Dear Ms. Obama: Feel free to stop by for a bit of roast hog
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
One rumor making the rounds declares that a certain Democratic presidential campaign wants Michelle Obama — who will be in town on Sunday — to attend that evening’s Wild Hog Supper in downtown Atlanta.
The Wild Hog is a feast of boar meat that has become the traditional opening event for each year’s session of the Legislature. The event is an easy way to meet nearly every lawmaker in the state. The gathering is also the province of state Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin, a Democrat who has declared for Hillary Clinton.
But that’s not a problem, Irvin said. Barack Obama’s wife would be greeted with open arms. “If she wants to come, we’ll get her a ticket. Matter of fact, I’ve got one in my pocket,” he said this afternoon.

With due respect to Tommy Irvin, Ms. Obama do not waste your time.

Tommy Irvin has been around since ‘69 because he is an old time Democrat that has adapted just enough to modern times to stay viable to those who care about agriculture and the industries he regulates.
Ms. Obama, he may seem archaic but, if you have your eye on the general election and want any prayer of carrying any part of rural GA (necessary to capture GA’s considerable # of electoral votes) I’d meet with him.

She should show up. Mr. Irvin could talk about the agriculture business in Georgia. He could talk about how hard it is to feed 7500 people showing up to fill 350 WalMart jobs. He could talk about the need for more pork — maybe 2.5% more annually.

The person who stated that Blacks will vote for Obama just because he is black should not have made that statetment. The person who said that Blacks think that if they vote for a black candidate that things will go their way should not have said that. Blacks are use to things not going their way and we can cope. Is the person who made those comments listening to the speeches made by the candidates? I don’t think so. Besides we had one black president…Bill Clinton. His face may be light but he has SOUL and he is superbad!

It’s not about race its about who can deliver. I would be voting for Obama if he were green, or a Muslim for that matter. He provides the best opportunity for what this country needs most and that is uniting, so that together we can solve the problems that face us.

Commissioner Irvin says he is a supporter of Mrs. Clinton. If so, I believe he missed the perfect opportunity in NOT inviting Mrs. Clinton to this event on Sunday. (By the way, it is a great event, enjoyed ay all). Mrs. Clinton just might, I said might, need some votes from from the Georgia voters on Super Tuesday. By the way, Mrs. Obama would be an extraordinary addition to the gathering!

If Mr. Irvin is for Mrs. Clinton, as he says, he missed a BIG chance in not inviting her to the Wild Hog. She is going to need some help from Georgia voters, those the Clinton machine has not “hog-tied.” (no pun intended). And by the way, if Mrs. Obama did choose to attend the dinner, she would be an extraordinary addition!!!
