No such thing as bad publicity

The timing for Sadie Fields, chairman of the Georgia Christian Coalition, couldn’t have been better. This is the week that the Right’s blond bad girl, Ann Coulter, began taking heat for her comment about the widows who pushed for a federal commission to investigate the 9/11 attacks.

“I’ve never seen people enjoying their husbands’ deaths so much,” she wrote in the book she’s now peddling — “Godless: The Church of Liberalism.”

It just so happens that this is the week that Fields let it be known that Coulter will headline the Coalition’s annual fund-raiser on Sept. 16 — the one that will pay for voter guides in the November elections. Tickets are $65.

Just how far will this mean-spirited bimbo go in order to make a dollar? If Ann Coulter was ugly, the venom that she spews would not be considered newsworthy. She has grown more and more hateful as time passes, and this name-calling of widows of men who died on 9/11 ought to be found repulsive by even her conservative core audience. As for Sadie Fields, I can’t imagine what a horror it must have been to have grown up as her daughter. She is a vile creature who would make me lose my religion if I believed in her version of God.

Moderate Georgians just need to remember that these two are the sort of people guiding the rudder of the state and national GOP. They thrive on a culture of hate.

You think it’s bad growing up as her daughter? Try growing up as her gay daughter

Coulter is a piece of garbage and only other trash will listen to her crap.

The only difference between Ann Coulter and a streetwalker is that a streetwalker will admit she’s a whore for money. This latest foray just confirmed my suspicion that Ann Coulter will do or say ANYTHING to sell a book and make money. As far as I am concerned, anyone that buys that garbage is just another john. She and the Georgia Christian Coalition deserve each other.

Isn’t this just the perfect irony - Ann Coulter who spews hate and intolerance is speaking at the Christian Coalition meeting? She’s hardly a model of Christianity!

I totally agree with what Coulter said.

The only reason the mainstream liberal press is making a big deal out of it is because she is conservative. Liberals can get away with saying anything and the press ignores it.

Fox News is going to continue to be number one in the ratings.

I have deep respect for Sadie Fields.

You guys just don’t like what Coulter and Fields stand for.

Yes, Debbie, you are right on one account. We don’t like what Coulter and Fields stand for but it has nothing to do with liberal and conservative political values. They stand for monetary gain at the expense of others’ personal loss. It’s hard to describe why they are so reviled but just imagine nails on a chalkboard.

You are full of crap and you know it. You don’t like their stands on issues.

How has Sadie Fields profited financially?

What is wrong with what Ann Coulter said. Most of us have trouble confronting people that have lose love ones to terrorist, who have taken a “America must lose” attitude.

For anyone, especially those who have suffered loses, to advocate that America must not win this war on terrorism, this is wrong.

Hooray for Ann Coulter.

Hello Debbie,

1.) I wouldn’t care what their stand on issues is, they are indecent people.

2.) It just so happens that this is the week that Fields let it be known that Coulter will headline the Coalition’s annual fund-raiser — the one that will pay for voter guides in the November elections. Tickets are $65.

I have to agree with Shar and Van here. These are fine Christians speaking out with passion and honesty (and in the winsome Ms Coulter’s case, great wit) about people who want nothing more than to make the rest of us hate America. Well, I say NO to that.

My only objection is that these women should not be making such a public spectacle of themselves. it is unseemly. They should attend to more womanly pursuits, such as child rearing. And if they are beyond the practical age of breeding, they should take up needlepoint or knitting.

God Bless America, and may Hell swallow her traitors, no matter how many of their loved ones have died or fallen prey to the siren song of homosexual deviance.

Coulter and Fields are vile in the same way that Cyntia McKinney is - they substitute radical screeching for intelligent discourse, careening to the farthest edges of their respective positions so that the people who would otherwise be considered fringe don’t look quite so loopy in contrast. They do not have any ideas or value on their own yet they are utterly convinced of their moral superiority and their right to force their position on the rest of us. They are a coven of divisive, obnoxious paramilitaries leading thier own ideological brigades of the self-righteous. The most offensive element are the publishers and promoters who make money off of their desperate clawing for attention. Let’s just ignore the lot of them and allow them to sink from sight and sound.

My mistake, mea culpa.

My agreement was with the intelligent Debbie, not Shar. For Shar to compare the lovely and talented Ms Coulter to Cynthia Tucker McKinney is simply beyond any rational discourse. I think, in fact, that Shar needs to consider more carefully before she hits the POST button. Her comparison is ridiculous. For one thing, Ann Coulter is delightfully leggy with a come hither flick of her blond tresses, while Ms. Tucker McKinney has, well, you know, really bad hair.

If you don’t like the woman, stay away from functions and books that pay her. Simple. No money, no Coulter or McKinney.

Shar,

I have read all but the latest books by Ann Coulter and read her commentaries on line. Once you recongnize her style you will find her a smart and witty woman, except for the part of her being a lawyer. She is worth the read.

If you get the chance, read “High Crimes and Misdemeanors”

Convenient that every time she has a book coming out she makes some outlandish remark to get her some free press. All she wants is some attention. Saying widows enjoyed their husband’s deaths….wow….I guess it takes that high class education of hers to come up with something so intelligent. The ones rally to her don’t mind exploiting images of 9/11 for their own fundraising and political gain, but yet they agree with Coulter? Hipocrisy in its purest form. Giuliani and Bush have thrived off of these images. The GOP even uses them in fundraising pieces and commercials. Bush rallies his campaigns on those images and exploits them for gain. But then does nothing to actually go after the one behind it all. I can think of some more colorful metaphors than Coulter used to describe her and those on her side.

It’s quite ironic that a CC function would host someone like this. I guess turn the other cheek and love your enemy have been erased from the Bible Sadie uses….and Coulter as well. And what ever happened to that felony charge with her being registered to vote in two places? Using her real estate agent’s address to vote in FL….nice try.

@ Tony

Sir, are you suggesting that the effervescent Ms. Coulter speaks the truth only to get attention for her books. I cannot believe the depths of your cynicism.

Sir, in our media, speaking the truth is a very poor way to get attention. Why, if it were not for the lies being hurled back at her by the harpies of the left, her brilliant book would hardly garner notice in the liberal media. The fact that those professional widows have picked a fight with an honorable woman — and yet another excuse to bash American and George W Bush, God Bless them both — we would hardly have heard of this latest revelatory tome.

Finally, you must be very proud of your courage, picking on a frail woman in her declining years.

Comic: a socialist who postulates that the 9/11 attack had a moral basis is daring and provocative. A conservative who challenges the obviously confused/deranged feelings of those who give aid and support to the country’s enemy is to be reviled because her word selection hurt their feelings. The left needs to rise above mere dispute over the choice of words, and address the democrats’ vacuous intellectual foundation.

Captain Insano…or whatever you like to be called…do you run around your house in red, white and blue tights?

Speaking the truth? How does Coulter know what these women are thinking? Is she hooked up to the eavesdropping machine? It’s funny how you’d honestly think that this is truth when none of you have a clue if it is or not. It’s clear you are just another one of the Kool Aid crowd spoon fed your thoughts and gullible enough to think it’s the truth.

I find it even more humorous that it’s fine to follow a professional hack like Coulter who gets her jollies out of calling people names for a living but yet women who speak out about their husband’s deaths are evil. you don’t mind backing publicity wh0res on 9/11 like Bush and Cheney but it’s wrong for women to speak out about the crap that comes after 9/11 such as Osama running around freely?

Frail woman in her declining years? Who do you refer to?

Tony,

When the “Jersey Girls” started making political commericals against the President and against the war on terror, they cashed in on their husbands deaths.

Like that wack-o Cindy Sheehan, once you enter the political arena, you are fair game.

Frail woman in her declining years? Who do you refer to?

Why to the delicate flower Ms Coulter, of course. Clearly, though, the bloom is off the rose, as her fading good looks are testament to the Holy War she has waged against bedwetting libs like yourself. The fight has left her complexion ravaged, and her once curvaceous figure reduced to a near-anorexic shell. I weep to think of the sacrfices this good woman has made, remaining without both husband and child to serve in the fight for freedom. And you dare compare her to these insincere professional grievers who seek to turn our nation’s pain to their unworthy cause. Shame on you, sir.

Ms Coulter has fought the good fight, first against the adulterer Bill Clenis, and now against the Godless hordes who hate America and George W Bush, God Bless Them Both.

Cashing in? I’d do the same thing as them. Considering the man behind the murder of their husbands is still running around making books on tape and his deputy is producing how-to videos, I’d say they have more right than anyone to speak out. Let me ask you Van, if a local leader sat back and botched pursuing and prosecuting someone who murders a spouse or close family member, are you just going to sit home and sip coffee like a good little patriotic American? Or are you going to step on some toes and say someone needs to get off their bum and do their job?

Van, by what you’ve just said, you are saying there is nothing wrong with this war on terror and every single person including the actual full-fledged victims that disagree are ‘cashing in’. You’d rather goose step along with the side that lets Osama run free (and criticise Clinton for doing the same mind you). Go right ahead. You climb on up that proverbial rear-end. I’m staying out here in reality where the air is fresh and kool aid is not allowed.

Captain Spandex, you make me laugh. I’m a liberal? Why do you make such a stupid assumption? Just because I don’t drink the kool aid I’m a liberal? I guess about 70% of the country is liberal then by your standard. I guess you support turning all of the world to Christianity by war, supporting poisoning Supreme Court judges, and severely limiting the First Amendment. What a joke. You’d make Hitler proud. He likes brute tactics like you. Freedom is not hate. Freedom is not limited speech or killing all who disagree with them. But that sure reminds me of the likes of Stalin, Hitler, and all of the rest of the totalitiarian regimes that kill off those who disagree. Thank God we live in a country that only allows you to speak and not actually execute such a nutty idea. The tights are clearly impeding the blood flow.

George W. Bush could sleep with his mommy live on FOX, and there’s a segment of True Believers who would not see a thing wrong with it.
