Boortz not immune to polling problems

Local radio personality Neal Boortz was among the voters who had problems at the polls.

Before going on the air Tuesday morning, Boortz presented himself at North Atlanta High School, where he voted in 2004, only to be turned away.

After Boortz speculated on his show that someone had perhaps voted after impersonating him, the talk show host clarified the issue for his listeners on WSB 750 AM: He said someone had changed the address on his voter registration - thus changing his polling place - without telling him.

In an e-mail to the AJC, Boortz said he later returned to North Atlanta High, cast a provisional ballot and filled out the paperwork to correct the address problem.
