Gingrich: ‘If I don’t seek it, it will come’
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Fortune magazine has a piece out on Newt Gingrich and his non-effort for the U.S. presidency.
It’s got Gingrich sounding downright Daoist:
“The radical realist who defied conventional wisdom 12 years ago by stealing the House out from under the noses of entrenched Democrats now plans a surprise attack for the presidency.
“‘I’m going to tell you something, and whether or not it’s plausible given the world you come out of is your problem,’ he tells Fortune. ‘I am not “running” for president. I am seeking to create a movement to win the future by offering a series of solutions so compelling that if the American people say I have to be president, it will happen.’”

Exciting. After all, who could out-debate him?
For those who are quick to hang the “He’s got baggage” weight around his neck, remember, all contenders have baggage…. and if they don’t, someone or the media will make it up.

Draft Newt - get real. Is that the height of arrogance. If he had only kept his pants on maybe he would still be in the limelight. Both him and Bill are craving it bad.

Whatever Newt is smoking, save some for me. He’s good with tactics but a horrid candidate. More polarizing than even Hillary. The only person who might draft Newt is Charlie Rangel!

A Newt vs. Hillary contest would be interesting in 08. No matter who wins sex scandals will follow.
