North Georgia artist's work shows simpler era> An Exhibit: Memory Lane —- A Folk Artist Remembers Her Past.
Betty Brown paints from her heart. The works on display at RockBridge Community Bank show Brown's recollection of an earlier time in North Georgia, an era before her beloved countryside near Gainesville stood among the last rural outposts on the edge of burgeoning metro Atlanta.
> The Artist: Betty Brown, widow of the renown self-taught artist Randolph "Tubby" Brown, who died in 2003.
> The Collection: Owned and loaned by Dr. Stan Cohen, a RockBridge shareholder. Cohen's offer to display his collection at RockBridge was accepted by Lauch McKinnon, the bank's president and CEO.
> The Location: RockBridge Commercial Bank, in Sandy Springs at the Two Premier Plaza office building, 5607 Glenridge Drive.
