Penultimate question for Rudy Giulini: Are too many dogs and cats being killed?

The next-to-the-last question was this, from a woman we couldn’t see: More than 100,000 dogs and cats are killed in Atlanta each year, and millions more across the U.S. What’s your position?
Giuliani says he favors adoption. “I think it’s a local and state issue,” he said.

“It’s a state issue” is the line all politcians use in order to get out of questions they really don’t want to answer.Its a neat and effective way of not getting rid of but diverting the issue. But why would such a lovely not to mention handsome man do this? Simply put he does not want to be seen as the puppy killing kitten squasher that he is.
