Mary’s out, Zell’s in: Miller dishes out the warm and fuzzy
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Republican Gov. Sonny Perdue is up with a TV ad that looks to be his closer for the ‘06 election. It’s a warm-and-fuzzy narrated by his new best friend and predecessor, Zell Miller, the ostensible Democrat.
See it here and talk amongst yourselves.

Boss Hawg Perdue’s done been tree’d by a pack o’dawgs down in Oaky Woods and he is a calling on Zig Zag Zell to pull ‘em off. Now I may be an old codger but my memory tells me whoever Zell endorses loses, check it out boys.

Hopefully Mark will do more than what Sonny has for you Georgians. I am thankful that I left Georgia for California. At least here, our Republican governor will stand up to that man they call the President of the U.S. It is very funny that Governor Perdue will criticize Taylor for drinking and using illegal drugs yet he stands by a man like George W. Bush who has admitted to having a cocaine problem. Perdue get it right! You cannot accuse one man of something and then stand next to another for doing the same thing. Wait a minute! I almost forgot! Perdue is a cheating, lying, conservative that receives countless dollars from special interest groups. Now I understand!

That vicious, hypocritical Zell Miller is not warm and fuzzy. He’s a bitter old guy who only exudes hate and frustration. For him to narrate, err…”stretch the truth a bit’, in Sonny’s ad is laughable.

Does Zell Miller remind anyone else of the old southern Colonel from the Bugs Bunny Show — the one that stands on his porch and yells “Belevedere, come here boy!”
The voice is identical……

THERE ARE A FEW SURPRISES COMING IN GEORGIA U. S. CONGRESSIONAL RACES. Sleeping lions can lose. Arrogant doctors can lose, the people’s voice can make a difference. Money doesn’t have to rule.

Zell Miller is such a hypocrite. Zell better watch it or all his sins and secrets will come out. He’s got ummm a closet full of them.

Now that the most revered figure in Georgia politics has endorsed our fabulous Governor Sonny, I certainly hope The Fat Guy doesn’t get depressed and over eat. That would be tragic. Instead of snorting cocaine he might get a hydrogen line and take off like the Goodyear blimp. Pork Chop wouldn’t be so critical of Sonny’s real estate deals if he ever had to earn a living instead of living off his rich daddy’s money. Zell Miller gave us The Hope Scholarship and removed the sales tax on food. The Blob simply tried to take the credit. But if the upset occurs at least Georgia will have the distinction of being the only state that has a governor that can be seen from outer space.

Thin Guy…Your assertion that Zell Miller is one of the most revered persons in Georgia politics is disputable, unless you are talking about within a small circle of the electorate.
As a matter of fact, this ad featuring the voice of Zell on behalf of Sonny increases my optimism about a Taylor upset on November 7 for several reasons. First, recent history suggest that Zell’s embrace is a kiss of death. Comingle that with the increasing arrogance of some segments of the Perdue camp, including the candidate himself, and you have the ingredients that can produce quite a surprise on election day.

To Sonny and Zell: The face of politics doesn’t change over time.
“Be not too hasty to trust or to admire the teachers of morality: they discourse like angels, but they live like men” … Samuel Johnson, Rasselas (1759), 18.
Say “Amen”. I said say “Amen”.

You are correct GLC. ZigZag’s endorsement of Sonny is going to cost him votes. But MT may be too far behind and have far too much baggage to overtake SP. IF 3rd party candidates can siphon off enough votes, and if MT can actually come up with something on his own and not just attack/respond he may have a slim chance. I forsee another 4 years of Perdoofus though.

To all of the Zell basher -They have to be fairly young, or they would know that today’s Democrat’s are not true Democrats. Talk’s cheap and there is a lot of cheap talk here!

Great point, BamaB! Also, today’s Republicans are not true Republicans. Eisenhower and Goldwater would be utterly disgusted at their borrow-and-spend, intrude-upon-individual-rights party today. Things change. I guess we’ll have to look at the issues and facts for a change, instead of holding fast to labels that no longer mean what they once did.

Zell should be ashamed to show his face to the citizens of Georgia. What he is and was politically was built on the backs of the Democratic party. He raised money from Democrates. He used the Democratic platform to propel himself through the State and into the Federal limelight. Shame on Zell.
