When the governor closes a door, the Lord opens a window.
Many of you have been grieving over the fortunes of House Majority Leader Jerry Keen (R-St. Simons Island).
He and another House leader were bumped from a state trade mission to cold, gray Europe — because, many assume, of recent House behavior toward Gov. Sonny Perdue and his recent veto of a budget bill.
You can dry your eyes now. Keen was one of several House members and other officials — including U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston — who flew down to bright, sunny Cuba last week to sell a few chickens and other Georgia commodities.
Also on the trip were House Speaker Glenn Richardson, Speaker pro tem Mark BurkHalter, state Rep. Jay Roberts, state Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin and his new deputy, former House speaker Terry Coleman.
Majority Whip Barry Fleming, the other House leader bounced from the trip to Europe, did not go to Cuba, either.
But if you’re from Harlem, Ga., you’ve already got all the culture you need. And your local opportunities for a tan are practically endless.

“When the governor closes a door, the Lord opens a window”?
If Georgia’s politicians were making moves in accordance with the Lord’s wishes, one suspects the state wouldn’t be suffering this drought and treason would not be allowed to prosper nor its affiliates to remain in public office.
G_d knows Bush is a closet-homosexual draft-dodger who committed 9-11. Why do the ninety percent of us who know it too permit evil to contnue here benefitting the 1% fascist plutocracy?
Why should Divine Providence prosper us as a people when we permit corruption and treason to rule over us?
Who may suffer more than agri-business, barring taxpayer-funded protections granted by their corrupt politicians, who bought and paid for Isakson’s and Chambliss’ Immigration Bill to get more Latin American slave labor, in support of Rome’s plan to take-over the U.S. by promoting illegal immigration, to “end-run” honest hard-working Americans’ desire for a fair wage: daring to lower the profit level BIG BUSINESS greedily “needs.”
Human nature never changes and other proud, strong, noble peoples have been conquered from within throughout history.
The People must unite once more and rectify the wrongs that have been done to The Constitution of Our Ordained Land of Promise by this knowable Anti-Christ bi-partisan, false-elite faction that funded Hitler and Nazism (Rockefeller/Prescott Bush/Roman Catholic Church); murdered Kennedy and King to send us to die for Rome in Vietnam (GHW Bush and the Roman Catholic CIA); committed 9-11 to send us to false war, and is promoting illegal immigration in obedience to the Roman church’s “National Pastoral Plan for Hispanic Ministry.”
If we as a Nation seek first righteousness all else will be delivered unto us…including the blessing of nourishing rain.
Georgia must dispense with compromised, lying, corrupt politicians. G_d is watching and is not mocked.

How come nobody told me the Speaker and other house members were going to Cuba last week to sell chickens? Did they take a cargo flight to Havana? How many chickens did they take? Were they fresh chickens or frozen birds? Did these boys sell the chickens on commission or consignment? I wish they’d tell a few more of us chicken farmers the next time they take off to sell chickens.
