Texas man charged with intending to have sex with minor

A 38-year-old Texas man was arrested Tuesday afer he traveled to College Park, intending to have sex with a minor, authorities said.

Kelly Brenton Farley, a regional vice president of a staffing company from McKinney, thought he was talking online with the mother of an 11-year-old, but was actually communicating with an agent with the FBI’s Safe Child Task Force.

He faces federal charges related to traveling across state lines with the intent to have sex with a minor child, FBI Special Agent Stephen Emmett.
