Complex in a very simple way
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Lawmakers were migrating back to Washington Tuesday after a month off and at least three Georgia congressmen - Reps. Jim Marshall (D-Macon), David Scott (D-Atlanta) and Tom Price (R-Roswell) - are already busy.
The trio is on the House Financial Services Committee, which is investigating - starting with a hearing on Wednesday - why the subprime mortgage industry imploded, creating thousands of home foreclosures across the country. The Atlanta market ranks second nationally in such foreclosures.
In interviews, the three congressmen made clear that the problem is complex and that identifying a chief culprit will be problematic. Democrats say Congress has a lot to do to fix the problem. Republicans say the only way to ensure the lending market recovers is for Congress to stay out of it.
After exchanging all the esoteric jabber we could stand about “exotic financial instruments” and such, we finally just asked Price what’s going to happen with it all.
“Well,” he said, “I think the Democrats will take about 10 days to take the pulse (on the Hill) to see if they can rush something through.”
Hmmm. Maybe it’s not so complicated after all.

Does Southeast Atlanta still have the second highest foreclosure rate in the Country?

The truth of the problem is simple: the fascist plutocracy, developed around 1)the Vatican-correspondent bankers’ Federal Reserve Bank (whose patently unconstitutional franchise Pres. Kennedy’s Exec. Order 11110 “temporarily” ended), and 2)Vatican-banker, and Bush master, Rockefellers’ confiscatory Oil Pyramid, has reduced much of the Working Class to “share cropper” status unable to manage the usurious rents by which they have been burdened due to the spiraling concentration of wealth into the few hands of those yet supporting the homosexual pedophile priesthood and their 9-11 treason and false war led by the “bought and paid for” perverts on Capitol Hill and the SCOTUS, and in the WH.

Right. A massive Vatican-Rockefeller conspiracy involving gay presidents, assassinated explorers, and a 9/11 coverup.
Nothing could be simpler! Sheesh, Will, get some therapy… blogging is only making your problem worse.

“Anonymous” thinks she/he is smarter than America’s Founder:
To Samuel Kercheval Monticello, January 19, 1810
SIR, — Yours of the 7th instant has been duly received, with the pamphlet inclosed, for which I return you my thanks. Nothing can be more exactly and seriously true than what is there stated; that but a short time elapsed after the death of the great reformer of the Jewish religion, before his principles were departed from by those who professed to be his special servants, and perverted into an engine for enslaving mankind, and aggrandising their oppressors in Church and State; that the purest system of morals ever before preached to man, has been adulterated and sophisticated by artificial constructions, into a mere contrivance to filch wealth and power to themselves; that rational men not being able to swallow their impious heresies, in order to force them down their throats, they raise the hue and cry of infidelity, while themselves are the greatest obstacles to the advancement of the real doctrines of Jesus, and do in fact constitute the real Anti-Christ.
To Major John Cartwright Monticello, June 5, 1824
DEAR AND VENERABLE SIR, — . … What a conspiracy this, between Church and State! Sing Tantarara, rogues all, rogues all, Sing Tantarara, rogues all!
Speak to Americans of the “virtue” of “Soma,” “Anonymous.”

Every time David Scott is mentioned in the AJC, it needs to read “Inman Park resident who represents the Southside, Rep. David Scott”.
Living in the district you represent…a novel concept.

Inman Park is lucky to have a Congressman living there! Besides, with the Republicans moving the lines around all the time, David Scott would have to move all over metro Atlanta just to stay in the same District! Saxby didn’t live in his District when he was in the House, it’s happened often with the US House members.

Inman Park was never part of Scott’s district. Also, he needs to stop paying off his immediate relatives with campaign and staff money.

I’m a huge fan of David Scott’s so I’m not going to let these comments go. Inman Park was part of Scott’s district when he was in the state senate… Since then, and since he has been in Congress, the 13th Cong. Dist. has been changed so many ways that I couldn’t count how many times he would have had to move just to keep up with the Republican gerrmandering.
By living intown, Scott can have better access to ALL areas of the sprawling 13th District (look at a map, all roads lead to the center of Atlanta).
