Fred Thompson wants your money

The current speculation is that Fred Thompson will jump into the Republican race for the White House on the Fourth of July.

Two days later, he’s got a fund-raiser scheduled in Atlanta. It’s the usual $2,300 for close contact, $1,000 for distant longing. Peachpundit.com was the first to collar the invite.

Check out the host list.

Put me down for a couple of close contacts a distant longing, and a sack of baloney to go.

Unfortunately, we peons cannot attend such fundraisers. If I had a spare $2,300 laying around, it certainly wouldn’t go to a fund raiser.

He wants the rich vote, not the common man’s vote…….

Oh, and when did we start working for the government? Isn’t the government supposed to be working for us??????

The odd thing is that we don’t really even know his agenda only a few talking points. But somehow he has people wanting him to be President. Quite odd that people don’t even know what he’ll do but want him anyway.

Craig It’s because they don’t want Hillary. I’ll vote for anyone running against Hillary, even if I have to pen in a name…..

Craig, just what do you know about Obama? What do the legions of fans Obama has know about him or his agenda or his past record for that matter. Other than the oh- so- important fact that he’s new on the block. Thompson will never come off as ill-prepared or just plain old fashioned stupid as Obama did during the last Democratic debate. He made her look good, that’s bad.

Is it me or does this whole Fred Thompson event have a certain feel about it. Who is behind this event? Those are some heavyweights on that invite and all these elected officials signing up. Who is coordinating all this? No way this is just happening on its own.

I support Senator Obama for President and I don’t think that he looked “old fashioned stupid” in the last debate. That is your opinion. Many people think that Hillary has a cunning look about her. I tend to see her as prepared. Furthermore, most pundits think Senator Obama did much better in this last debate.

Lastly, you may think that Senator Obama is a new comer but he really isn’t. He was a community organizer, and a State Senator before becoming a United States Senator.

He learned how to build coalitions in the State Senate in Illinois and continues to do it in the U.S. Senate. He has a definite agenda…supports comprehensive universal healthcare, and He has been speaking with the right people on Foreign Policy issues.

You can learn about him too, if you’ll just do some research.

Smitty— Good luck finding the candidate that does not raise any money that allows them to travel all over the nation and meet voters. Oh yeah, Fred Thompson doesnt work for the government.

Unless the GOP can figure out a way to remove the tag ‘Republican’ from its candidate it won’t make a bit of difference whether they go with the flip-flopper, the cross-dresser, the war-monger or the lobbyist with the hot wife - they have no shot at all. Last Nov (‘06), half of the GOP candidates in ‘redder than blood GA’ wouldn’t even use the tag on their TV ads for no other reason than embarrassment…sadly, the conservative element in this country (who’s input is vital to our nation’s debate) allowed the Republican Party to be infiltrated by a bunch of a*******clowns and because of this the party is now a joke - no shot in ‘08.
