first wife after she had a severe accident that left her partially disabled. He then divorced her and married his multi-millionaire mistress, whose daddy bought McCain a spot in the Congress

This is freedom? This is Democracy? This could be your next President! Be sure to read the comments. The woman asking the question at the end is head of Mothers Against Illegal Aliens. Mc Cain isn’t concerned with our American children who are raped by illegals. Like I said before, he hears only what he wants to hear!

Don’t let the media change the focus of this election. The most important issue is IMMIGRATION. The “friendly” neighbors to the south are counting on us to take care of THEIR welfare problems. As for McCain, all you need to do is Google Jaun Hernandez a “volunteer” working for McCain. He and his communist (yes, communist) friends in Mexico will get rich(er) if the amnesty is passed.
Look up “The Real Mexican Revolution” by J.R. Nyquist. That should wake you up. If not, your are part of this mess and the money means more to you than your country. Also, anyone is his right mind has to realize the financial burden that will be placed on the U.S. MIDDLE class. These “immigrants” will NEVER assimilate because they don’t have to and the U.S. Government panders to them. All you need to do is follow the money … as usual.

Earth to Charles Wilson. McCain is winning nimrod. Obviously immigration is NOT the most important issue to mainstream America as evidenced by McCain running away with this primary. Maybe to all you rednecks that fly rebel flags from your pickem up trucks it is. But to the America that counts it isn’t even on the radar screen anymore. That’s fact Jack. But there is an idea that is picking up steam. Round up and deport rednecks, bigots, nativists, and xenophobes. Keep the hard working immigrants. They are a much better class of people. McCAIN IN 08!

Thank you Charles Wilson! After Googling J.R. Nyquist, it is easy to see how far out on that lunatic fringe you’ve gotten. Check out Nyquist folks and you’ll know all you need to about Nyquist. See below. [edit] On-line journalist and commentator Nyquist was a regular columnist for the online news site WorldNetDaily.[1] He has also contributed articles to other online news sites such as Sierra Times[11] and NewsMax[3]. He is currently a regular columnist for Financial Sense[1] where he serves as the geopolitical analyst. He has appeared on several radio programs over the years being both interviewed and serving as a guest commentator. He currently hosts his own radio program on WIBG, a tiny Christian fundamentalist radio station covering the Atlantic City, Cape May, and other southern New Jersey areas.[2][12] Seen any little green men lately Charles? I hope everyone will remember this when these 2 traitors to Georgia run for reelection. They had 2 conservatives that represent Georgia’s values to choose from and they decided to choose their good ol’ buddy from the Senate instead. They should have endorsed Romney. It’s going to funny when Romney wins GA anyway and then we kick Saxby and Johnny out of office for stabbing us in the back.

For all you whites who think it isn’t about race, think again. It’s always about race, when nonwhites are concerned. And the nonwhites are the only ones who get to base everything solely on race, NOT the whites. When WE do it, we’re labeled racists, separatists, extremists, etc.
Wake up People!!! We are standing at the brink of total destruction of our language, our culture, and our people. If that isn’t about race, I don’t know what is. If you want to call me a racist, an extremist, a separatist….FINE. Call me whatever it makes you feel good to call me. But whatever, call me WHITE. Because that’s what I am….FIRST, FOREMOST, AND FOREVER.
And for those of you who don’t think race matters, check the crime stats in this country. Look who’s raping who in this country, and then look at what the media tells you in this country. There are upwards of FORTY THOUSAND BLACK MALES RAPING WHITE FEMALES IN THIS COUNTRY NOW EVERY YEAR, AND YET OUR MEDIA FOCUSES ON ONE…..ONE, MIND YOU, PHONEY WHITE ON BLACK RAPE CASE FOR ALMOST A FRIGGIN’ YEAR. THAT IS WHAT YOUR MEDIA THINKS OF WHITES IN THIS COUNTRY.
Check out your county crime stats. Look at who’s getting arrested for rape, assault, murder, drugs, etc., and you’ll see an array of non white faces now. Mexis and blacks is mostly what makes up crime in my county of Gwinnett. Yeah, white people commit crimes. No one is saying they don’t commit some crimes. But when I go to sleep at night, it ain’t a white face that I fear coming through my door. It’s not a white face who I fear attacking me at the mall in the parking lot, or stealing my car and shooting me, or whatever scenario I can imagine. It’s a black or mexican.
Face it folks. We have a g******* terrible mess in this country right now and it’s only getting worse by the day. And it started back fifty years ago with integration and then was continued withe the Immigration Act of the 1960’s. Before that, it was mainly europeans who immigrated to this country, and blacks were kept away from polite white society. That is why we were safe back then, and for no other reason.
I live by a slogan and you should too. Nothing goes right until we go white. Think about it folks. Do the research and do it with an open mind and stop feeling guilty because you are a white person who cares about your race, your language, your culture, and your country.
We are in this mess because white people can’t stop feeling guilty. Get over it!!!! Get a backbone and a brain, and start acting like it for god’s sake. Or we are going to lose this country forever.

A “nation” is a “birth cell.” The ancient prophecy is that a new nation shall be founded by Gentiles into which all nations of the world shall flow. It will be a haven for the remnant of the House of Israel, a nation of righteous priests, sovereign, ruled only by Truth and Righteousness.
America’s Founders believed America to be that prophesy fulfilled. Our Motto is E Pluribus Unum, reflecting The Many (nations) becoming ONE…so racism is not only unrighteous and ungodly, it is un-American and a defilement of the vision to be won by us all as true Americans.
So even if Obama fails to hang Bush, Cheney and his nearest hundred or thousand accomplices in 9-11 and false war sending our best to die shedding innocent blood; and even if George H.W. Bush is permitted to go to his grave like Nixon, without being tried and hanged at Leavenworth, just having “another nation” represented in the White House will bring honor to America, the Founders’ Vision, and will bring glory on high for the fulfillment of the Dream.

tomT, If you are more than a pathetic sockpuppet, read “The New Pearl Harbor,” by Emeritus Professor David Ray Griffin, a man of proven scholarship and integrity.
Bush did 9/11.
If that seems “incredible” to you, please read the book.
Isn’t it “curious” that Bush has been consorting with a homosexual prostitute James Guckert, and discredited preacher Ted Haggard, “outed” by his homosexual lover?
Look it up. All is revealed.
Obama is conventional in his worship, but more importantly his philosophy is in keeping with the civil religion of Americanism. He is a Constitutional Scholar who taught Constitutional Law in a respected law school.
Bush is the traitor as was his JFK-killing father and his Hitler-financing grandfather before him. Their “immunity” has been granted as they are tributaries of the Rockefeller pyramid which built the Oil Monopoly on unredressed murder and arson in 1870’s Cleveland, and is the Vatican’s correspondent bank.

Fascism is Right-wing…from “fasces” the symbol of Rome. Rome’s promoting illegal immigration to destroy the Whig Jeffersonian “left-wing,” de facto “liberal” America is fascism attempting to destroy republicanism…a liberal, progressive human revolutions which “arrested thousands upon thousands of years of despotic” caesaropapism.
Hitler, Rome’s catpaw financed by Bush’s grandfather as front for the Vatican-banker Rockefellers, was a fascist. Bush’s father and the Roman Catholic CIA assassinating John Kennedy for ordering us out of the papal fiefdom of Vietnam where the five percent Roman Catholic population owned 95% of the wealth was a fascist act.
Bush’s fascist faction believe that they got away with financing Hitler and the Holocaust, and killing Kennedy and King to send us to die in Vietnam, so they can get away with committing 9-11. Let’s prove them wrong and bring them to justice.
Freedom is not fascism’s friend.

**In 1995, the Bill Clinton-appointed chairwoman of the Commission on Immigration Reform was the late Barbara Jordan, D-Texas, the first black woman elected to Congress from the South. She testified to Congress on immigration reform nine years after the “one-time amnesty” that was to solve our illegal immigration crisis forever.
Jordan was clear on what it would take to gain credibility on immigration policy: “Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave — deportation is crucial.”
On the criminal employers who lure illegals into our republic, Jordan recommended mandatory electronic verification of legal employment eligibility. “Employer sanctions can work,” she said.**

Conservatives who demand rule of law by due process, as well as grassroot opponents of The Mexodus*, will never vote for an Amnesty advocate.
Thus, while many limited government Conservatives would vote for Romney, they won’t vote for McCain or Huckabee anymore than they’d vote for a Democrat.
Therefore, regardless how evangelicals may vote, the GOP needs the support of each segment of its base to retain the White House in 11/2008.
It then follows that a vote on Super Tuesday for McCain or Huckabee is a vote for a Democrat president.Johnny Liberty

I dont know where the idiots get that wanting our laws enforced is racist. They read into things what they want others to think. They are only one sided. I have a little granddaughter in a Latin country, and her Mother went back because of legal status and I highly respect her for getting immigration right so my granddaughter{who is legal) wont have the worries of her Mom being deported. There is no racist picture, only the want of “DOING THE RIGHT THING AND COMING HERE LEGALLY AND NOT BREAKING AMERICAN LAWS’ In America if you break the laws, you go to jail. The problem is they want us to turn our back on their criminal activity, which is criminal when you intentionally come across our American borde. And the Christian paart is if God had wanted everyone to be the same he would not have placed us in different parts of the world. Also there is a lot more countries in worst shape than the Latin countries but the majority of them are not crossing our border illegally.Check the crime rate since our borders have been so pourous. Do you want better for your children or so you want it all taken away just to make another country better? If things dont change our children and grandchildrens future is gone. I want better for my grandchildren, and especially the one out of the country BUT I want it done the right way. Just look at the meth situation. The borders are so pourous and the drugs that is being smuggled over is killing the kids. Your Federal government and state governments are making so much money on seizures that they dont really want the drugs to stop. Our jails are so full right now from drug problems. A vote for McCain is a vote for it all to continue. I dont know who I will vote for yet but it wont be for someone who want enforce the laws when they are broken. People want to feel sorry for illegals who get deported and have family here, is it any different than an American going to jail for a crime? What about his or her family? Do you not think their family is hurt? Both broke the law. D.A. King paid his price so why not the illegals? THEY BROKE THE LAW WHEN THEY DECIDED TO CROSS THE BORDER. And remember their countries DEPORT ILLEGALS. DUH!!!!!!!! Do we now understand?

Most meth is made right here in the good ‘ol US of A. It’s not smuggled across the border. And it’s made because a lot of Americans want it. Either way, you can’t blame the meth problem on illegals. Making them Scapegoats is way too popular nowadays.

Regardless of the personalities involved, illegal immigration must be addressed by thoughtful Americans. The border must be secured along with our sovereignty, and the organizational hierarchy, the “masterminds” whose political power and published plans are sponsoring, protecting, and facilitating this organized invasion for conquest, must be identified and stopped.
That organization, ultimately, is the Roman Catholic Church. Their published stratagem is available for any with any doubt as to their guilt.
The “National Pastoral Plan for Hispanic Ministry” is the “smoking gun” proving their treachery, and the groups through which Rome is effecting their scheme are guilty as well.
The personalities don’t matter, the principles of Our Constitution do.
Build a secure barrier. Adjudicate and expropriate the treasonous Fifth Column promoting illegal immigration to shore up the failing Anti-Christ pedophile priesthood of Babylon, and then address the 20,000,000 illegals.
Those who wish to be Americans in a restored Nation freed of their Roman slavemasters, who wish to share in our commonwealth and Republic, to become part of the American People, can stay. Those who have no intention to be American shall be treated humanely. Employers wishing to employ illegals shall suffer to the fullest extent of the law.
We must maintain Our Nation’s Sovereignty. The sovereign People are under attack by the fascism of the historic Anti-Christ in conjunction with the Rockefeller/Bush/Nixon traitors who killed King and Kennedy to send us to Vietnam, and have since committed 9-11 for oil, heroin and their Saudi allies.
This threat must be extirpated. The treasonous Fifth Column, whether ecclesiastic, economic, social, or political, must be expropriated and banished.
The promotion of illegal immigration is but one facet of their ongoing stratagem involving the destruction of the American Middle Class.

Dale Cardwell on Illegal Immigration, from his website:
I’ll work to secure our Borders and hold Illegal employers accountable
There’s no excuse, six years after 9/11, that our borders and ports are porous and susceptible to terrorist infiltration. The reason is simple: Multi-national corporations that are not concerned about America’s sovereignty or security, demand their “bought” politicians to protect the flow of cheap and exploited illegal labor.
As your Senator, I will:
Immediately secure our ports and borders
Insist that Washington use existing technology to demand that employers require a valid and verifiable social security number from potential new employees prior to their hiring
Hold illegal employers financially accountable for violating the above rule, and hold them criminally accountable for continued violations.
Force the Federal Government to deport illegals who commit serious crimes
Return equilibrium to our system of labor supply and demand, so the wages of hard working Americans can start rising for the first time since 2000.
Sounds reasonable. Let’s put Dale in the Senate on Barack Obama’s “coat-tails” tomorrow in Georgia!

McCain is winning because he is a creation of the mass media. They are counting on the fact that the ignorant masses will not look up his record. There are myriads of places to look up his record. I live in Texas and we have fought McCain and his amnesty bills all summer. Either people have forgotton or they are totally ignorant on the subject. It amazes me. I have researched all the candidates for 6 months looking for the right one. Mitt Romney is the man!! I can totally understand why so many are jealous of him - he’s tall and handsome, super rich, brilliant (top of his Harvard class), awesome family, successful businessman, and has made wise choices all his life. McCain has his fair share of scandals, even his wife was caught stealing drugs from a charity she worked with. He fights the republicans. The media has failed to give us the “straight talk” on John McCain and his very flawed record and character. But don’t worry, the Dems WILL tell us all about him if her gets the nomination!
