Church vs. garbage facility

Today may be the day a Catholic congregation learns if gabarge facility will open up next door to their church.

Members of The Holy Vietnamese Martyrs’ Mission, which is in an old car dealership near the intersection of I-85 and Beaver Ruin Road, has vehemently opposed the facility. A developer wants to build the garbage transfer station on abandoned property down the road from the church. The 4,000-member church has been there two years.

The Gwinnett County Commission is to vote on the issue during its 2p.m. meeting today. County officials can expect a large turn-out from the congregation; on Sunday, the church held a vigil to draw attention to the issue.

“We’ve got a garbage problem in the county, but you don’t put a transfer station next to a church,” said Archdiocese spokeswoman Patricia Chivers.

Amen.

There will be plenty of garbage for everyone at the transfer station. And to think it all started with just five holes and five rubbishes. Blessed is he who litters, for he shall inherit the landfill.

I know. U get the bit.

We knew it was going to be between Pleasant Hill and the DeKalb county line. It’s not like it’s a Baptist Church. The church membership isn’t really that large so they’er easy to walk over. There isn’t that many votes to worry about.

As our Chairman pointed out in many many words, in a tiny county like Gwinnett without any other areas to be considered, “it’s for the good of the county”.

Funny how the Vietnamese are suddenly concerned about aesthetics when THEIR cherished property is threatened. My experience with many of them in the neighborhood is they let their homes and yards get run down and ignore all requests to improve.

BW: 4,000 people easy to “walk over”? Right. Gwinnett isn’t “tiny” at all, in fact there are over 750,000 people, get your facts straight. And I don’t give a rat whether it’s a Baptist, or a Catholic church, it’s placed in an inappropriate spot. The economics behind their decision (the 3 who voted for) is obviously unapparent, why do you think Nasuti (with a degree in economics) voted against it? You really though building a smelly waste station hovering ABOVE 85 was going to be pleasant? There’s plenty of in-road nothingness in Gwinnett county to build a waste station. It’s all about logistics, get educated.

Mark: Hahaha oh wow, this is the type of ignorance in America that get’s itself hated by other countries. Just because whatever percentage of Vietnamese in your neighborhood are a nuisance to your HOA, you decided to project that across the entire population? You sir, are full of fail.

The area was industrial long before it got “religion.” Take it back to Saigon, Rome or whatever. It was Chevrolet before it was some papist/buddist amalgam.

750,000 doesn’t seem so large. In anycase, there are millions of churches here anyways so what’s the big deal. Churches are just another type of business, can’t they all just get along? Is the preacher afraid he might get a little dirt on his brand new Bentley with gold rims?

Boy, the venom is flowing form many ignorant people here.

The issue is that this was not the correct sie for this transfer station. Gwinnett bought the land across 85 for a park, there are clas A offices right next door to this. The county has a planning and zoning department whoes jobs are to research rezonings and make reccomedations ot the BOC. So the BOC just told them they are idiots and do not know what they are doing by voting against their reccomendations.

This project has the power broker Wayne Mason involved and I guess Bannister, Kenerly and Lasseter were bullied to vote for this.

How do we take back our county from these rhinos?

Mart, another little fact, Bert knows more about garbage than he ever wanted to, his words, not mine. When they wanted to put a transfer station on JCB two yeras ago he studied the issue to the point of visiting one, as he told me he wasn’t very impressed.

You say Bert voted against it for purely economic reasons or was it the the fact he knows, by his own research, the smell, the garbage that blows from the site and the possible rodent problem?

The area below Pleasant Hill will never get any better, last nights vote proved that, the entire area is considered the dump by the majority of commissioners.

It is hard to understand the commission approving this project. A transfer station does not fit in with the other businesses in the area. It is office and light industrial / warehouse space. I have taken classes in one of the buildings over there, I can’t imagine how a waste transfer station fits the zoning. Why do we have a planning board if the commission just ignores their recommendations?

I supported the churches objections and I am happy to know my Commissioner did as well.

The republicans can gloat. This is the peanut butter effect, you know. Obama would have been fine if Cheney hadn’t slipped the Peanut (via Jimmy carter double agent secret service guy) Scare into the mix. If we cant even trust our inner peter pan, then what good are any of us?)

We have an imperfect president. . He seems honest, and that may be his only virtue. . We either support our troops or we dont. Cheney’s no longer our commander in chief.

It will take some getting used to.

The Garbage Transfer station should be located at 75 Langley Dr Lawrenceville, GA . After all, look at all the garbage coming out of the County Commission members mouths. Nice central location too. Or how about Chateau Elan. Plenty of room there!

Practically all of the ethnic groups in the United States are traitors to their God and their native land; the Koreans, Cubans, Vietnamese, Africans, etc. The only group in the United States that held a noble and honorable position in this country was the Negroes. You know the history, the Negroes were captured and or sold into slavery by those in their native land to the Europeans…But subsequently, most Negroes were set free by Abraham Lincoln without the necessities of life, food, clothing, shelter, education, and employment. It was tantamount to freedom and famine at the same time.

As a result, freedom proved to be too difficult for the Negroes. Facing a dismal outlook on life over the years, the integrationist Negroes, or the natural born uncle toms, sought to re-enslave their own people via integration. According to the Bible, Moses and the children of Israel departed Egypt by the power of God. And while in the wilderness, time and time again, the children of Israel partitioned Moses to take them back into slavery, Egypt. With minimal food, shelter, clothing, water, and employment to sustain their lives, in their minds, they thought Moses had brought them into the wilderness, freedom, to die. Freedom was too difficult after being enslaved for too long. They said, Moses, when we were in Egypt, slavery, we ate until we were full at the fleshpots of Pharaoh.

Civil rights activists from groups that many black people consider traitors, the NAACP, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, and the National Action Network said that the decision of a College Park recycling company, Stephens MDS, to dig up the graves — some possibly the resting place for slaves dating back to the 1800s — and rebury them in a Riverdale cemetery is based on racism and greed. These integrationist groups pretend to have some honorable connection to Negroes dead and buried prior to integration. It’s just another gimmick played on the man made simple minded Negroes of today for the purpose of acquiring their blind loyalty. The dead and buried men and women should wish to be dug up and their bones used to beat the heads of the integrationist Negroes and their children. And it was the Clayton County Commission, composed mostly of integrationist Negroes and mongrels who voted to give a permit to the College Park recycling company, Stephens MDS, to relocate 311 African-American graves to boot.

The Holy Vietnamese Martyrs’ Mission, a 4,000-member church, is opposed to a developer building a garbage transfer station on abandoned property down the road from the church. They are Christians but have sinned against God and the people in their native land. In the Vietnamese war, they sided with South Vietnam, the United States, against North Vietnam and China in the conflict. Like the integrationist Negroes, they too have danced with the devil and now it’s time for them and their children to suffer the consequences of their treachery. It’s just chickens coming home to roost.

Lets’ recap:

A close old friend of Bannister’s, developer J. C. White, happens to stand to make a huge profit from this deal.

Lasster is basically a Bannister flunky. Note that she recently made a casino junket to Mississippi on a private jet, courtesy of another developer.

Kenerly - pure sleaze, perfers Las Vegas casinos to Mississippi.

The current landfill is already near capacity, and a replacement has not been designated. Between that and the still unsettled trash pickup fiasco, NOBOBY can possibly know where the best location for a transfer station is. Any guesses of how many sites were reviewed for this? Hint - less than two.

Go to YouTube and search for WORKING TRASH TRANSFER STATION - check out some of the videos. Usually these are 24/7 operations on MUCH larger parcels than this.

Just under the surface, most of the conditions specified by Lasseter were outright deception. My favorite is the no unloading on Sundays. There is no trash pickup on Sundays, so none of the little trucks would need to unload anyway. No mention of a ban on the actual transfer trucks (which hold about 8 loads of the small ones) being LOADED to clear the way for Monday.

The 80 trucks a day promise refers to the transfer trucks - 80 times 8 little ones plus the 80 is 720 trucks a day. Good luck on any speedy commutes near that part of I-85.

I’ll take the federal detention center promised by Lasseter before I’ll take the trash transfer station next door to me, any day.

This whole deal stinks worse than the garbage itself. Regrettably, the taxpayers will shoulder the burden of the blunders of our sleazy commissioners just as they are with the trash pickup scam. This one will also be a very expensive court ordeal - a large segment of the Catholic Church is rightfully rallying behind this. I’ve visited the place, and these wonderful kind hearted folks have created a beautiful sanctuary that deserves better.

BW: Hahah sorry, the internet doesn’t translate text into sarcasm very well.

I’m still floored over why they would have approved the station. Don’t they know the economic obsolescence and negative externalities this would cause? Why wouldn’t they want to attract future business propects and potential tax income? Why wouldn’t you want to reserve the prime area around an 85 exit for better commerce like Steve Reynolds or Pleasanthill?

And also, I’d rather have more people\commerce in that particular area so I could collect the tax revenue from the things they purchase, not make decisions to negate it. To me, it seems like some of the commissioners are sacrificing the long term benefits for the short sale. Sad times.

You gotta call’em the way you see’em, nana: And did you ever make the right call on this nut-job Charles!

I never put any faith in evolution as the cause of creation before coming across Charles. But Charles tempts me greatly to believe he is the long sought after “MISSING LINK” the evolutionist have claimed exist. Man, is Charles ever a sick twist.

Yeah, you’re rolling alright Charles, I just can’t say what’s in that stuff you’re rolling but it’s definitely a hallucinogen. What a laugh you are when you’re tripping-out on that junk you’re “rolling”.

Get a load of this piece from Charles, readers:

The Holy Vietnamese Martyrs’ Mission, a 4,000-member church, is opposed to a developer building a garbage transfer station on abandoned property down the road from the church. They are Christians but have sinned against God and the people in their native land. In the Vietnamese war, they sided with South Vietnam, the United States, against North Vietnam and China in the conflict. Like the integrationist Negroes, they too have danced with the devil and now it’s time for them and their children to suffer the consequences of their treachery. It’s just chickens coming home to roost.

Charles the MISSING LINK has determined these church members have sinned against God and all their misfortune in this trash transfer event is due to God’s judgment. Uh… Charles, apart from being just plain stupid, which is understandable for a knuckle-dragger for like you, did it ever once cross that empty space between your ears - if you actually have ears - that perhaps this trash transfer event is purely a result of “divine providence” with respects to God.

Take it easy Charles the MISSING LINK, “providence” is a big fifty cent word. I mean, I don’t want to overload whatever it is you use for a brain but being a real Christian as you claim and all, one would think you would at least understand what is meant by “divine providence” and how the providence of God works in all things to serve his purpose and glory, like so many other children in Sunday School have long since grasp.

As it is written: Mathew 5:45

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

This trash transfer deal is not likely a divine judgment from God on anyone, it is most likely just another bad judgment made by the B.o.C. .

As much as I would truly like to continue revealing Charles the MISSING LINK for the big dumb phony he really is and just how illiterate he is in matters of the Christian faith and Judaeo-Christian Theology to readers of this blog, my time is limited at the moment and it is going to be a long work day ahead.

PS. Oh and BW, don’t try to explain to Charles the MISSING LINK how God has things set on a sort of auto-pilot. Charles the MISSING LINK doesn’t understand providence or predestination. I think he skips Sunday school to “go rolling”. :)

More later if Rick leaves this one up.

No, don’t worry BW, we are probably both fine and remain the two very separate distinct persons we’ve always known ourselves to be. Charles on the other hand is one more screwed-up bird.

BTW, Charles the foolish one just flunked Judeo–Christian Theology, as I told him he would.

Another reason is to demonstrate primarily to African Americans and others that it is essential “to find God” in this evil world.

Man [Mankind] “cannot find God”, for God is not lost, never has been, never will be.

We have read the position on finding God according to Michael H. Smith, the clay. Now let’s hear the position of the potter, the king of kings and the Lord of Lords: Jeremiah 29:10-14 For thus saith the LORD, that after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD:

In most of his posts, Michael H. Smith and his aliases are focusing too much on sullying the good Christian name of “Charles”, The Original instead of defending a position.

You make the call.

I’ll talk to everyone after putting in my forty eight hours today; God willing.

Biblical archeologists have determined that the sight of the miracle of the loaves and fishes, which must have created quite a lot of refuse, ( after all, there were “multitudes” of folks picnicking) , is actually now a landfill and it’s thought that if they drill down about 2000 feet they can actually pull up some of the remains of that blessed day.

This would be a greater than if they found the Ark.

Of course the bible sez that they picked up after themselves and there were many baskets of fish and loaves left. But then you have to ask, “What if Jesus gave the responsibility to Judas to properly dispose of the leftovers?”

Judas would have just waited until everyone cleared out and then surreptitiously dumped the leftovers behind a rock or something right there where the sermon on the mound was given. Maybe it wasn’t a mound until judas illegally dumped the baskets there. I know I woulda done that too, and in this economy? 30 pieces of silver sounds pretty good to turn in a terrorist of the roman state. Judas is me and you and all of us, man.

The more we find out about the bible, the more it seems true.

No hardily Charles the MISSING LINK. Go back and read my final post. In fact, that is if you can you big phony read the third chapter of Romans. It reveals your false statement concerning, “to find God”.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God

Uh… that means you too MISSING LINK

Does man ever seek “to find God”?

Romans 3: 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

3:11 There is none that understandeth,“there is none that seeketh after God.”

God’s grace finds man. It is not the other way around, Charles the MISSING LINK.

Charles you MISSING LINK you have sullied yourself and your false statements reveal you as a phony crackpot.

Well bless you, Michael!

never quote scripture. Say what you think is righteous in your own words, the way christ did. That’s the message christ tried to tell us.

Let us know what god means to you, not what you think he’s supposed to mean to me.
