What’s the best advice you got from Dad?

We’d like you to share some of your father’s wisdom.

Was it about raising a family? Relationships? Golf courses?

Also, what parenting trait or traits did you inherit from your pop?

Share your stories. Some may appear in Sunday’s Gwinnett print edition.

When I was a little girl I wanted to be like my father. One day he told me that to grow whiskers like his I would need to put honey on the outside of my face and chicken droppings on the inside. “But Daddy,” I said. “I want to put the honey on the inside.” “Sorry,” he said. “That just won’t work.”
