Where to find Vernon Jones’ TV ad

Many thanks to Peachpundit for locating the youtube version of Vernon Jones’ TV ad. It’s been running Sunday mornings on “Georgia Gang” on WAGA-TV (Fox5).

The odd thing about the 30-second spot is that it doesn’t mention the words “Democrat” or “for U.S. Senate.”

You’re welcome, Jim. Last time I checked, Vernon hadn’t used the “D” word in years though. Let us know if you hear him ever do it again.

And BTW Jimbo, it helps to actually subscribe to things like politicians YouTube channels. That way you’ll have it ahead of the pack/curve. I mean that’s what social media is for. Those clicky things, unlike Vernon himself, aren’t just there to look pretty. Use ‘em… if your Great Leadership there at Cox Plantations will allow you to do so, of course. Do you have to ask Ms. Wallace for permission to click-on YouTube? Just curious! TTFN, SpaceyG.

Jim, is there going to be a serious Democratic challenger to Saxby next year? Max again? How about Roy Barnes? Could Cathy Cox be coaxed? Are we Democrats stuck with Jones>

Jones will have a hard time defeating Dale Cardwell …on just both of their reputations alone.

It doesnt seem that GA has ANY worthy democrackkks to run…]

In NC we have a total lack of anyone BUT democrackkks as a result of 100+ years of democrackkk oppression.

STRIVE to be SMARTER than a democrackkk…and dont EVER vote for one, cause they keep us ALL oppressed!

Fact Checker, I thought Cardwell was running for governor. The last time he made any news was when he attacked Sonny for the way he handled campaign funds.

Mr. Clements, One should stay better informed.

Mr. Fact Checker, I know a little more about this subject than you think. Cardwell has little interest in either campaigning or gaining a mastery of the issues. He apparently does not have either the gravitas nor the experience to be a factor. The point of my first posting is to encourage Jim Galloway to explore why more potential attractive candidates are not jumping into the race. Jones may get the nomination by default which is a disaster for the Democrats.

Jim Galloway, you do read all the posts, right? If so, what can you tell us about other potential candidates?

Mr. Clements, My point was and is, if you compare Jones and Cardwell, Cardwell wins by both of their reputations. Perhaps others shy away from candidacy because of sarcasm and cutting remarks from some that post here. It appears that democrats corner the market on keeping their own down. Don’t you agree? You say, “Cardwell has little interest in either campaigning or gaining a mastery of the issues.” Do you know him, or are you making assumptions?

I agree with you, Fact Checker, that we Democrats often shoot at each other while Republicans do a better job of gathering the wagons in a protective circle. Will Rogers talked about that phenomenum 70 years ago!

Having said that, I have tried without success for several weeks to lure Cardwell out of his campaign office and talk about some issues over breakfast or lunch.

Certainly, on paper Cardwell is superior to Jones as a viable state-wide candidate, but so are a bunch of other people. Jones has a lot of negatives which I don’t think he can overcome. Cardwell doesn’t seem to have a lot of anything.

Perhaps the national party has written Georgia off. I hope not because I do think Saxby can be beat, but it will take someone with either a lot of name recognition or an abundance of attractive issues.

Neither Jones or Cardwell seem to have what it takes to beat Saxby.

Again, Jim Galloway, isn’t it time to do a story on why folks like Roy Barnes, Cathy Cox or Shirley Franklin don’t seem to want to run?

And by the way, Fact Checker, if you are affiliated with the Cardwell campaign, be honest and acknowledge that when you post something.

Thank you Mr. Clements, It’s honest dialog such as this that allows us to find some common ground. I respect your views. I am not a part of the Cardwell campaign, but I know and respect him as a good man with our country’s best interest in his heart. True, he doesn’t have much experience in what he is doing, but I believe that will ultimately be to his advantage because I know that he will listen to the voters. It seems the Democratic party has a pendulum that swings a large arc while the Republican party is more focused but less encompassing. Please continue to seek a meeting with Cardwell. I believe he would benefit from listening to a sound message such as yours.
