If you want something done right…
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
One of the many, many things that worries Washington Republicans about this Mark Foley stuff is that it will so disturb Christian conservatives, that they won’t show up to vote on Nov. 7.
So comes Sonny Perdue to the rescue. On Sunday, he goes to the Baptist Vatican. He speaks to the congregation of the Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Va., home to the Rev. Jerry Falwell.
Suggested sermon topic? “Never Mind How They Do It in D.C……”

Now it seems that it wasn’t booze after all that made Foley do it so much but the fact that an unamed clergyman abused him as a youth! Wow—what a blame game these Republicans are playing.

The Captain anxiously awaits word from the intrepid reporters as to what position Sadie Fields is taking on this matter.
While you’re at it, could you call Messrs. Isakson, Chambliss, and Reed and the rest of the Godly Republican Congressional Delegation. It’s time to take a stand!

Sadie Fields borrowed Cynthia McKinney’s broom which was on loan from Linda Shrenko, flew to Washington and cast a spell over DC. She then flew back to Georgia, returned the broom, went to church, bit the heads of two snakes and fell on the floor speaking a mysterious language.
Pat Robertston told her that is what God wanted her to do in this situation.

Well, well, well, here’s to the sanctimonius right-wingers again, this time quite nearly literally caught with their pants down. Foley’s bad enough; but, he’s sick, very sick; and, I think he is going to reap the just rewards of some of the legislation the hypocrit helped pass. Poetic justice if you ask me.
Now let’s turn the light on the leadership — Hassert knew and as the story unfolds it becomes abundantly clear that he has lied about what he knew. Since when do we call liars good men and say we want to stand behind their lies. I might also point out that Tom Price in the 6th is a deputy whip, therefore part of that leadership, and said he was standing behind Hassert. If I were him, I would stand way, way back of Hassert.
