"Gone With the Wind" Tours. Costumed guides lead tours through the streets of Jonesboro to actual Civil War sites and places made famous by Margaret Mitchell. 1 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays and by appointment. 770-477-8864.

Marietta Carriage Rides. Horse-drawn carriage rides around historic Marietta Square. 7:30-11 p.m. Fridays-Saturdays; weather permitting. $3-$10. Rides begin at North Park and West Park Square. 770-499-9719.

Piedmont Park Walking Tours. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Piedmont Park was once a farm, a Civil War encampment and site of the 1896 Cotton States and International Exposition. No reservations required. 11 a.m. Saturdays. Through November. $5; $4 senior citizens; $3 students. Visitors' Center, Piedmont Avenue at 12th Street. 404-876-2040.

Roswell Historical Society Walking Tour. Stroll down Roswell's historic Mimosa Boulevard and Bulloch Avenue, containing Greek Revival homes and churches built between 1839 and 1845. 10 a.m. Wednesdays; 1 p.m. Saturdays. $3. Reservations: 770-992-1665.
