Atlanta police Thursday were trying determine motives for separate Wednesday night shootings that left two men dead.
A 23-year-old man on the porch of a home on Moreland Avenue was critically wounded in a drive-by shooting shortly after 10 p.m., Atlanta police spokesman Steve Coleman said.
The man, whose name was being withheld until relatives could be notified, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died.
Investigators have not released a description of the suspect’s vehicle.
Homicide detectives were also investigating a fatal 6:20 p.m. shooting in the 100 block of Moury Avenue, in a neighborhood off Pryor Street in southwest Atlanta, Coleman said.
The name of the 33-year-old victim was not immediately released. Police have not determined a motive for the shooting.
