Saxby, SCHIP ‘n’ Dale. All brought together, courtesy of YouTube.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
In terms of technology, this is incremental, but still worth noting. U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss, the Republican up for re-election next year, has posted on YouTube.com an eight-minute explanation of his vote against the SCHIP bill.
“Georgia taxpayers would be required to fund families in other states with significantly higher incomes,” he said.
Just by coincidence, one of his Democratic opponents, Dale Cardwell, posted his own YouTube comments on the Washington fight last week — shortly after President Bush vetoed the bill to expand the federal/state program for children’s health insurance.
“It was just plain wrong for Saxby Chambliss to vote this year against PeachCare, a program that over a quarter million Georgia kids rely on for their health care. He did it because President Bush and the big insurance companies wanted it that way,” said Cardwell, the former TV journalist.

I really appreciate our elected officials standing up for fiscally responsible government. Instead of simply reauthorizing SCHIP, which would have received full bipartisan support and a Bush signature, the Democrats have used this as an opportunity to push for a massive increase in Government entitlements along with a huge tax increase.
Thank you Saxby Chambliss, Johnny Isakson, and Jim Marshall for doing the right thing.

Dale Cardwell will say or do anything if he thinks it will raise his statistically insignificant name ID. He should be trying to figure out how to avoid losing to Vernon Jones, the clear front runner in the Democratic primary.
Here he is on YouTube making it sound like Saxby voted against needy children and against PeachCare. Not the case, Saxby voted against a major tax increase to fund a massive expansion of the program to middle and upper-middle class adults…not what SCHIP was designed to do.
Dale Cardwell is trying to distract Georgia voters from his campaign that just can’t seem to get off the ground.
