The House calls.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The House abruptly adjourned a few minutes ago, with no plans to suspend the session as Gov. Sonny Perdue wanted — to reconfigure the $700 million ‘07 budget.
The Legislature is obligated to meet tomorrow for its 40th and final day.
Nothing to do but wait and see if the governor will follow through on broad hints that he’s inclined to veto the supplemental spending bill, with a $142 million property tax.
More to come.

After years of criticizing the Democrats in charge of the state legislature, we learn that the now-in-charge Republicans can’t run things in Atlanta any better than they did in Washington. At least the Dems knew how to get the government to work, unlike these incompetent Republicans.

Bobby (or wanna-a-be bobby) might think that the democrats should rule state govt. but they are the ones who lost public confidence and became to concerned about their own future that they were tossed out on their ear for good reason. P.S. a good debate is a great thing for good govt. — don’t hide the process behind a green door or in smoke filled speaker’s private office.

Sonny must have forgotten that he is now supposed to be Republican. He’s acting like he’s still a Democrat.

The only Humpty Dumpty that’s broken is not the budget, it is King Sonny and it will only take 120 votes to fix King Sonny of what’s wrong with him!

King Sonny has been so busy running for VP, he’s forgotten how to work with the Republican General Assembly. Memo to King Sonny: Mitt’s watching, so is Fred and John and you just blew your one chance to go to Washington as VP.

If stupidity were grounds for impeachment, Casey Cagle would be Governor before sundown tonight!

Sonny: Rudy just called. You’re out on his ticket also. I guess you better try Hillary or Obama if you’re going to start acting like a Democrat again!

If that were the case Casey would then have immediatly step down as he falls into that category as well.
