Motorcyclist killed in wreck

Gwinnett County police Wednesday were investigating an early-morning wreck that left a motorcyclist dead.
The wreck occurred shortly after 1 a.m. on Pleasant Hill Road at Corley Place near Lawrenceville.
Gwinnett police Cpl. Robert Rude said a 1996 Mazda pickup truck driven by Amin Mecky Auybo turned in front of a Yamaha motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, whose name was being withheld until relatives could be notifed, collided with the pickup. He was ejected, then hit by a BMW, and died at the scene, Rude said.
Auybo was arrested and charged with failure to yield the right of way, possession of an open container and driving under the influence. Rude said investigators expected to also charge him with first degree vehicular homicide.
