No endorsement for Edwards from the man in Plains

Former President Jimmy Carter called Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards “a candidate whom I really admire,” but stopped short of an endorsement Wednesday as Edwards popped into Americus.

The Associated Press reports that the two shared the stage at Georgia Southwestern State University, Carter’s alma mater.

“I can say without equivocation that no one who is running for president has presented anywhere near as comprehensive and accurate a prediction of what our country ought to do in the field of environmental quality, in the field of health care for those who are not presently insured, for those who struggle with poverty,” Carter said.

Carter later told AP writer Shannon McCaffrey that it was too soon for endorsements — and that his comments were not meant as a criticism of other Democrats.

“I think he is a very appealing candidate, especially for rural voters here,” Carter said.

I was there and I was proud to support of John Edwards. The opportunity to shake his hand (not to mention President Carter’s!) and to hug the beautiful Elizabeth was almost too good to be true.

“A very appealing candidate”? “No one who is running has anywhere near as comprehensive and as accurate a prediction of what our country ought to do…”?

You can say that again, Mr. President. America deserves an Edwards administration. This time, let’s elect a president who will actually look out for the interests of ALL people, not just the uber-rich. Good grief, haven’t the past 6+ years taught us anything.

I would estimate that there were more than 2000 people who gathered in Americus to hear from President Carter and Sen. Edwards. It was a rare, historic moment. Carter said, “I can say without equivocation that no one who is running for president has presented anywhere near as comprehensive and accurate a prediction of what our country ought to do in the field of environmental quality, in the field of health care for those who are not presently insured, for those who struggle with poverty.”

Carter continued, “he has a very good chance to do well” in the presidential race.”

It was quite a day.

What gives you or anyone else confidence that ANY candidate running for national office will look out for anyone other than the uber-rich?

Edwards is uber-rich and to say that he has compassion for the little folks is a real stretch, keeping in mind that true compassion is something he can’t buy.

Jared: So, given that any candidate who runs is going to be super-rich, what is your recommendation?

Someone who at least talks about the concerns of the poor, or someone who ignores them?

Let’s see: At the conclusion of Jimmy Carter’s presidency the stock market was at it lowest point in the last 30 years - 778. Interest rates were at 15% and no one could buy or sell a home. Capital gains taxes were at 50% The country was in a quagmire called “Stagflation”. JC refused to support the existing government and the Ayatollah who was run out of both Iran and Iraq had returned to taken control of Iran which has lead to todays mess in the middle east. US hostages had to wait ‘till Reagen was elected because of the inept Jimmy Carter. And his own party did not want anything to do with him.

Now tell me why anyone wants JC’s endorcement?

Those who falsely seek public office to rise in power, prestige, perversion, or sublimation must be barred (Viz. Craig, Foley, W. per James Guckert). Those who are complicit: knowingly silent in the face of bi-partisan high crimes and treason…JFK assassination by Bush/Nixon CIA (Viz. “Hunt v. Liberty Lobby” Jury determination - re: “Plausible Denial,” Lane); Bush/Cheney commission of 9-11(Viz. “The New Pearl Harbor,” Griffin, PhD; Mineta testimony of Cheney stand-down order, et al); false war in Iraq and Afghanistan; assassination of Pat Tillman) must be pursued by the “hue and cry” of an enraged and enlightened People.

There is no honor is silence when treason is plainly in sight - whether one’s bank account is large or small.

Carter is no recommendation. He is stupid, craven, or complicit.

Edwards is living under the curse of the loss of his son and his wife’s cancer. Does Annuit Coeptis pertain to him any more than it does to a homosexual draft-dodging traitor like George W. Bush or his JFK-killing father or his Hitler-financing grandfather?

The People must determine who is worthy to become EL-ect…that is why we are the Electorate.

There will be an absence of honor in candidates for office until the People extirpate the fascist plutocracy now ruling through its bi-partisan Rockefeller CFR “false aristoi” Roman Fifth Column.

May The People be Sovereign once more, and G_d Bless America.
