Atlanta City Council balks at ‘free speech zone’ ordinance
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Late word is that the Atlanta City Council has decided to put off consideration of an ordinance that would have allowed the creation of “free speech” pens to corral protesters at city-licensed events.
A vote had been anticipated for Tuesday.
Here’s the link to our original post on the topic, and the ordinance in question.

As the mayor and city council get more and more corrupt, expect the creation of these zones. After all, we wouldn’t wan’t free speech and public protest to get in the way of critical photo ops or nationally televised appearances by our illustrious leaders. The Nazi Gulliani had his in New York, there is certainly no reason why Atlanta would want to be a center for free speech. I mean we’ve already done our part by creating an MLK blvd. There’s no reason why we should have to live according to his ideals.
Hitler and George Orwel would be so proud of what america has become. I know I am.

Jim Maddox sponsored this in the first place. Oh yeah, he’s being investigated for having a city work crew re-pave his driveway.
