Four community health centers will receive the first batch of economic stimulus money for such centers in Georgia. Congressmen Sanford Bishop and John Lewis announced Monday that organizations in Atlanta, Wrightsville, Richland and Hinesville will share $4.9 million to create new clinics, which serve mainly uninsured patients and people with government Medicaid coverage. The stimulus package adds $2 billion in funding to health centers nationally.
