Pedestrian hit on Memorial Drive

A pedestrian was critically injured Friday when he was hit by several vehicles in DeKalb County, police said.
DeKalb police dispatchers said the incident happened shortly before 6:30 a.m. on Memorial Drive near Covington Highway.
The name of the person hit was not immediately available.
All lanes of Memorial Drive in both directions remained closed just before 7 a.m., and officials with the state Department of Transportation predicted they could be closed for much of the morning commute.
