Customer wins $133M Mega Millions jackpot

A single lottery ticket sold in New York matched all six numbers in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing, which carried a jackpot worth an estimated $133 million.

One ticket sold in Georgia matched the first five numbers, 25, 27, 35, 38 and 39, but missed on the “Mega Ball,” which was 28. That person won $250,000.

The jackpot for Friday night’s drawing is $12 million.

In addition to Georgia, Mega Millions, which began 13 years ago as the “Big Game,” is played in Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, California and Washington state.
