Blogwatch: A view of Hillary, from Manuel’s Tavern

The videographer Grayson Daughters, known in the blogging world as Spacey Gracey, has hooked up with the Huffington Post to produce a video political diary.

The first one was recorded Tuesday evening at the Democratic bastion of Manuel’s Tavern. See it here.

The topic was Hillary Clinton.

Most of the fodder was provided by the old Government-in-Exile group of Maynard Jackson loyalists, plus a few beer-drinking groupies. You’ll see Angelo Fuster, Tom Houck, Tom Crawford of Capitolimpact.com, the AJC’s Jay Bookman, author Paul Hemphill, and many, many more.

Not a very big turnout we’d surmise by the report here…not surprising.

So glad ‘crackkks are losing their societal advantage!

GIE won’t let us bloggers sit at the grownup table. That’s ok for now, but we’ll move over there when they’re gone. “Succession planning” they call it in Corporate Land. You guys got such a plan at Cox Plantations?

And of course it wasn’t a packed house that night; there’s no election just around the corner so no grab ‘n grippers were around to flash their cosmetic smiles. Whew…

To say that Georgia is the reddest state in the nation is a smug statement from a 20 something blogger who’s probably not from GA to begin with. While I know it’s intended as “entertainment”, it is a cliched piece. Also as a drinker at Manuels for some 25 years (and I am still relatively young!) to pander to this outsider “I’m surrounded by the enemy” tack is offensive. Get off your high horse and look at the reality.

Glad I had that 20-something, newcomer to Atlanta filter on my camera. Worth every penny it is. Now if I can attach that one to the “reality” filter…
