A 21-year-old man was still hospitalized in critical condition Friday after he nearly drowned at a neighborhood pool in Lawrenceville.
Gwinnett police Sgt. Amanda Cain was sent to 2375 Suwanee Pointe Drive at 6:30 p.m. Sunday to find a 21-year-old man lying on the ground near a community pool.
Lloyd Moseley was unconscious and unresponsive, according to Cpl. David Schiralli, a Gwinnett police spokesman.
Cain reportedly rolled Moseley onto his back and began performing CPR with the assistance of a neighbor who held his head.
Within minutes, Moseley gasped and began breathing on his own, Schiralli said.
Paramedics transported Moseley to Gwinnett Medical Center, where he remained in critical condition on Friday.
Cain, 33, has been with the Gwinnett County Police Department since 1998.
