Five years of Gwinnett Arena
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Do you remember it like yesterday?
Five years ago The Gwinnett Arena opened with an Arena Football game and since then, stars from Bruce Springsteen to Cirque du Soleil have graced the stage.
In honor of the suburban venue, we’d like to know what’s your favorite Arena memory?

So many memories. As a full season ticket holder for the Gladiators, I have met so many wonderful people and had lots of great times there. I cannot narrow it down to one favorite during the games. But, I did attend the Elton John concert as well as Nickelback twice….it is a great venue for all events!

My favorite memory is when my husband and I went to see R.E.M. and the lead singer Michael Stipe said “BUSH SUCKS” and the whole crowd went wild.

Definately the Springsteen concert, which was also in February’03, about a week after the George Strait concert. (It was not in August as the article states)
We had friends in from NJ and a big tailgate party in the parking lot before the concert. There were traffic helicopters overhead because of the traffic jam for the George Strait concert.
Its a great venue for a concert. We’ve also seen Eric Clapton, Bon Jovi and Bob Dylan there.

Kiss off John. If you want to write about your favorite latin events, go ahead. Just try harder and write well (gooder) next time.

We get all the latin events we can stand by simply driving through Duluth and Buford. If you want comments on latin events go read the outside walls of the businesses in these areas. They are covered with spray paint.

You gotta be kidding me. The lead story across the country is this: http://www.abcnews.go.com/Blotter/story?id=4443788&page=1 and there is NO MENTION of it anywhere on ajc.com. What a bunch of liars this publication is.
