Yet another 4th District poll

Matt Towery and his Insider Advantage have a tracking poll in the 4th District congressional run-off between Democrats Hank Johnson and incumbent Cynthia McKinney.

The survey, released this afternoon, shows Johnson at 49 percent, but also has McKinney increasing her support to 34 percent. Seventeen percent remain undecided.

If the numbers are solid, it’s not good new for McKinney — and would not be good news for any incumbent.

The survey was conducted Monday evening, the night of the GPTV/Atlanta Press Club debate between the two candidates. Again, this is a tracking poll, the first day of a series of cumulative, rolling surveys.

It’s based on interviews with 300 likely voters, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 6 percentage points.

View the entire survey here, but — fair warning — this is a subscription site.

And McKinney’s lawyer has just announced a lawsuit against Matt Towery for defamation of character and intent to injure the Congresswoman’s campaign…

Seriously, she’ll sue anyone who says anything against her now…

Has anyone seen Cynthia McKinney and Mel Gibson in the same place at the same time?

This needs to be investigated asap!

CYNTHIA LIED LAST NIGHT

In the debate, she claimed she was the “most effective Georgia Democrat, including John Lewis”. But go to [the rankings from Congress.org] (http://www.congress.org/congressorg/power_rankings/state.tt?state=GA) to check for yourself. You will find that out of 435 congresspersons, Cynthia ranks as the 408th worst, and the second worst in Georgia.

McKinney’s campaign domain name www.CynthiaForCongress.com was registered by the Citizens for Conservative Values. Someone needs to check into the background of this organization because it seems that McKinney’s domain name was registered by a Republican group. How hypocritical is that? I could be wrong about this, but go check for yourself. You can use any WHOIS lookup tool to find the information. http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/whois.ch?ip=cynthiaforcongress.com

Also, American Blackout will be playing at the Landmark Midtown beginning this Friday. This is meant to boost the support for McKinney. Is there not a law governing the release of a political movie at election time? I suppose it doesn’t apply to state elections or perhaps runoffs.

To the “American Blackeye” freaks: did you McKinney goons see this post?

“Well if anyone had any doubts that Cythnia McKinney is a freakshow of political graffiti, I hoped you watched this evenings debate on GPT or listened to it on WSB 750!

I couldn’t belive her lies. She said she was ranked highest in “effectiveness by congress.org, even saying she was ranked higher than Rep. John Lewis. LIE!

http://www.congress.org/congressorg/power_rankings/state.tt?state=GA&submit=GO

And a little further digging into her “facts is that she’s ranked 408th out of 438 in OVERALL power effectiveness.. in the bottom 10%. LMAO!!

http://www.congress.org/congressorg/power_rankings/overall.tt

But of course the media probably won’t call her on her hypocrisy and LIES because they are afraid of her. Further, her supporters are probably just too stupid to research what she said.”

McKinney’s arrogant cop punching and her trademark racism and bigotry hopefully looks like it will finally bite her where it hurts most and she will lose this primary. Johnson, who looks normal and competent by comparison, assuming he wins this primary, needs to diligently work the seat properly, unlike the fool Majette who arrogantly got way ahead of herself and lost out completely.

If Johnson can win now and then retain the seat at least once McKinney is finished. Which is glorious news for everyone in GA except the sullen semi-literate underclass that she manipulates with her racial spoils rhetoric and those blacks who embrace her bigotry/racism. And the odd anti-semitic wealthy arab who has petro dollars to burn.

Perhaps McKinney will now apologise for her bare faced very recent lies about her Congressional rating which have been well documented. Though the Clinton’s and Gore have hardly walked the path of veracity. If even the leftist multi culti AJC despises her politicially then she really is in trouble.

Lets hope she is in her last days of holding any public office forever!!

All this redneck GOP trash - the children and grandchildren of Klansmen and lynchmobbers - hate Cynthia - could it be because she’s black and female?

By Ed

August 2, 2006 8:00 AM | Link to this

No it is not because she is black and female. If you believe that then Cynthia has brainwashed you. She tried to use the “I’m black and female” card on the police in Washington D.C. but even her own party realized she was wrong by not comming to her rescue. She has done more to set single black females back in time by destroying her own credibility. The facts are that she is ineffective and has passed no meaningful legislation. This has nothing to do with race or gender.

Thanks Ed - it’s good to know what the child and/or grandchild of Klansmen really “think”. I guess what you are saying is that Georgia never elects mediocre politicians.

InsiderAdvantage polling service you use is run by two very active Republicans Charles Chuck Clay is President, Matt A Towery CEO. Be honest about who owns it and runs it, the voters deserve at least that much from a newspaper.

As far as the debate, Johnson looked like a deer in the headlights, no wonder he went broke as an attorney, the man just proved he can not think on his feet. To say he looked confused, even on his own platform, would be being nice. If he wins, I will not vote for him.

As far as McKinney, sharp as ever, and she is not afraid to speak her mind, the last thing we need in Washington is another cookie-cutter Rep. If more spoke out like she has maybe something would be getting done in Washington.

Oh about being an embarrassment, this state should be more embarrassed about the state of it’s children’s education instead of an incident that a Grand Jury found no charges against McKinney should be filed. But it would explain a lot of the inane attacks on McKinney.

I have to add, this dung about not passing any meaningful legislation. Are people now more interested in more laws and bigger government in Washington if this is used as a benchmark of a good representive?

And it would seem that many do not understand the concept of the majority and minority. Out of her 12 years in Congress the Republicans have been in control for 10 of them. It is also the reason why we’re in the shape we are in now.

OK, I checked congress.com and saw that Georgia is ranked 50th as a State. With a majority of the delegation Republican, in a Republican controlled administration, this is pitiful. Why aren’t people upset about the lack of performance from the 7 Republicans? And why aren’t folks disturbed that the Republicans have obsessed about Cynthia…wanting to cross-over, donate money, nit-pick every McKinney word? Cynthia has consistently given voice to the under-represented. That’s what she does and why people vote for her. You don’t see the Republicans have the same “concern” and put the same effort into cleaning up their own scoundrels. They protect and remain loyal to Delay, Ney, etc. and ignore the scandals of their own. I guess it’s just more fun to just be disruptive to the Dems. BTW, I am white, have pulled Republican and Dem ballots in the past and always look for candidates who are dedicated to helping the average, struggling citizen. No matter what you think of her hair, her reflexes, her poor-peoples politics, or even her political speeches…her votes have not been in support of the corporate fat cats. That is why she has already gotten my abseentee vote.

I’ve heard many people say they support her because she give people “H*”. That’s all well and good but you also have to know when to zip-it and get things done. I find it funny that she talks about the President and his administration like dogs, but when he walks out for the State of the Union Speech, her face it the first one you seen as she reaches out to grab his hand. Glandhanding and attention getting! The so-called debate on Monday was an absolute yawn. Whats the point of letting these people just repeat the same statements and answers to every question or charge. That is a disservice to everyone. Johnson was my local official and he worked well for us. He doesn’t have the political “polish” that professional politicians have but on the local level, I’ve heard good things about his service to my community so I for one will give him a chance. How much worse can he be? At least people may be willing to talk to him.

In the recent McKinney/Johnson debate Ms. Ms. McKinney said she voted 94% of the time.

A vote of special interest was Pension Reform Legislation HR4 which was on the house floor this past Friday night and came to a vote around midnight. This bill is designed to give airlines like Delta, Northwest and others a measure of time to fund their retirement accounts. This bill has a direct bearing on Delta, its 91,000 employees and retirees. Several thousand of these folks live and vote right here in the Atlanta area - including Ms. McKinney’s and Mr. Lewis’ districts.

If you will check the congressional voting record (web site printed below) you will find that 10 members of congress failed to vote and these include John Lewis and Cynthia McKinney. This was an extremely important piece of legislation - and of particular importance since it directly involves one of our hometown airlines. One would think that our local Representatives would at least vote on issues that can and will affect the future of Delta Air Lines.

Passed, 279-131, with 1 voting Present and 22 not voting. Sounds like a real close vote doesn’t it, do you believe that no one knows if the bill will pass or not until the day it’s voted on? All a memeber has to do is contact the Majority or Minority leaders to se if they will be needed.

Many issues will be delayed or tabled if the majority feels they do not have enough votes to pass it.

If she was my representative, one of the many things that would bother me is why is a lot of her contributions coming from out of state? Does teh democratic party not like her? I think her intentions are to be a life time political seat holder like Ted “I can swim” Kennedy, Strom Thurman,

Hey “godhatestrash”. I agree with Ed, Mckinney is am embarassment to the female gender, white or black. She reminds me of the person who yells discrimation when a Ms White Universe” beauty pagent is planned, but is big supporter for Ms. Black Universe, or yells discrimination we think about start WCE (white clean entertainment) but advertises 16 hours a day on BET.

To “godhatestrash” - Thanks for reiterating my point. Why re-elect a mediocre politicitian that her own party won’t back. A good politicitian works across political lines to influence good ideas while holding on to their integrity. Oh by the way - if you met me you would imediately know that the KKK would not want me on their team. You sound just like Cynthia. Ignore the facts and keep throwing the race card out there. People are getting tired of it.

That money coming from out of state is mostly from Union headquarters, Unions back McKinney for she has been one of the strongest supporters of the American worker. She is not one of those that supports corporate interests that sent our jobs overseas. Something highly uusal in this Congress.

Dick she isn’t your representive, pay attention to your own. This is one of the biggest problems, with the talk-radio and media attacks many who comment do not live in her district or even bother to know her record in Congress. Bet those same people don’t really know that much about their own.

Hey Bruce If she can accept contributions from outsiders, this south georgia red neck can sure express his opinion. I will say if she was my representataive ZI would (1) not let anyone know it and (2) move if I had too. It is coming the time where our elected officials should be set up their salary is based on the number of times they show up to vote. Cythia, John Lewis and Sanford Bishop would starve to death

Can we apply the attendance standard to Bush too? When the majority controls the votes, keeps votes open for they can twist the arms to get want they want, and have Delay threaten them, before he HAD to resign, I wouldn’t be one of the majorities lemming going for the Gold Star for attendance either.
