Agreed. Now I’m going back to my TV set to join with all the other “integration minded people” of our country to welcome the historic moment.

Boring speech by Obama after he flubbed the Oath of Office.
Then Rev. Lowry gave a racist speech “Where white will do what’s right”.
Has the Obama buyer’s remorse set in yet?

BW,
White man always keepin’ da black man down. Always can blame problems on Whitey.
Just like the Rev “White ain’t doin’ right” Lowry and Barack “White Folk’s Greed Runs A World In Need” Hussein Obama.
I’m sure Brucie would have been as forgiving to George Bush.

Inauguration Day, with its pomp, tradition and formality, is a “beautiful day,” indeed.
But Rick, if you didn’t describe a January day eight years ago with the same words, your words today mean nothing.
But they say everything.
`Nuff said.

Poor Brucie,
So delusional he refuses to believe his demigod Obama could possible screw up the Oath of Office.
Initially, Obama interrupted Roberts midway through the opening line, in which the president repeats his name and solemnly swears.
I guess Brucie had a mouthful of illegal mexican chorizo and wasn’t listening carefully enough.

Is anyone surprised that Barack Hussein Obama is already extending his hand to the Muslim world?
It’s becoming apparent what an amateur NObama really is. Let the buyers remorse set in.

Pastor Rick Warren, the keynote speaker at the Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Service, seems to get it. He said in substance …we are not bound together by blood as some would have it, but by our common commitment to freedom and justice. …And he urged a crowd of wealthy, elitist, rich, influential, and famous to follow Martin Luther King’s example of service and selflessness to help the poor and the needy. Pastor Warren Please! In their eyes, we are dealing with a zero sum policy here. There is a hundred and eighty degree difference in the thinking of Martin Luther King Jr. and his betrayers.
But better yet, the more I see of Dexter King, the son of Martin Luther King Jr., the more I want to see and hear from him. By his conspicuous absence at the Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Service and the Inauguration, he demonstrated to thinking people in my circle that he refuses absolutely to negatively exploit the name of Martin Luther King Jr. by commemorating with those who betrayed his father in Atlanta Georgia or Washington D. C.
Sometimes a conspicuous absence speaks louder than the timely words of a Keynote speaker. You make the call.

Rick et.al. Did MLK believe that all people should be judged by the content of their character or was he only speaking for black people? I have yet to hear what character defenders of Obama have seen in him. Apparently, he is merely a symbol of the struggle through the years. If you have read any of MLK, he, himself, would not be interested in this fella leading America.

Mom,
Expecting Blubbering Badie to put effort into a column is like expecting him to be a journalist. It ain’t gonna happen.
Since the AJC is losing 1 million per day, is it any surprise they hire third rate hacks like Badie to blog?
Now, real news from Gwinnett.
Gwinnett Illegal Immigrant News:
*BUFORD - Police arrested a Buford father Tuesday after his 17-month-old daughter tested positive for methamphetamine, authorities said. *
*Heriberto Benitez-Perez, 28, faces charges of cruelty to children in the third degree and possession of a controlled substance. *
Badie, was this “undocumented worker” just handing out the meth to children that Americans were to lazy to hand out?
Can’t wait for the next Blubbering Badie Human Trumpet article. OR something of a similar caliber.

For the Bonehard LT. read on Missy…
http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/pihtml/pioaths.html
Each president recites the following oath, in accordance with Article II, Section I of the U.S. Constitution:
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
As Obama and Chief Justice John G. Roberts recited the Oath of office on 20 January 2009, Roberts forgot to pause after the first sentence, causing Obama to interrupt Roberts as he administered the oath. Roberts then incorrectly recited the Oath, stating, “That I will … execute the Office of President to the United States faithfully”. As Obama began to recite the second line, he paused, whereby Roberts attempted to correct his mistake, but still inverted the oath’s word order, reciting the word “faithfully” out of its correct place. Obama then repeated Roberts’ line word for word, including the misplaced “faithfully.”[4] Several constitutional lawyers have said that Obama should retake the oath as soon as possible, as Calvin Coolidge and Chester A. Arthur did under similar circumstances.[5]
Another incongruous situation in regard to this oath was that, as mentioned above, President Obama became president at precisely 12 pm,[6] and this oath was administered at 12:04.[7] Therefore, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. used the wrong title in addressing Obama, when he asked him, “Are you prepared to take the oath, senator?”[8]

LT5000 I suggest that you watch it again, this time knowing in which order phrases of the oath is well known. Obama is a much better speaker than Roberts, who didn’t know the order of wording. You can see Obama hesitate, because the oath was being delivered to him wrong. The proof is at the end, when Roberts finally realizes that he was wording it wrong as Obama continued it correctly.

Did anyone ever explore the thought that the “flub” may have been intended? (it was rehearsed, after all). Perhaps Obama had no intention of vowing to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States”? And did anyone consider how the media would have handled that “flub” if it had been committed by a say… white President Elect? Just wondering….

Moot point. Case closed
Obama takes presidential oath again after stumble
WASHINGTON — After the flub heard around the world, President Barack Obama has taken the oath of office. Again. Chief Justice John Roberts delivered the oath to Obama on Wednesday night at the White House — a rare do-over. The surprise moment came in response to Tuesday’s much-noticed stumble, when Roberts got the words of the oath a little off, which prompted Obama to do so, too.
Don’t worry, the White House says: Obama has still been president since noon on Inauguration Day.
Obama takes presidential oath again after stumble
Nevertheless, Obama and Roberts went through the drill again out of what White House counsel Greg Craig called “an abundance of caution.”
This time, the scene was the White House Map Room in front of a small group of reporters, not the Capitol platform before the whole watching world.
“We decided that because it was so much fun …,” Obama joked to reporters who followed press secretary Robert Gibbs into the room. No TV camera crews or news photographers were allowed in. A few of Obama’s closest aides were there, along with a White House photographer.
Roberts put on his black robe.
“Are you ready to take the oath?” he said.
“Yes, I am,” Obama said. “And we’re going to do it very slowly.”
Roberts then led Obama through the oath without any missteps.

PMan, Obama was already President by the time Roberts tried to give the oath, he begcame President at high noon oath or not.
Each president recites the following oath, in accordance with Article II, Section I of the U.S. Constitution:
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
No they don’t write their own, it cannot be changed, even by a bunbling Chief Justice.
So wonder no more.

I thought Obama alreay used up his “do-over” when he lied about his staff not having contact with Gov. Blago.
I guess this was affirmative action in effect after he flubbed up the Oath the first time.

“At the staff swearing-in, Vice President Joe Biden took a jab at Chief Justice John G. Roberts, who had a day earlier fumbled the wording of Obama’s oath of office while administering it. Biden asked for the text to administer the staff oath, saying, “My memory is not as good as Justice Roberts,” to which the staffers replied, “Ooh!”

I have watched the oath on the news and seems to be that first Obama interrupted the Justice, then the Justice stated the oath in the wrong word order. So it’s kind of like comparing “potato” “potato”.
I don’t think that you can take what Biden said in the staff swearing in as “fact”. it’s obvious he’s going to deflect if off of Obama. I did notice that Obama did not think Biden’s “jab” was funny. Biden is going to be a problem, no doubt. I think Obama could have done a much better job picking someone else as VP.

Who gives a sh** who messed up. They went back and re-administered the damn Oath. You people (black, white, red, yellow, green and purple) are very childish and immature. All of this going back and forth is STUPID to say the least. We have bigger problems in this world than who messed up on the Oath of office!! Its not going to stop job loss or reduce the unemployment rate, help people that are losing their homes and jobs all in the same week. Stop all of this bickering and lets come up with some solutions. We are all at the bottom of the barrel right now, whether you choose to admit it or not, stop acting like CRABS- and let’s act like a chain, linking arm in arm, and helping each other out. For those that say they want racism to end including Joseph Lowery, will have to let go of the past, stop expecting me, my family, the government or whomever to pay the penalty for someone else’s actions, and move on. It happened, you can’t go back and change it, and saying sorry is not going to change anything. It will not bring your ancestors back, it will not change the fact that they were beaten, raped, hung, whatever. What it should do is inspire you to be a better person, work hard within your homes, church, community, schools, educating your children ensuring that history will not repeat itself. History is just that, HISTORY. Yes, we all must know and understand where we came from and how we came to be, but its time we got UNSTUCK!!! You can’t move forward as long as your feet are firmly planted in the past. You can’t expect change if you are not open to change. If black people expect white people to change, then black people need to be the change they want to see, and white people need to be the change they want to see.
