Suspect pose as police officers during home invasion

Several men, reportedly posing as police officers, took part Tuesday night in a home invasion in which a resident was shot, DeKalb County police said.
Witnesses told police that three to five men went to the residence in the 6500 block of Rock Springs Road wearing black T-shirts with the word “Police” printed on them.
The resident who was shot did not sustain life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police do not know what the motive for the shooting was but are looking for a white Chevrolet Corvette seen leaving the scene.
They also have not been able to confirm whether the suspects were impersonating police, “but if that is the case, we certainly want to get these guys off the streets,” said Officer Herschel Grangent.
