Name the all-star teams
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The Dec. 21 Gwinnett all-star game has quite the name: Rivalries of Gwinnett All-Star Football Game.
Now the teams, which will split traditional rivals, need names. Former Brookwood coach and game organizer Dave Hunter says he’d welcome suggestions, so give him some of yours.

Sundays paper 5/6/07, had the proposed 2006 teams listed if the All Star format was in place. As usual this paper has a Brookwood bias. Brookwood’s program is very good but last year no real D-1 talent. Yet, TJ Hurless and TJ Greenstone (both D-1 signees) were not included as choices for Hunter’s team. I would hope that the Gwinnett All Star team will rotate head coaches and not allow Brookwood to set the agenda like they do for the Corky Kell Classic and almost every other football organization in the county(i.e. GFL).
It is sad that other programs in the county have consistently produced more D-1 players but everyone is lead to believe that Brookwood is a powerhouse because of placing so many players at Presbyterian and similar club type programs.
Gwinnett owes alot to Brookwood for putting Gwinnett football on the map but now that county has grown Brookwood is not as elite and dominant as it once was unless they are able to finagle the system to their benefit.
It will be interesting to watch the fairness and competitiveness of this All Star Classic.
