With less than a month to go until the primary election, DeKalb County voters are running out of time to pick their candidate for the most high-profile local office.
At year's end, Chief Executive Officer Vernon Jones will step down because of term limits. Barring unprecedented returns for a write-in candidate in November, the election will be decided by the July 15 primary or by a runoff three weeks later.
That's because all five candidates —- Joe Bembry, Burrell Ellis, Ann Kimbrough, Steen Miles and Stan Watson —- are Democrats.
Meet the candidates and hear what they have to say at one of the upcoming forums and speaking events scheduled around DeKalb County.
