The accents threw her: A glimpse at how Hillary Clinton intends to court and win the South
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Hillary Clinton says she never thought Iowa would look so much like Mississippi.
The occasion is this morning’s piece by David Yepsen, the influential political columnist for the Des Moines Register.
In it, Clinton declares that Iowa will be the “hardest state” she faces — in part because she brought her ground game later than Barack Obama or John Edwards.
But it’s also because she’s a woman. Said Clinton to Yepsen:
“I was shocked when I learned Iowa and Mississippi have never elected a woman governor, senator or member of Congress. There has got to be something at work here,” she said, theorizing it may be the risk-averse nature of a state built around agriculture.
“I think not only do I have to bring people to me, I have to maybe reassure people here maybe more than I do in New Hampshire, which has had a woman governor,” she said.
“I think Iowa poses a special burden, or a special obstacle to me because when you look at the numbers, how can Iowa be ranked with Mississippi? That’s not what I see. That’s not the quality. That’s not the communitarianism, that’s not the openness I see in Iowa.”
We’re still trying to figure out which state should be offended.

I guess she’ll be shocked to learn that Georgia also has never elected a woman governor, senator or representative. Wonder how many other states have such status?

Lemme get this straight, JimBob: If something’s true, well, it’s not an issue, but if Senator Clinton points out those facts, then she’s a b-word, right? Oooo.. let’s all be OH-fended…

ummmm. Georgia has elected a female rep. As much as most want to forget her, Cyndi McK is part of our history.

If I am not mistaken Denise Majette was elected to replace Ms. McKinney. We have also elected a few women statewide (Cathy Cox, Kathy Cox, and Linda what’s her name) so I think Georgia gets a break on this one, we respect our women here this is not Mississippi!

From Wikipedia:
Communitarianism as a group of related but distinct philosophies began in the late 20th century, opposing individualism while advocating phenomena such as civil society. Not necessarily hostile to social liberalism or even social democracy, communitarianism emphasizes the interest of communities and societies over those of the individual.
At least she’s (sometimes)honest about her intentions. The individual loses under a Klinton administration. Collectivism rules.

Hillary and all the others who would have us make them elect, though they remain silent on the perfidy of 9/11-committing Bush and his accomplices, are statists. Whiggism established Individual Sovereignty in the Creation of the United States of America. Caesaropapism’s “ancien regime” of king and pope was displaced by America’s “Novus Ordo Seclorem:” The New Secular Order. Hillary is a Rockefeller front defrauding us from the pseudo-left just as Bush has defrauded us from the pseudo-religious. Each is “Anti-Christ.” The People are sovereign and must reassert themselves by exacting just for Bush and his abettors’ 9/11 treason and false war.

You idiot, in English “Novus Ordo Seclorem” is translated “new order of the ages”, not “new secular order”.

Know thine enemy America!
Your priest is “proud” of your Latinizing casuistry here in G-d’s Promised Land, no doubt. The wish to attempt to correct the grammar of those who established this land and welcomed you is amusing, in a certain pathetic way.
But as this is an American and not a Vatican website I’ll take the “liberty” to point you to antiquarian Latin dictionaries free of the Fifth Column’s “rewrites.”
Even the “Pocket Oxford Latin Dictionary,” a 1913 reprint, includes the Latin translation of “secular” on the English side. Perhaps you could bother to look up the translation and share it with us, Einstein?
America’s, Our (clearly not “your”), Founders established The New Secular Order…in the Motto: Novus (New) Ordo (Order) Seclorem (Secular/”saecularis”). The “Ancien Regime,” (Old Order) of King and Pope was sectarian. We Americans are heirs of America’s New Secular Order, anathema to those yet in the “embrace” of the pedophile “monkish religion” identified as “the real Anti-Christ” by Our Founder.
Confronted by papist dupe, traitor, or ill-informed rube, true Americans need only read the extant writings of the Anointed Prophets, Jefferson, Paine, and Adams, or an appropriate dictionary, to know your vituperative, misleading, and pernicious ignorance is laughable, at best, treasonous on behalf of Rome’s Anti-Christ at worst.

Bottomline, Mississippi is a state full of bottomfeeders. Always has been, always will be. Iowa needs to clean up their act, being compared to a s-hithole like Misspissippi is sobering and disgusting.

Lady Macbeth! How has she managed to dupe so many people, including the media? As Romney pointed out, she hasn’t even run a candy story. She has run nothing, chaired nothing championed nothing. She is my senator from New York and she has done nothing (Charles Schumer, by contrast, has done much; save a VA Hospital!) This woman is a menace and will ruin this nice Republic. Me, I am supporting Ron Paul, who is also doing well with the young people. At least he has integrity, something Mrs. Clinton never had.

Iowa has also never voted in a black person either, but Obama did not raise this issue. Obviously, Clinton is trying to soften the blow if she doesn’t come out on top. A cheap trick to be able to place blame elsewhere.
