Gone at 11:54 p.m.

The House ended its longest day just before midnight. Last bill of substance was a bill to allow teachers in start-up charter schools to join the state teacher retirement system.

The sponsor, a newbie, was duly roasted.

Good night.

Y’all are the lamest excuses for “insiders” in the history of journalism. Where is the backroom scoop, the intrigue, the interesting dope on the backstage machinations that should make your column a must-read for political junkies everywhere. This column looks like it was put together by two retired-in-place hacks who are no more “insiders” than Joe Sixpack in Loganville. Y’all stink.

That’s a dangerous thing to do letting those fools stay up past their bedtime….it’s like giving daycare children a lot of candy and then leaving them alone unsupervised! Among the crazier bills introduced yesterday is HB 729 by Rep. Forster and Rep. Cooper allowing for 16 year olds to sell their blood (it’s currently 17 years of age). I imagine school truancy will be on the upswing with 16 year olds selling their blood in order to go to the mall! Great move geniuses!
