Linder catches Gold Mouse
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
We know about the Golden Fleece. We’ve never heard of the Gold Mouse award.
But John Linder, Gwinnett’s GOP congressman, won one last week. The award is for having a really cool Web site.
“Congressman Linder’s Web site shows that he has identified the needs of his various constituencies and has developed easily accessible content that meets their needs online,” stated Beverly Bell, executive director of the Congressional Management Foundation
Linder’s Web site, www.linder.house.gov, was among 615 sites evaluated for The 2006 Gold Mouse Report: Recognizing the Best Web Sites on Capitol Hill.
Linder’s and 17 other sites received Gold Mouse Awards.
“I am certainly proud of this honor because it recognizes the effort that has been undertaken to offer online constituent services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,” Linder said in a statement.

Like all the rest of Georgia’s politicians, their web sites do little to collect information about what the real issues are amongst Georgia’s voters.
Mr. Linder’s site does not mention the issue of illegal immigration, so I guess that it is not very important to Georgia voters. Even if illegal immigrants are causing the deterioration of residential neighborhoods across Metro Georgia. Illegal immigrants are draining the educational resources of our local school districts and causing teachers to spend more time with students who do not speak English. Parents are moving out of neighborhoods in search of better school systems.
Unlicensed and uninsured drivers, many of them illegal immigrants are crowding our highways and raising our uninsured motorist insurance rates. Illegal immigrants now kill more Americans yearly that the number of soldiers killed in Iraq.
Still the federal government does not enforce immigration law.
I guess this is just not important enough for Mr. Linder! Let him know how you feel the next time your in a voting booth.
