Gwinnett cracks down on illegal immigration
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
If you are as big of a fan of ScanGwinnett.com as I am, you will have undoubtedly noticed the use of the phrase “Hold for Immigration” on some of those admitted to the Gwinnett County Detention Center.
Some of the people being held for immigration include about 48 individuals who, combined, accounted for 42 separate violations from January 19, 2009 through January 24, in zip codes 30071, 30092 and 30093.
There were 28 driving or vehicle related arrests totaling 64 violations. The biggest violations were either not having a valid license or none at all (31 violations.) There were also 3 DUIs, and 3 with no insurance (1 did not have proof of insurance).
Aren’t you gonna feel safe driving to work now?
Speaking of safety there were a number of real (sarcasm) winners (/sarcasm) in the same time frame. There were 6 different types of violent arrests (7 total violations) ranging from battery, assault, disorderly conduct and even cruelty to children.
There were nine violations of individuals who were arrested for either violation of probation or failure to appear.
One particular gentlemen you will all be interested in was arrested for all of the following: - False Identification Documents - Purchase/Possession of Alcohol (under 21) - DUI .02 under 21 yrs old - No Drivers License - Knowingly Driving with Suspended Registration - Driving on the wrong side of the road
(eye roll)
This is not 287g in action but it is a “surge” by ICE officials at the Gwinnett County Detention Center that will run through January. It may give us glimpse into what we may expect to see once 287g is up and running in full force.
I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to follow up with Sheriff Butch Conway and gather details to do my civic duty and provide you all with an update on where Gwinnett County is with the implementation of 287g.
If you will recall, last I wrote about the program there were a series of tasks on Gwinnett’s To-Do list before they could be accepted into the program. The application, staffing additions and changes to conditions at the detention center to name a few.
While there are still some To-Do’s left, Sheriff Conway informs me that they are waiting on the acceptance and the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding. Once that has taken place, the assigned deputies will receive about 4 to 5 weeks of training by ICE and the program will be underway.
They are projecting thousands of detainees once the program is up and running - this year.

Well said Woody. I have told everyone that will listen about scanngwinnett. I can even start to guess correctly what people get arrested for. Young females DUI or shoplifting, Most Asians are DUI. Latinos are driving offences and white guys are little bit of everything. I get the daily emails and also the sex offenders list for 30024 area. I e-mail out to neighbors any happenings in our subdivision. My wife thinks I’m big brother watching everyone but howelse are you going to know what is going on the area?

Saints be praised. An AJC blogger actually wrote a salient blog about Gwinnett County.
Congratulations Woody. However you missed Senor Linares, who was arrested for Murder.
We have enough miscreants in this country, we don’t need to import them.
America doesn’t mind immigrants, as long as you do it legit. Though if more hispanic immigrants looked like Shakira…..

Mark,
They have a racial breakdown (kinda) on the GCDS website, but they lump whites and hispanics together.
If you work at it, you can discern the real statistics.

The AJC has been running an article for the past few days on how the supposed strict Sate Law is ignored. The brains under the Golden Dome forgot to add money for enforcement or pentalies for employers who get caught hiring illegals. Unless this law is enforced, 287g is nothing more than a feel good law.
L’Bonehead’T was drooling over two counties sending 8,000 back last year, that isn’t even a drop in the bucket. The fact that they have to be arrested to go to the county jail to be checked is just a small percentage.
The fat cats will continue to hire illegals, for they have no fear of state pentaliies or enforcement and the flow of illgals will continue. Face the facts kids, those hire illegals are protected and the 287g is nothing more than a feel good law. it may have worked 15 years ago, but not now.

By my count Male inmaates are:
Black: 964
White 676
Hispanic 766
Asian 37
Total Male Inmates: 2455
The math is fairly simple, especially when you consider what the percentage of the population of the ethnic groups.

For Brucie the Mathematically Challenged Moron.
8000/250000 = 3.2% of the Illegal Immigrant Population. And that’s only two counties. Wait until Hall gets involved.
Why don’t you give me 3.2% of your monthly welfare check and food stamps if it’s only a “drop in the bucket”?

L’Bonehead’T, why did you use the lower number? Plus the report was from 2004, do you think the illegal population increased or decreased since then?
What you seem to be missing here Bonehead is the fact that unless the State Law is enforced the flow of illegals into the state will continue.
Are you really that much of a Bonehead to believe that by sending such a small percent back, that they will not be replaced by an even larger percentage?

Woody,
They arrest Senor Linares on Saturday. Mary Jo Lane in Norcross.
Brucie. If two counties are deporting roughly 3.0% of the states Illegal Immigrant population, I certainly wouldn’t call it a “drop in the bucket”.
The important thing is that they chase the Illegals out of Gwinnett County, I would like to be able to sell my house for more than it’s worth.

Ever since one of the largest meth busts on the east coast happened in our neighborhood in 2006 and 19 illegals were arrested at the two houses involved, ScanGwinnett is the first email I read everyday. I also drive the whole neighborhood a couple of times each week to see what’s going on. Currently watching a house with 7 cars parked outside everyday and a flooring company van parked in the driveway that never moves. But there are two relatively new Mercedes in the garage and driveway and lots of hispanics coming and going. I’m sure I’m not the only one watching these activities and keeping tabs. We have a lot of longtime residents in our subdivision and we are constantly watching everything since the big drug bust. This house and others will be a topic at our homeowner’s meeting tonight too for sure. Also, just filed a tax return on our Lawrenceville house and returned the value of our house at 25% less than what the County says it’s worth because of the new breed of renters/homeowners in the neighborhood. We used to have a nice subdivision but not anymore. Everytime I see “hold for immigration” on ScanGwinnett, it warms my heart. You can’t get them out of here soon enough for me.

Shhhh. Don’t tell Brucie.
A Prince William County official is attributing a decline in certain types of crime last year to the county’s crackdown on illegal immigrants.
A study released last week says homicides declined by 44 percent from 2006 to 2007. The incidence of rape fell 33 percent, robberies declined 23 percent, and aggravated assaults declined 18 percent.

I really don’t care if the quantity of illegals deported under the 287(g) is only a zillionth of a percent of what’s here – like they say about the proverbial busload of county commissioners going over a cliff, it’s not the solution but it’s a really great start. The program WORKS – if nothing else it lets them know that when the police are called to ask them nicely about something (booming barrio blasters, 200 living in a single house, front yard parking lots, etc.), they really do need to pay attention. I too enjoy the daily arrest e-mails in the 30093 zip – the county has done an admirable job in keeping our hermanos more civilized than they’ve been in many years. My neighborhood is almost back to where it was 20 years ago – safe and pleasant. By my numbers, crime in our immediate area has dropped by around 65%. I have observed firsthand that many of our problems have moved elsewhere. Forgive my bluntness, but I do not particularly care where for now, as my immediate problems have in fact been reduced.
Yes, Virginia, these people are serial criminals (once to get here and at least once more to wind up in jail), and they are too incredibly stupid NOT to get arrested, definitely the crud of the scum of the gene pool. They steal from us daily, from uninsured motorist coverage to free medical care to the WIC program, and of course the cost of our bloated legal system, which is currently FILLED with them, all on the taxpayer dime. In the words of the great Gill Favor, Head em up, move em out! There’s no reason to discriminate – a criminal is a criminal, and these need to be flushed. Feeling bad about their families? Like any criminal, they should have thought of that beforehand, but what the heck, send the families home too!

“I suggest Brucie take a look at Rudy Giuliani’s “Broken Windows” program. It diminsihed crime in NYC.” Being from New York it had nothing to do with illegals. Rudy drove the gangs out, but where did they go? All the surrounding towns and cities in, N.Y., N.J., Conn, and Mass.. Towns and cities without the resources of the NYPD, so Rudy is the hero of NYC but hated everywhere else.
The same with the 287g program, like Rudy a republican, it is not getting rid of the problem, it just pushes it a county over.
We don’t even have the program yet, “Conway informs me that they are waiting on the acceptance and the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding. Once that has taken place, the assigned deputies will receive about 4 to 5 weeks of training by ICE and the program will be underway.” If we get accepted and knowing how fast Butch operates we may get the program in the late spring or early summer.
The 287g program is just a bandaide, until people start writing their State Reps and State Senators demanding money for enforcement of the exsisting state law, they’ll keep coming. We let the Fat Cats off that hire illegals, no inspections, no fines. How simple can you make it, 287g and strict enforcement of the State Law will have the effect needed, otherwise you’re fooling yoursevlves.

Gwinnett is not Georgia, they’re doing what they can do, and it’s working for us. I’m willing to accept that the world will not be changed by rhetoric, and that for now our neighboring counties are on their own. Something is vastly much better than nothing, even in an alley behind a QT.

Sometimes just a simple band-aid can keep a serious infection from overtaking us. YES, the 287g is working well elsewhere (I’ve seen it for myself at street level), and Gwinnett’s sweep is already showing some real clear positive results. My neighborhood has also been largely cleaned out (both voluntarily and otherwise) of some real problem hombres, and I too don’t particularly care where they went. Bull$hit, you people are just not bright enough to put two and two together. Enforce all laws equally, think about it, some Fat Cat hires an illegal, he gets jailed, there are twenty more to take his place.
More bull$hit, “gripe-but-do-nothing”, no I have been lobbying the State Reps and Senators under the Golden Dome who will not provide the money needed for inspections, nor will they set fines for the Fat Cats who repeatedly hire illegals, all this for a state law enacted two years ago.
It’s simple supply and demand, Fat Cats will hire illegals, so they will still come, not all break the law to end up in the county jail and 287g to take them away. So Chuck, what have you done?

Brucie is a very sad and frustrated little person – anyone who disagrees with him and/or actually ACCOMPLISHES anything is dismissed as “just not bright enough…” This shows through all the way to the “Golden Dome” in the typical view of him as a crackpot. Among his personal political heroes is one that nearly had his then illegal immigrant wife deported – yeah, boy, there’s some rock solid support.
The worst of the illegals that have been arrested have involved charges up through and including murder and drug trafficking, which don’t sound employer-related to me. Criminal behavior is criminal behavior. In any case, as has been clearly pointed out in this forum, illegals in fact tend to NOT flock back to counties that have active 287(g) programs. Count my neighborhood among the success stories – I was delighted to see a couple of our worst ones put on the fast track home. Brucie would rather have left them here, selling their drugs to kids, until he had his way.

Finally, I like handling the insults one by one, it’s like giving a child a toy.
Since your minds are limited by the county boarders I’ll try this, ask a commissioner or even Sheriff Conway if it would ease his job? If the state carried out inspections and fined the employers that hired illegals, soon the number of illegals would drop and the number of those at the county jail would drop.
Oh, btw Chuck, you’re some kind of hypocrite are you not, didn’t you support Commissioner Green’s odinance that did the very same thing the state law is supposed to do?

You will find a link elsewhere herein to a news story about Prince William County, and there are numerous other similar success stories. Basically, if your locality chooses to tighten up on illegals, things will improve drastically. Cherokee has made some quiet changes, and that’s commendable.
The attempted point here has been that it will probably be a long time before the feds can/might do anything and states probably won’t due to more pressing current budget issues, but in the meantime local governments can put a significant dent in it. The fact that we have 20 or 30 protesters in downtown Atlanta bemoaning the progress Gwinnett has made says it all. I’ve seen a couple of surveys showing 96-98% approval rates of county citizens, so it looks like a “go” for full steam ahead on a “win-win” local program (in conjunction with the feds), the 287g. They know it’s coming and are vamoosing in large numbers - don’t know where to, and it won’t fix the state or federal problem, but it’s fixing ours in Gwinnett.

Mexico most certainly does care. Mexico wants every U.S. taxpayer to totally support every Mexican that Mexico can put onto our backs and into our economy to screw us -U.S. Citizens - out of every penny they can get, legally, or as is, mostly illegally.
Just bringing the comprehensive compassionate truth out of the shadows.

There are currently 63 active 287(g) MOA’s More than 840 officers have been trained and certified thru the 287(g) program .

but i have no compassion for those who come here and break our laws. tell the family in arizona that they should have compassion for the father and husband who was killed by an illegal.. sorry i have no compassion for those who bring crime and milk our system until it is dry..
i have compassion for those who come here legally and work hard bring up their families to be good and honest. so dont say i dont have compassion..

“Mary the alley behind the QT sounds like is wrecking your businesses, try another corner.”
I don’t know what you’re talking about, Brucie, but you are a sick disgusting pervert! Sounds like you’d be more interested in my son than me anyway.
I’m was confused as to why “small keys and big fingers” only affected your grammar (see first sentence) when you were excited, but I think I understand the deeper meaning now.
Odd, I don’t recall anyone named McBush pushing the 287g in Gwinnett, but in any case, those pesky facts have shown up in our neighborhood as well. A DUI / leaving the scene was caught - Brucie never answered, but I assume he’d have wanted them to stay until he personally approved of the deportation. He always claims “boredom” when faced with reality. Anyway, sure hope my husband crosses paths with him someday.

“70,000 (since January 2006) individuals” out of 12 million.
Prince Williams County has a lot more programs than 287g to handle illegals, search the web.

Brucie needs a math tutor.
That’s 70000, with only 63 287g MOA’s in place. Imagine if every police force were involved.
If only Brucie had finished third grade he could do meaningful math instead of cherry picking his statistics.
Brucie “Do-nothing, Lay down, Curl up in a Ball, Suck your Thumb and Cry” has proven that an extra chromosome can’t prevent someone from using a computer, but can prevent someone from doing simple math.

Nah, nah, you got to do better than that to convince me, woody’s mom.
So, allow me to set your compassion straight. ANYONE residing in this country illegally IS A DAMN CRIMINAL!
They don’t have to kill anybody, rape anyone, cripple-up a single soul or even so much as get caught jaywalking in front of a leaf blower on JCB.
The only compassion an illegal alien gets is a fast safe deportation. About ninety percent of the time that means deep, real deep, South of the U.S. Border. And make that a very secured border as of say, like yesterday, so there is no mas mañana which Po’ Wuddle Pedro Cottontail dare try thinking about hopping back across to the other side of U.S. bunny trail, even on an Easter Sunday.
No more mamby pamby, drool, drool, compassion, whine, cry, boo-hoo, slobber, slobber, comprehension shadowed by compassions’ covered in lie afta lie, afta lie, year afta year afta year, time afta time afta time; again, again and uh.. AGAIN!
No more wink n’ nod, no more phone calls made by Senators to stop work- site raids executed by I.C.E., slaps on the wrist wimpy meaningless fines with no CEOs’ and upper level management never serving 10 years hard time on felony counts for hiring illegal aliens, nor without them losing companies and personal properties, including real loss of any other assets tangible or intangible.
I’ve got more solution, short of committing a genocide, than you will ever accept woody’s mom.
If you are serious about ABOLISHING illegal aliens and illegal immigration you burn the illegal immigration bridge at both ends, eternally.

Now Chuckie, riddle me this, the same illegal law that you heaped praises on Commissioner Green for, now you say wouldn’t work with the same law at state level if they bothered to enforce it with inspections and fines? How can this be Chuckie? Remove the demand, the supply stops, simple concept.
Chuckie, where do you get this idea that I want nothing done? Enforceing the state law will send far more back than the 287g program. You have to be arrested and sent to the county jail for the 287g to work, what percentage of illegals would that be Chuckie? Enforceing the state law seriously, heavy fines for anyone that hires an illegal would stop the demand, no jobs, no illegals. But bush did a pretty good job of that already. Chuckie I always knew you were no more than a follower, I just never realized you were stupid too.
About that apology Chuckie, no way, if you want to play hhardball and throw insults, just remember it works both ways.
“A DUI / leaving the scene was caught”? Mind-readers? “No, a tag number, idiot!” Jose a tag number was never mentioned in the comment, so it’s you who is the mindreader or the idiot.

Most of the bloggers do not and probably will not ever understand the reasons behind the so called “illegal immigrants” because they all repeat what they hear without using their own brain to understand the issue, if you really want to help on fixing it, start finding out what causes it: -The majority of the mexican undocumented workers are hard working people who are just looking to provide food at the table for their families, they are uneducated hence why their hands it all they have to achieve it, people in contruction, agriculture, landcaping, poultry and all other requiring intensive labor rely and prefer these people in their industries, and think about this: anytime you got someone doing hard labor there’s more people on above the chain making money. Accountants, suppliers, transportation, goods, supervisors, salespeople, etc, etc. Kill the labor at the bottom of the ladder, and you will cause the whole ladder to crumble. And don’t tell me you or your son don’t have a job because of these people, with all educational opportunities in america I don’t see kids going to college to work in a chicken proccesing plant. -They are UNEDUCATED beacuse most of them com from rural areas where their main source of income was working in the field growing grains in “ejidos” and thanks to NAFTA their crop prices hit bottom after 1993 since american crops started getting imported to mexico at a better prices without taxes, as you may know US produces a lot more crops at a better cost due to their vast lands and high end machinery compared to mexican farmers where most of the crops were hand picked and without machinery. -Back at that time Georgia was in high demand for labor, infrastructure to get ready for the olimpiads, agriculture, and contruction to keep up with demand of all new implants coming to live in georgia from all parts of US, most of you were happy and why not: good affordable housing, goods jobs, a lot of you sold your old crappy house to a latino in order to move into a new bigger house, cities were collecting taxes in all fronts, property prices went up to the sky, no one complained. Suddenly the same people that helped a lot of this rural towns become urban cities are now blamed for everything that happened in the universe. They’re all criminals, scumbags, parasites, let’s kick them all out, etc. I really don’t undesrtand how many of you with those thoughts keep going to churches on sunday, unless you use church as your own social club. -The real criminals, (and there’s a lot in all races) police can line them up and ship them to guantanamo as far I’m concerned, but don’t tell me that a mother or a father that has to drive to work to feed their children, without a driver license is a criminal. -The people with no criminal background, don’t you think it serve better to educated them into the american way of life, obligatory english and well behavior classed, etc. instead of demonizing them. -Lastly think of these people with a bit of compassion, they’re humans too, living in fear of being deported to a country that does not care about them, they have seen their relatives die at the distance without having a chance of saying good bye, many of them spent their christmas on the phone with parents and brothers in other country. the USA has has always been a compassionate country has God has blessed it. These people also believe in the SAME GOD and pray to Him everyday when they have to go out to work.

Most of the people who tell me what I don’t know or can’t understand about illegal immigrations and illegal aliens really don’t know what they are talking about or what I actually do know. Of course, the people who say these things condone illegal immigrations and support illegal aliens. They will lie, distort facts, whine, boo hoo, give sob stories out the yang and worse completely ignore the Constitution and the laws of this country. Worst of all, the people who condone illegal immigrations and support illegal aliens do willfully and maliciously dismiss with the greatest of disrespects the rights of every U.S. Citizen.
Among these rights is our right to institute a sovereign government to rule over us to write laws that we find acceptable which we live under and expect all others to lawfully abide by, regardless of what other nations think or what other nationalities may demand of us. This is our human right made known in our Declaration of Independence.
We the Citizens of the United States have every right thinkable known to man to restrict, to reject or to accept any foreign person or persons into our country under the conditions we set forth in our laws, in whatever numbers that suits our needs or whims that assures us of our Constitutionally mandated domestic tranquility; and we retain the right to expel, to deport and to forcibly remove any foreign nationals who do not abide by, meet the demands of our laws or comply fully with time limits placed on granted visas as our immigration laws permit any foreign nationals a limited lawful legal residency.
We the Citizens of the United States in our rights as a people of a sovereign nation have mandated in article of our Constitution that our elected representative government, which is this Republic, perform the obligatory duty to protect, to secure and defend each of our states against invasion, whether it be an armed or unarmed intrusion of any foreign nature.
We the Citizens of the United States have every reasonable right to expect and have so mandated in article of our Constitution, a very gracious solitary uniform means of lawfully acceptable immigration into our country with the reasonable demands of naturalization through assimilation and oath of Citizenship. As Lincoln’s house could not stand divided half slave, half free neither can our immigrants stand divided half legal, half illegal: For as we have only one U.S. Citizenship to bestow, we must therefore have only one legally lawful pathway to receive the very high prize of a U.S. Citizenship that has clearly been long established in settled law, and as it should remain settled, without creating detours that take illegal roads.
We the Citizens of the United States have a sworn alliance to this Republic, to our nation of laws, as well in this sworn alliance is to ally each other as U.S. Citizens, as even our government by mandate in our Constitution is obligated to promote our general welfare, notwithstanding self-imposed obligations to our immigrants. The poverty of the world must therefore wait, when the poverty of next door, across the street, in our own backyard that plagues our fellow U.S. Citizens can no longer wait. Millions of hard working Americans, U.S. Citizens, even among our military veterans who are good people educated and undereducated who only want to feed their families if they could find any job sit idle, unemployed, because job opportunities that they could fill are taken by illegal aliens for cheap wages. These U.S. Citizens broke into no one’s country like a thief breaks into a house to seize upon an opportunity to gain for themselves the worth or wealth that rightfully and legally belongs to some one else. No illegal alien can say they are not criminals nor can anyone else.
Americans stand up for America first and foremost, demand that our laws be enforced against illegal immigrations, against illegal aliens and the employers that hire them. Demand a comprehensive compassionate hire American buy American reform policy from our government.

Sorry to bust your fantasy bubble, miriam, but I’ve personally helped to show most of the illegal vermin formerly in my neighborhood the way out the door. These people either don’t get it or just aren’t smart enough to make any effort to fit into civilized surroundings. We have either driven them out or they have wound up in jail simply by ensuring that the zoning laws are enforced - no living like animals 50 per house, no front yard parking, no DUI or driving without licenses, etc. in our hood. There’s nothing more beautiful than seeing a teenaged gangsta wetting himself in the back of a police car when he realizes that there’s no juvenile system when arrested under the RICO statute. Yes, we did have one incredibly dumb one return, and in about ten years he’ll be taken back home again. Not a solution, but a great start.

To all of the illegal immigrants,”Don’t go away mad, just go away, nothing personal, just business!” I am looking forward to the days when I won’t have to stand in line at Kroger’s, DMV, Public’s, Walmart or any retail business listening to Spanish being spoken like I”m in Tijuana or somewhere! No more having to go around my subdivision picking up free ENGLISH newspapers delivered door to door being left on the ground by non english readers for days or weeks. No more having to wait on a swing for my daughter to play on at the local park because the Latino kids are playing the keep away game to prevent non Latino children from playing. No more having to be frustrated by the lack of low skill jobs available for the GED candiadates I try to help get placed on ANY kind of job. NO more SPECIAL EDUCATION buses for slow learning ESL children whose parents are not citizens and can’t teach their child english themselves. No more babies running out into the street in soiled diapers in the summer time. No more blaring mariachi music, which really irritates Puerto Ricans and Dominicans. GOOD BYE to the gangs, Los Aztecas. MS-13, Latin Kings and all the rest of the dope dealing, meth making, cocaine selling, marijuana growing scum that has been let into this country to corner the dug market in the guise of being HARD WORKING FAMILY MEN. “What a Croc!” My family has been here for over 200 years and these people have come to the south east and tried to undermine and under price my people out of jobs and credibility while they send billions back to their countries and still reap the benefit of public education with transportation, and health care through the ER. As long as the Americans remain loyal to America who gives a crap about what we shall look like?
I don’t!
If you want to remain loyal to a Spanish ancestry or a Mexican nationality then remain in Mexico. For we Americans have room for but one soul loyalty, and that is loyalty to America and the American people.
We should insist that if the immigrant who comes here does in good faith become an American and assimilates himself to us he shall be treated on an exact equality with every one else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed or birth-place or origin.
But this is predicated upon the man’s becoming in very fact an American and nothing but an American. If he tries to keep segregated with men of his own origin and separated from the rest of America, then he isn’t doing his part as an American. There can be no divided allegiance here… We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language, for we intend to see that the crucible turns our people out as Americans, of American nationality, and not as dwellers in a polyglot boarding-house; and we have room for but one soul loyalty, and that is loyalty to the American people.

First why is it your Anti-American demand that we Americans speak any other language than U.S. English commonly and officially, Copyleft?
Secondly, did it ever once cross your American hating mind that this country the United States of America was founded by English speaking people who established English colonies in the creation of this English charted country?
Thirdly, Copyleft, have you ever read what Jefferson, Adams and Franklin had to say about immigration and which language should be spoken in this country? My beliefs and those of Theodore Roosevelt - the leader of the “Progressive Party” - concur with those held by this nation’s founders and their expressed statements, by the way.
Fourthly, this is the United States of America we are NOT other nations and about 98% of the people, U.S. Citizens and legal immigrants alike choose and recognize U.S. English as the language of the United States of America.
Fifthly, if lamo excuses could count because of what others are doing then there are other nations that have declared English as their official language, even as Mexico has declared Spanish the official language of Mexico.
If you’re home sick to hear Spanish as a Latino, and live in the Spanish culture as a Hispanic then go back to Mexico where they will very gladly accommodate your loyalty, Copyleft.
We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language, for we intend to see that the crucible turns our people out as Americans, of American nationality, and not as dwellers in a polyglot boarding-house; and we have room for but one soul loyalty, and that is loyalty to the American people.

One: Far, far too few have been sent back. We loyal Americans need comprehensive enforcement to reform immigration without giving any form of an amnesty.
Two: You might try the DHS (Department of Homeland Security) Website.
The following excerpt taken from the DHS 2007 Yearbook.
This Office of Immigration Statistics Annual Report presents information on the apprehension, detention, return, and removal of foreign nationals during 2007. In summary:
DHS apprehended nearly 961,000 foreign nationals. Nearly 89 percent were natives of Mexico.
The annual number of foreign nationals apprehended by the Border Patrol decreased by 19 percent compared to 2006.
ICE detained approximately 311,000 foreign nationals.
More than 319,000 aliens were removed from the United States—the fifth consecutive record high. The leading countries of origin of those removed were Mexico (65 percent), Honduras (9 percent) and Guatemala (8 percent).
More than 891,000 other foreign nationals accepted an offer to return to their home countries without a removal order.
Expedited removals accounted for 106,200 or 33 percent of all removals.
DHS removed 99,900 known criminal aliens from the United States.

Jose - I understand a lot about illegals. They come here to America and the first thing they do is have a kid to access our welfare system. They get checks, medicaid and foodstamps for these kids at taxpayers expense while our working poor go to sleep every night hungry. I understand that they work good jobs most of them making 20 plus and do not pay taxes on this money but send it straight over the boarder. I understand they live 5 families to a house and tear up the property. If the toilet stops working they place buckets in corners and use them. When it gets to back they just leave it and go find another place to rent and tear up. I have seen first hand when their neighbors go off to work they hit the streets seeing whats not tied down that they can take, and I for one am sick of it.
I have nothing against immigration but I do have a huge problem with illegals. The difference is this. Immigrants come over the right way, they sign a paper that states they will not accept or rely on public assistance in any way. They pay taxes and sign document after document. They agree to learn our language. Illegals come over, have that kid and run to for public assistance, they dont try to learn English because they simply dont care. They have no values no morals and they stink. Yes they stink. They need to be removed from our land and sent back over to Mexico. They dont belong here and I for one am tired of paying taxes to support them when they pay nothing and fly our American Flag upside down. (see california schools). Its sick and we as Americans deserve to work in our country without having to speak the language of Mexico. This is America and it needs to stay that way.
