The husband-wife tag team: Bill Clinton here on Monday

It doesn’t look like the Hillary Clinton campaign is ready to concede Georgia to Barack Obama anytime soon.

One day after Clinton committed to attending a Jan. 30 fund-raiser in Atlanta, our colleague Aaron Sheinin just got word that husband Bill will be in Atlanta on Monday to participate in Martin Luther King Day ceremonies. No details yet.

Obama is due here on Sunday, John Edwards tomorrow.

On Monday, the former president will be sharing attention with Republican Mike Huckabee, the only Republican presidential candidate who’ll be attending.

Being an overweight person myself, I was personally impressed by Governor Huckabee’s weight loss feat: managing to lose over 100lb in one year, and perhaps more importantly to keep it off, requires a huge amount of personal discipline. Anyone who’s tried to lose more than 50lb, and keep it off, can testify to how much discipline and determination is needed to do that. I read an interesting article about Huckabee here - http://www.projectweightloss.com/ - where his diet is summarized. Basically it has to do with a radical and permanent lifestyle change. Go Huckabee!

Hillary can’t serve because the Equal Rights Amendmant was never ratified by the states. I’m sorry but a vote for her is a vote for a Republican.

That’s right! and you know the Republicans will take it to court and win in the courts again.

The people of this country would not tolerate another Presidency granted by the courts but That won’t stop the Repubs from trying and the courts are in favor of their every whim these days.

Never mind that all the recounts in 2000, even the one done by the NySlimes, confirm that Bush won fair and square. AlGore, phony scientist and divinity school drop-out, was the big baby that would not admit defeat. You guys are still hung up on this stuff. I for one am glad. Live in the past libs. It is good for my party.

Bush v. Gore was patently unconstitutional, on its face. From the Breyer Dissent: “The Court was wrong to take this case. It was wrong to grant a stay. It should now vacate that stay and permit the Florida Supreme Court to decide whether the recount should resume.” Only the Roman Catholic affiliated Justices voted to make Hitler’s banker’s draft-dodging homosexual grandson our president so he could commit 9-11. Those who defend Bush, or any of his accomplices/fellowtravelers, are Tories and deserve that which Our Whig Founders gave them in 1776.

Will the Clintons be talking about abolishing the IRS, bringing the troops home from all over the world, and getting the country away from government programs? If they cant talk about more freedom and liberty with LESS government, then they need to SHUT UP and GO AWAY! We are SICK of what they brought us last time!!! They are CROOKS of the most evil, nasty nature…BEWARE OF THEM!!!

What is wrong with you guys?

Hilary is the MOST qualified democrat in the race. The backward state laws or better lack of progressive regulations (including the ratification), is another reason for which we have to vote for a progressive and intelligent leader, Ms. Hilary Clinton.

Never fear, the Clintons will cheat, steal and lie their way into the nomination. This would be a disaster for feminists and Democrats as Hillary brings out the worst in everyone.

What exactly are Hillary’s qualifications? Voting with Bush on the war as a junior senator? Pretending she didn’t know her husband sleeps around? Shamelessly using the race and gender card in her desperate bid for power and money? I’m not impressed.

Bill Clinton’s recent angry outbursts, seemingly symbolic of his wife’s campaign gone awry, seem eerily like the scene from the old movie “King Kong”(1933), where the beast holds a terrified Fay Wray aloft while he roars “Love Me! Love Me!”

Actually the metaphor appears to address several levels of the Clintonian reality, no?

New York is a populous, wealthy state, one of the original thirteen with a highly developed political framework. How did a woman from Chicago, via Little Rock, after having gone to college in Massachusetts, spend eight years in the White House as a lying beard for her fraud of a husband, and suddenly be inserted into the Senate…from New York? Can any come up with a more reasonable explanation than the distinct similarities between Bill’s and Winthrop Rockefeller’s noses, particularly given Bill’s condoning the forward creep of domestic fascism both during and after his terms in office?
