Roswell Road isn't the easiest route to navigate at any time of the day, but for residents on Roberts Drive, it can be a real challenge at night.
A streetlight overhanging Roswell Road, which is supposed to illuminate the Roberts Drive intersection, has been inoperable for at least five months, reports reader Alice Stevens.
"It is difficult to see to turn right onto Roberts Drive, going north on Roswell Road, and going south it is almost impossible to see Roberts for a left turn," she wrote, in an e-mail to Take to Task.
"This is a very dangerous situation. Please shine some light on this problem."
Sounds like an obvious problem for Georgia Power. And wouldn't you know it, after Task sent them an e-mail, they responded quickly.
Carol Boatright, a spokeswoman for the utility company, said Thursday that crews had replaced the bulb in the light in March and April, but apparently weren't able to fix the problem.
On Thursday, Boatright said, a crew dismantled the light and fixed it. "We expect it will be back on tonight," she said.
If it's still not working, Boatright wants neighbors to let Georgia Power know.
