Atlanta police are searching for the gunman in Tuesday night’s fatal shooting of a convenience store clerk during a robbery in northwest Atlanta.

Two suspects are in custody, according to Officer Joe Cobb, an Atlanta police spokesman.

A third suspect allegedly went behind the counter at the Shell Station in the 3100 block of Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway near I-285 and shot Zerit Haileslasie several times, at least once in the head, Cobb said.

Haileslasie, 39, of Lilburn died later at Grady Memorial Hospital, Cobb said.

Authorities took a male and female into custody shortly after the 10:45 p.m. robbery, which was captured on surveillance video, Cobb said.
