Duluth job fair set for July 10
About 30 employers expected

The Georgia Department of Labor's Gwinnett Career Center and Goodwill of North Georgia will co-sponsor a job fair July 10 at the Goodwill Center, 1502 Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth.

The event will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"The Duluth job fair is designed to bring employers and organizations in the Gwinnett County area together with job seekers who are looking for employment or career guidance," State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond said in a statement released about the event. "Job seekers will receive cutting-edge information on job search, career planning and other valuable services to help them reach their full workplace potential."

The event will feature about 30 employers who will be hiring to fill current job openings. Other employers will discuss possible future employment opportunities with the job seekers, while other organizations will provide education and other resources.

Applicants should bring resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available job openings.

Among the employers expected to participate are: ADT Protech, Arby's, Career Training Concepts, Clark-Allen Substitute Services, Davis Co., Georgia National Guard, Global Employment Solution, Gwinnett County Police Department, Home Depot, Ikon Office Solutions, Kroger, LCP Hospitality, Primerica, Quality Care for Children, Randstad, U.S. Army, Volt Services Group and Wika Instrument Corp.
