Marietta police are investigating the discovery this week of human remains at a Canton Road construction site.
A construction crew clearing property for a new commercial building on Canton Road at Lewis Drive found numerous bones on Tuesday, Marietta police spokesman Casey Camp said.
On Thursday, the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed the bones were human remains, Camp said.
Investigators were continuing to look for additional evidence in the area, which is near Canton Road and Cherokee Street north of downtown Marietta and across across from Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
