Duluth residents: What’s your name?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
People who live in Gwinnett are called Gwinnettians.
People who live in Atlanta are called Atlantans.
Mars residents are called Martians.
What should people from Duluth be called?
Duluthans? Dulutherans? Duluthites?
Got any better ideas? Send them here and we’ll post them online.

“Dulutherans”, I don’t think so. That sounds like a reengage branch of Lutherans. (Was there a schism of some sort?)
“Duluthites”, Sounds like a tribe of people from Bible times. (As in the Moabites, the Hittites, and those ‘Duluthites’.)
“Duluthans”, Now that has a nice ring to it and is not too difficult to pronounce. Pretty cool sounding, don’t you agree?
As far as Gwinnettians is concerned: Doesn’t it have an outer space like overtone to it? Like the inhabitants of Gwinnett are from a far galaxy. I suppose we are unique, who would have ever thought that Gwinnett County would transform itself from a farm community into a Southern United Nations? Far out for sure!
What do YOU think? Or is this question just too deep for you?

I always thought it was “Duluthians.” Sounds right to me.

If you buy into Bill Allen’s fun piece this week, often times you’d refer to them as lost.
