Herman Cain goes under the knife
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
As we write this, Herman Cain, the former Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, is undergoing cancer-related surgery at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Cain entered the operating room at 8:30 a.m. EDT, and is expected to remain there until 6:30 p.m., according to his spokeswoman, Ericka Pertierra. Cain was diagnosed with colon cancer this spring, and has been undergoing chemotherapy in preparation for the surgery.
Pertierra said surgeons are removing tumors on the colon and the liver, and expect Cain to make a full recovery.

We certainly need to remember Herman Cain in our prayers. We need his voice and his common sense approach. I am hopeful for his full recovery and send my good thoughts to his family at this time.

If I’m not mistaken Herman Cain had his eye on the Lt. Governors race until this sidelined him. Would have been interesting to have a candidate make more sense than Reed or Cagle to see how it might have ended.

Cancer hits the good as well as the bad. Herman is certainly in the good class and I pray that God will heal him and return him to a life of service.

Just Wondering,,, Herman never considered the Lt. Gov. race. If he were to run a statewide race he wanted to be able to accomplish something. The Lt. Gov. seat holds little to no power as the current legislature has stripped it’s power.
Herman is a wonderful person who lives what he believes. Too bad there aren’t more like him who are willing to risk their reputation to make a difference.

Only heard Mr. Cain speak just once on C-Span, and have not forgotten his name, or how I impressed I am by his integrity and his faith. I pray the Lord will return him to health, and to his important work.
Best wishes from Wisconsin.
