“Paranormal State”

“Asthma.”

The word, or something related to it, popped into his head.

We met for the first time three years ago. Chip Coffey and I. He’s a psychic. Maybe it’s genetic. He’s the great-great grandson of Minnie Sue Morrow Foster, the Native American medicine woman and shaman.

Coffey, of Lilburn, criss-crosses the country, attending conferences, lecturing, giving presentations and readings - putting what he calls God-given gifts as psychic, medium, spiritual counselor and parapsychologist to good use. Helping others.

On Monday night, his talents will be put on a national stage. Coffey, 53, is featured in “Paranormal State,” a series on the A&E Network that debuts at 10 p.m. with 30-minute, back-to-back episodes. The show chronicles cases of the Paranormal Research Society, a group started by a Penn State University student to investigate inexplicable incidents.

When the series needed a psychic, Coffey’s name surfaced. He received a phone call back in January. A couple days later, he was on a flight to Pennsylvania to join a case. He filmed nine of 20 episodes, and appears in the second one that airs Monday night.

“I’m a very big skeptic when it comes to psychics,” said Ryan Buell, the society’s director and founder, who plays a central role in the series. “Chip read things and gave me information [on cases] that I can’t explain how he got it.”

In the past, Coffey has passed on projects that could have garnered him exposure, but lacked purpose. Had that been the case with “Paranormal State,” he says he wouldn’t have signed on.

Initially, the show’s goal was to find evidence of paranormals. Nothing more. The people who appear in the episodes needed more than that, though, said Buell. They needed help to get rid of demons, negative spirits, strange entities - call them what you want. Families who appear on the show also receive free counseling and therapy.

For Coffey, that was a selling point.

“Chip cares about the families,” Buell said. “He’s very conscious about the information he tells a family. He doesn’t just show up on the episodes wanting to be ‘a psychic.’ His psychic abilities are just another part of him. He wants to be responsible.”

And to do God’s work.

“I make no apologies because I earn a living doing what I do,” said Coffey, who also does private readings. “I feel honored and blessed to be doing God’s work, to help others. The show really focuses on the family. The family is not left adrift. If I can bring healing peace, and comfort to one person or family, what can be better than that?”

Coffey and I recently met in the same coffeehouse that we’d chatted in three years ago. At the end of that first interview, he’d gotten a reading, hint, inclination, something, related to asthma. I didn’t say so at the time, but Charlie, my brother, died from an attack in February 2004.

I told Coffey this last week. Charlie, Coffey told me, wanted me to know that he and mom are together, and that they are doing just fine.

You know Jais if the A&E Network had a show on the Biggest Most Ignorant A** I have a feeling you would win hands down.

I’ll be sure to catch the show, sounds like it could be interesting, some people are just afraid of things that cannot be explained simply and/or by pictures.

I bet that Chip Coffey makes a far better living than the troll above.

It’s interesting to me that psychics believe that they ability to see things is “God given” especially when every statement in the bible concerning psychic abilities and attempting to communicate with the dead is negative.

The Bible teaches that, first of all, there are no such things as ghosts, because when a man dies he goes to another plane will not return to the earth again. There are also stories in the Bible that teach that “spirits” are simply demons masquerading as something else and that “Psychics, seers, fortunetellers, etc.” who claim to have “spirit guides” or “psychic abilities” are simply being misled and used by demons.

The Bible cautions us not to attempt to communicate with spirits or the dead for a reason. The reason is because we are opening a doorway and issuing an open invitation for beings that mean to do us harm and cause us much misery. My fear in this huge rise in popularity of the “paranormal” is that many thousands of inexperienced people including young people are going to be influenced to expose themselves to dangerous situations for which they have little or no experience or ability to protect themselves. The results can be catastrophic and I cannot believe that God would have any reason to give anyone “psychic powers”. Only the “great deceiver” would have any motivation to do something like this.

I know many people laugh at this type of thing and do not take it seriously. It’s deadly serious and not something to play with. I hope that anyone who is fascinated with this type of thing knows what they are getting into, but I seriously doubt that most of them do.

Actually Duke, the song was “I yes, I’m the great pretender” and it was on the charts in 1955.

Nope, I don’t burn books of any kind and I don’t judge people who dabble in this stuff although I do fear for them just like I would fear for anyone who plays with fire.

This is what the Bible has to say about the subject. I’m merely posting it as information. It’s my belief and my point of view on the subject. Take it as you will.

Thanks so much for your kind words, Rick. The article is terrific.

And a quick note to those who profess to know what God is thinking/feeling and, therefore, choose The Bible as their “weapon of choice”: it also says in The Good Book that we may own or sell slaves (Leviticus 25:44-45), kill our neighbors for working on the sabbath (Exodus 35:2) and sacrifice animals (Leviticus 1:9), but not cut our hair or the corners of our beards (Leviticus 19:27), touch the skin of a dead pig (Leviticus 11: 6-8), eat shellfish (Leviticus 11:10), plant two different crops in the same field or wear clothing made from two different fibers (Leviticus 19:19).

One last thing: I’d like to remind everyone to “Judge not that ye be not judged” (Matthew 7:1).

Merry Christmas to all …

Rick, while I have enjoyed reading your columns, I do believe you’ve been conned by something called a “cold reading” a fairly common magician’s trick. With a bit of practice, it can be done by just about anyone with a bit of knowledge and showmanship. Your own column gives a wonderful description of how it works:

“The word, or something related to it, popped into his head…..

At the end of that first interview, he’d gotten a reading, hint, inclination, something, related to asthma. I didn’t say so at the time, but Charlie, my brother, died from an attack in February 2004.”

First off, I’d guess that Mr. Coffey is a fairly intelligent, reasonably well-educated person. If so, he’d most likely know that the incidence of asthma in African Americans is four to six times that among Caucasians, so having “asthma” pop into his head while talking with a black person isn’t much of an insight, no more so than “heart” or “heart attack” might be.

Notice that what he did not tell you was that the asthma he “sensed” had to do with your brother and that it had caused his death. That only came after you told him that it was your brother did he offer “Charlie, Coffey told me, wanted me to know that he and mom are together, and that they are doing just fine.”

Mr. Coffey would have claimed success if you had mentioned a cousin, friend or just about anyone else and offered the same type of comments and you still would have believed him.

Why not take some of your working time to investigate some of these frauds, including how they operate to dupe people, and let that be another column. Here’s a good place to start:

Have you ever noticed how disfuntional these psychics are? They are people that can’t handle the responsibility of a real job so they have to make one up. Oooh, a ghost lives here, please… If psychics were real they would find Osama, all missing children, and would be rich from picking the correct lottery numbers. They can’t do that. They are scammers, plain and simple.

Chip:

I’d just like to point out that the references you quoted from the Bible are all Old Testament references, except of course, the one from Matthew.

As anyone, Christian or otherwise, with actual knowledge of the Bible would know, we no longer live under Old Testament rule. The Old Testament is the history behind the New Testament. It’s Judaic law. The New Testament is what we live by today. Love your Neighbor, etc.

So, no…no killing anybody on the Sabbath, or owning slaves. No having to worry about how we plant our crops, or cut our beards.

Its complete ignorance to think the Bible condones such behavior. And, if you’re just trying to make the Bible look foolish or silly, there are far more effective ways to go about it.

And Sandy:

I think that the Bible, DOES in fact, say that there are ghosts. This is just my interpretation, but:

Luke 24:36-38 They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost.

Mark 6:48-50 but when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost.

Matthew 14:25-27 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.

Those are obviously the reactions of the disciples after seeing Christ walk on water. However, the following words came directly from the mouth of Jesus:

Luke 24:38-40 Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”

I just kinda think that if ghosts didn’t exist, Christ would have admonished the disciples…Kinda like, “Hey dummies…ghosts aren’t real!” I also don’t think he himself would have referred to a “ghost” as an actual being.

And, none of this is to say that I think “ghost hunting,” etc, isn’t a big deal. On the whole, I pretty much agreed with your post.

Have a good one! ~ Kelly

“Anomalous cognition” and “remote viewing” are two other terms given to ESP phenomena.

Our military and intelligence services have been researching and using remote viewing since the 1970s.

It seems to be just a different kind of perception, like instincts, intution and “gut feelings.”

For more information, see the article: “Amazing enhanced human perception abilities are emerging, say researchers” (AmericanChronicle.com, February 8, 2007)

Katie, you must live a very hateful life.It seems like everything you touch or say turns to guess what.If you don’t believe in God then that’s your belief, but to belittle someone because you just walked out of a cave, eating raw meat along with Mark is typical of people who did’nt have friends when they were little, and had parents who did’nt teach them about life in a positive manner.I could go on and on,but i was always told to be concerned about the ignorant and forgive them for their shortcomings in life. You and Mark wl remember the words that you have written, and don’t cry out for God when your day comes.Another thing,as far as finding missing children, finding osama bin ladin,or picking the right lottery number is concerned,if parents teach their children the dangers of the streets or displine them the way they should be displined instead of “time out” then we may not have such a big problem with missing children, blame society on that for the “can’t displine your child your way law”.blame your gov for not finding osama,my theory is “if you hide something you should be able to find it,picking the right lottery number is like life, when it’s your time then you gots to go.So stop being dumb and wake up to reality and if you keep agreeing with Mark who always has his head up his butt then you are a follower of a weak man.You both need to sit down and just face each other and say we’re lifes losers because we were misguided, and mistreated as children, then again maybe you both are still children.Mr.Badie is doing his job,why don’t you and the whinner Mark go out and try his job.Oops sorry, you need a brain, and compassion for others. My bag.Have another miserable day,the both of you.”Airborne”

As one of the early Dunwegians of Chamblee-Dunwoody Road I sure miss Hot Lanta from time to time. It Seems as if Mr. Badie has meet what he considers a “Psychic”.
For the longest time I was not sure myself, however, I have met folks that had an uncanny sixth or seventh sense of awareness. Just incredible information not gleened from me or prior knowledge an event. Now that I’m living in Orlando, a near-by city is the center of “psychics and mind readers, spiritual fortune tellings etc.. The City of Cassadage FL. Google it for further info.. If you ever run into one of these individuals ask them to identify a passed(died) person and if that person can see or speak with Jesus Christ, God the Father or God the Holy spirit? It’s a direct answer yes or no. Second question is can you see Hell and souls Suffering? The answer will be yes or no. Then describe where he is and what that entity does there! Any evasive answer will prove them a fraud.

Persons who can pick up images or energies around a crime scene or missing persons are very special indeed. They don’t use spirit guides. Some people can see events, feel fears, pain, suffering when associated with sorrow. These folks are not frauds in my opinion. We have two famous women who are used by police investigations nation wide to help find clues in cold cases.

If this psychic is good ask him to contact Natalie Holloway and find out where she is and what happened. Give the parent of this girl some closure.

The Good Book is indeed GOOD. Reference the New Testament which brought a new attitude to religion. The Old Testament is just a history of what brought about the New Testament and Jesus Christ )Blessed be his Name). Meanwhile, the Koran was a backward step in the development of religion. Muhammed (Unblessed be his name).

I thought the show was pretty weak. It seemed too scripted or at least presented in a way to make it more exciting than it really was. I kept thinking how the voice overs were just like video game voice overs…very ineffective and distracting technique to try to make the show more entertaining. Also, why not show the EVP or video captures at the end, or when they happen? Seemed like when the show was over, it was really just beginning. Why not show us the evidence that support their claims? I’m not comparing this show to Ghost Hunters like someone else eluded that someone else did. I have believed in the paranormal my whole life and I’ve also been a paranormal researcher (call it ghost hunter if you will) for about 14 years. I’ve never known i was going to find anything like the show eluded to…when they said it was coming up on “Dead Time” (what a silly attempt at a dramatic name for seance) and they would soon be confronted with or make contact with whoever or whatever was in the houses. Paranormal Researches never know what to expect and also know they probably wont get anything but hope to. Ghosts/spirits, call them what you will, are not predictable nor are they obligated to appear just becasue they’re called. The tie in to religion with house cleanings and holy water…that only shows a closed mind to me. Ghosts/spirits have no dependency or anything to do with religion. and this little side show they’re setting up between the leader and his demonic friend following him around…and he wont say the demons name as it’ll cause some apocolyptical event to occurr. How silly. Just something else to try to make people tune in again. My advice to people that have not watched yet: dont waste your time, especially if you have your own paranormal background, unless you are in to the religous aspect of the paranormal and dont need to see the “evidence” of their investigations.

Some are fakes? How about “all”? Anyway, there’s a million dollar prize just waiting for anyone who can demonstrate paranormal powers. The bucks have been on the table for years, but nobody has claimed it. Some people may be more perceptive or observant than others, but that hardly makes them “psychic”.

I’m just hoping some of the religious “scholars” who have commented on here could answer something for me. The Catholic Church has declared several apparitions of the Virgin Mary as miracles. (See Miracles at Lourdes) Now, according to the Bible, Mary was a human woman. How is it then, if the Bible says that ghosts don’t exist, that she appears to humans in this world? As was stated before, when people die, their spirit goes to Heaven and cannot return to earth…so is it just that God gives Mary a special day pass? Does He do this for every spirit in Heaven or does Mary get special consideration since God impregnanted her?

Or is it the Devil projecting an image of Mary to dupe us humans? If so then why are these apparitions declared miracles by the Church? Surely the cardinals and priests know the Devil when they see him, right? After all, is the Devil not the one who has been leading them into the pants of little boys around the world?

We might all do well to remember that the Bible is a book filled with talking animals, zombies, reptiles and amphibians raining from the sky, evil demons performing trickery and “angels” appearing to dictate the Word of an omnipotent spirit. I’d say that book sounds way more unbelievable than someone who is able to pick up on the turbulent emotions projected by human beings.

Animals can do it, I don’t see why us humans can’t.

There is one man that has continually impressd me by the name of Brian Ladd. Hi, I went through a demonic haunting three years ago that lasted 2 1/2 years. I am unfortunately a medium by birth, but don’t work as one. I have seen spirits, ghosts all my life. I have never known anything else. Our haunting started when my sister committed suicide and a woman who practiced the black arts became my neigbor-not a good trio at all. I was punched, slapped, pushed down hallways, scratched, had my hair pulled, pushed up against walls. Heard horrible profanity-our whole house reeked of sulfur.Had a heart attack at 38 due to all the stress. It ended when the Catholic Church finally performed a mass in our home. It ended that day. I still see the spirits, but not the black masses flying around and horrible feelings of hatred that took place during our ordeal. I watched the show and could relate to a lot of what I saw. Is the group for real? I can only say that they seem authentic and I am glad they do have a demonologist working with them-they are playing with fire-but someone needs to help terrified families…believe me I have been there-so until you walk a mile.

As our world becomes darker this type of haunting will become more common. Ghosts are a little different-sometimes they just want someone to acknowledge their existence-then they can leave. Where they go and how it all comes together in the afterlife I don’t know. I have always felt that there are many planes of existence and am more inclined to believe that String Theory-Quantum Physics will be able to explain most of what is going on with respect to these interdimensional beings. Although I am a medium most of my formal intellectual development has been in mathematics and science therefore I am scientific in my approach to things. Having said that I think we as human beings understand only a fraction of the paranormal. We have only recently started to really study the brain-another mystery within our world. Maybe instead of bickering about the Bible, which does have a place in the spiritual realm, we should come together with our beliefs and stories and try and put the pieces of this puzzles together. Just a thought.

It doesn’t matter if you believe me or not-what I went through happened. It’s not something to joke about at all. How can you discount another’s story? What right really do you have? Just because something cannot be proven by science doe not mean that is doesn’t exist. The symbols and name we give these beings and experiences are just so that we as human beings can try to begin to understand their role in our universe. I think everyone should be allowed to express their viewpoint without fear of ridicule. Very narrow minded people frequently operate from a standpoint of fear due to ignorance. Having an open and skeptical mind is really the best way to approach the paranormal. Kate

Airbourne, leave Mark alone. Mark leave Airbourne alone. It sounds like you both are miserable and have nothing to do but critcize. Why are you all so mean to each other?? If you ask me, this is what is wrong with America. Look at all the hate on this page. Since most of you on this site don’t believe, I want to know what you do believe in. And aren’t spirits lost souls, searching to get home, where-ever that may be.Some good, some bad. Why do we tell our children that if they are bad they are going to hell? So if they mess up, do they think they are doomed from the beginning and there is no return. But why did god make it so easy for forgiveness? You kill someone but ask to be forgiven and everything is okay. It just doesnt make sense to me. Having a 6th sense makes more sense.

Airborne and Kate,

You want to know what I believe in? Myself. Not some magical man in the sky, or some shadows in the night. People who believe in such idiocy have no faith in themselves, so they hide behind entities that don’t exist. Kinda like retards do. Grow up.

Hello, Once again I must reiterate that simply denying and/or ignoring paranormal experiences will not help us understand or conceptualize them. Often, when someone responds with hosility to someones story of paranormal events they come from a place of pain, or learned ignorance. I do not hold the Bible in a literate form, I am not a practicing Catholic as I was growing up. I think the Bible can be seen as a guide and a historical document and does provide a foundation for those who choose to practice Christianity. For me to attack those who have found something that sustains them in this uncertain world seems absurd. As a medium from birth I don’t know any other way of life. It is a road that I would not wish on even my worst enemy(although I don’t think I have any). It has made my existence extremely hard-frightening at times. I don’t claim to know exactly what these beings or energies want. But I think each person has to do what is right for them. Hurtful words and personal attacks are just the sort of thing that we need less of in this world. People who are afraid are taught to be afraid. Me think the protests too much!!! I was told that you are what is known on the boards as a “flamer” someone who likes to incite anger and fighting-well I wont go there because I know better. True rationality and logic come from compiling all of the known facts-I have much more facts than you my friend…it’s fine to believe in yourself-self interest is healthy-but to claim that you have all the knowledge known to man is an absurdity and very egomaniacal. Retarded people their condition due to genetics-how hurtful and sad that you use them to make your point. Another sign of ignorance and why the spirits probably stay away-you seem very angry and mean. But it’s not too late for you to change things. Being hateful and rude is no way to go through life.

To Kate,i know it’s hard to ignore the responses of a person that has no back-bone, lets just ignore the weak and the kind of people that mark represents. When you ignore a child, they learn about life on there own.So stay positive, mark loves attention, because he had no proper upbringing,it’s a sign of a dysfuntional family. You don’t have to explain anything to mark.”Airborne”

I love all shows paranormal but I can barely stand to watch Paranormal State. It is sooo cheesey. I find the recorded notes especially annoying. These people seem like they are just playing around and there is nothing scientific about it. At least Ghost Hunters on SciFi try and debunk most things.

Thanks to all of our brave military folks who help keep this country free. Anyone can mispell a word-I do it all the time and I’m a writer by trade. Besides, incorrect spelling doesn’t have anything to do with whether or not someone has had a paranormal experience. I am reading a book that talks about psychic ability as being something that is naturally within all of us-and I am inclined to believe this. Some people like me, either due to genetics(it runs in my family generations back) or through the process of experiences in life are more aware of this perception. I think it’s interesting that some people experience things and others don’t. Hence the narrowminded folks approach to anything that they have not seen with their own eyes. That attitude can work sometimes, but if we take it with things that are still undiscovered ,we stall as human beings. After all, if we said preventing Polio was a waste of time because we don’t understand how vaccines work millions of people would be dead. Research and documentation via experimentation and other forms of verification are the only way we will find answers. It’s really as simple as that. Just my humble opinion.

“Some are fakes? How about “all”? Anyway, there’s a million dollar prize just waiting for anyone who can demonstrate paranormal powers. The bucks have been on the table for years, but nobody has claimed it. Some people may be more perceptive or observant than others, but that hardly makes them “psychic”. “

What I can’t understand is the hate and arrogance from Mark. Whether you belive the Bible is the Opium for the Masses or not; you could take a lesson from Jesus: Acceptance, Love and Forgiveness. Your arrogance is pitiful and a sin. Your life is miserable because you are so miserable. Reading through your posts shows me that you have a lot of time and you may be very lonely. Joining a Church or volunteering to help others will teach you tolerance. Before you reply to my post, stop and take an assesment of your life. Look inward and be honest with yourself.

Is that your name, or is it what you do?

My life is far from miserable. I have alot of time, because I run a successful business from home. I just find it hard to understand why anyone would openly show their ignorance by proclaiming that they believe in a “god”. Religion is a cop out. Maybe you should take a step back, and look at yourself, and ask yourself ” Why do I need guidence from an imaginary man in the sky”?. Be honest with yourself.

Regarding James Randi-This is a man who was a magician, he has no training or education in parapsychology and obviously no abilities. The reason that spiritual workers do not accept his challenge is simply because it doesn’t work that way. And I’m sure knowing James Randi and how he is no experiment would garner the results that he is looking for. I’ve always gotten the feeling from him that he is deeply troubled. I don’t understand his hostility or why he feels the need to humiliate other people on camera. Of course he is entitled to his beliefs but he forces them on others. He has no scientific training whatsoever, isn’t even college educated. Seems like he has some sort of inferiority complex to me. It is the same thing as asking a poet to write a beautiful piece of poety on command, or asking an artist to paint on command an original painting. Some people have developed their gifts to such an extent that they can produce results. But I believe that these experiences cannot be quantified by provencial mathematics, which is what Randi wants. Think about it, it’s almost like asking a scientist to prove when someone is going to die, to prove when someone will get into a fatal car accident, to prove when someones marriage will end. These are the uknowns in life, but that doesn’t mean that we have to conclude that it isn’t “real” because we cannot compartmentalize it. Narrow minded people always result to the herding instinct and try and prevent progress and enlightenment from happening-history has proven that! Kate

There is only one race-the human race-the rest is just culture and some folks getting more sunshine because of where they live-daaaaa-as my nine year old would say. I thought this board was to address the paranormal-it’s funny how tangents happen. Mark, I wonder if I might ask about your background..educational, cultural? Where were these beliefs and attitudes that you carry founded? I hope you are young so that you may explore this world a bit more before you leave it. There are so many intersting and wonderful things to see. People in this life usually base their belief systems on what their parents believed or didn’t believe or some, like myself base their beliefs on personal experience. I still to this day can’t believe what our family went through. Even with all of my paranormal experiences our demonic haunting took the life out of me. I will probably never be the same person. But I go on and try to look at all the world has to offer. There is so much in the world we don’t understand-couldn’t you be open to the possiblity that you just haven’t seen it yet?

Actually, I was brought up in an upscale neighborhood. All white. Blacks were shooed away. My graduating class was over 900 students. 1 was black. She was the janitor’s daughter. When I moved to a more “diversified” area, I learned early on that most blacks were uneducated, violent welfare recieving thieves. MLK marched while rocks were tossed at him for equality. He died for you people to have equal rights. He must be rolling in his grave, seeing that all his hard work was in vain. Blacks scream for equality, but strive to be different. From their clothing to their “music”. Blacks are moving backwards, and blaming whitey for all their downfalls. Check out you local jail dockets. Open your eyes. read the paper. Learn some facts.

Mark you better read your history, everything this country has was taken. What part of your history you don’t understand. This country has never been fair to anyone of color. We learned to be thieves, because of the way this country was built. Now as far as the jail docket is concerned and you want to keep statistics, whites have the highest suicide, the highest child molestation, the highest spousal abuse, the highest drug use even though it’s keep under cover, the highest greed amongst family members,Afro-americans just don’t walk into schools and kill innocent people because they want to be remembered,or mommy put them out, incest is a favorite amongst your kind, you check out the facts and read your history again. We were a peaceful people until our ancestors were caputured and brought to this country. When England released its unwanted and sent them to this country, thieves, murderers,w*******,robbers, drug addicts, the list goes on.So where did it all come from.Read Winston Churhills book on the making of England, you might be surprised as to what you learn about your people.Yes MLK might be rolling in his grave knowing the government allows drugs to infest the black community.Yes he might be rolling in his grave,to see that this country only modified what he really wanted to see happen. The same way you people did the Native Americans, you do to any people of color.I think you’re afraid to let go,because you people know a change wl come, and everyone wl be equal, and you won’t be able to sit on your throne that you stole.I know your history, but you don’t know mine. You need to read and get the facts and go to a library and read up on your history and find the truth.Tell me since you’re smart. Why is it when a white person slaughters students in a school, the media is quick to say he had problems at home or forgot to take his meds, but when the Afro-americans that shot the people in Maryland a few years ago were captured they were branded as murders.Nothing mentioned that they had problems or mommy did’nt like them.If you think that’s funny, this is the country had a president that lied in office(Water-Gate)and was forgiven, impeached, and still received a pension. In your blind eyesight, that’s ok.You see nothings changed thru history with you people, since you want to classify us as you people.Read the history of the “Trail Of Tears”,or Before The Mayflower,The Diary of Anne Frank,do you have any idea of what the Middle Passage is?I bet you know about Custers Last Stand?Since your’re so upscale and have a good education, answer this question, who was the only survivor at Custers Last Stand?I know your history and it always leaves out the truth.I research the truth, and now nothing surprises me to know that racist gremlins like and maybe others that think like you still exist. You would never survive in the hood. You better pray that you never fall off your throne, because you may become one of the poor misunderstood misfits of society that has nothing else to live for,so therefore you become weak and decide to go the easy way and might want to take innocent people with you.You fit the profile, because what goes up often falls down.Read your history, when the Native Americans tried to protect what was theirs and white settlers were killed,it was called a massacre, but when the so called cavarly slaughtered Native American women, children, and seniors,it was called a victory, when Africans arrived it was called slavery, and to this day it’s still slavery, nothings changed that’s why i call it Modified Genocide,if your dumb —- understand that, then you got your answer to your comments. It took me a while to realize that Tarzan was’nt an African, but could talk to the animals when the Africans could’nt.See how you people program people instead of teaching the truth if you know what that is.You still have a lot to learn about people, you have just as many whites doing the same crimes as blacks, but it’s always low key, that’s how you got your information, they only want you to know what they want you to know. It’s called programming you idiot. The massacre was at The Little Big Horn.Even to this day you’re still trying to take whats not yours. So whose the thieves?Brittany Spears little sister is pregnant by a 19 year old man,and she is only 16.Why is’nt he in jail for stat rape,Genorlow Wilson went to jail, and was only a year older than the female,oh that’s right he’s afro-american and we’re not allowed to do that,so you see different laws for different folks. The news media think thats so cute, but what about the little children that looked up to her as a roll model.Ok so now it’s alright if little susie gets pregnant by adult,as long as he’s white. You seriously need to read and understand what you read,if you can read. You have a lot of serious issues and misunderstandings about people of color. You should seek counselling,i really think you have a bump on your head.

Mark, You have issues!!! Maybe you feel that way because of your demographic?? I live in South Orange County and the African American population is not really represented here. But, I worked in Los Angeles for many years and worked with all races. I have had hostility issues with black women and I am sad to say that I have only one African American friend, but it isn’t for me not trying. Honestly I think it’s cultural and I think a lot of Afrcan Americans feel disinfranchised and ripped off in our society. I don’t think the young black people of today remember the struggles of the previous generations. Just like the young women of today who have children out of wedlock and latch on to a man for identity, they take the Womans Movement for granted. People revert when there’s nothing to push against. I take folks on a one on one basis and I will tell you that some of the nicest and most interesting people I have met have been African American. My father was a racist-he was from Maine. I grew up listening to that nonsense. Reread your post and see how hurtful it is. Lumping people in one category is just plain ignorant.
