New blogger. He’ll surprise you.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
We won’t tell you who it is, but we will note that his bio for some reason doesn’t include his vast courtroom experience. Click here to solve the mystery.
And a hat tip to Jason Pye.

Clicked the link, read the name and first phrase. Ummm, no it won’t surprise me because I have never heard of this guy. Sorry. But do we really need another blogger of his political ilk? I mean, I read enough things that are irritating and senseless in the NEWS section, do we really need to introduce more of that to the blog section, too?

Oh, Mitch? Is that courtroom experience left out because of your disbarment? This guy is laughable.

A new low. The AJC has is now hiring convicted felons to write blogs. Have you no shame? Let’s take a stroll down memory lane:
The Georgia Supreme Court has disbarred Marietta lawyer and former Fulton County Commission Chairman Mitch Skandalakis from practicing law in Georgia.
The court found in an opinion handed down Monday that Skandalakis pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Atlanta to one felony count of making a false statement to an FBI agent who was investigating corruption in Fulton County government.
The court found that Skandalakis “knowingly and willfully lied” in an attempt to avoid being held accountable for a breach of his public trust.”

AJC’s online “paper” is virtually unreadable — one literally has to look long and hard for actual “news!” Curiosity, however, got the best of me, and I clicked on the “new blogger” link, only to discover that a newspaper I once respected is now offering up a convicted liar and failed politician…why? Did he need something to do? Because surely the AJC needs a new blogger like it needs a hike in newsprint.
How disappointing for your readers. Suddenly, the decision to change my homepage from “ajc.com” to nytimes.com” seems like a stroke of brilliance.

Bill, that’s not an AJC blog. It’s just a link to Mitch’s latest effort at self-promotion….and fitting that it’s in Political Insider, now that he is a bona fide Political Outsider. Even convicted felons have free speech rights!

…WORST major metropolitan newspaper in the country.
(and I really hate when the pages upload in the middle of posting, thus creating an unfinished comment….)

Congrats to Chairman Skandalakis, he is one of the brightest and most charasmatic politicians I have ever met. I look forward to his blog and am thankful for all the good work he and his capable staff did for the Fulton County taxpayers. Mitch made some mistakes but he was refreshing in the sense that he was never afraid to speak his mind and shake up the status quo. Best of luck old friend!

I wonder if this blog is part of his plan to “kick Atlanta’s @ss”?
