A 28-year-old Statham man was killed Saturday after his truck overturned on Old Fountain Road in Dacula, Gwinnett County Police said.
Steven Mote was driving north on Old Fountain Road near the intersection of Evergreen Eve Crossing when the Ford Ranger he was driving left the road, according to a police news release. The vehicle overturned when Mote, who was not wearing a seat belt, attempted to steer back onto the road. He was ejected and later pronounced dead at the scene.
He was alone in the vehicle. Alcohol and drug tests are pending.
